Explanation: The Official Clefairy Cup has returned! Players will go head to head in a battle where the RNG gods will decide their fate. Each player will bring 4 Pokemon from the list below and be limited to only using the move Metronome for the entire battle. Please read the event post carefully to make sure that you understand the rules, if you are confused feel free to ask me. Details: Unlimited Players 4v4 Metronome Tournament Singles, Normal Mode Battles Level 30 Date + Time: Date: Saturday January 9th Time: 5pm EST | 10pm GMT Registration: Post your in-game name on this thread if you would like to participate. Location: Silph Co, Channel 7 Clauses: Species/Pristine/Self KO/Bag Items (except Pokéballs and Leppa Berries, when prompted by a ref) Special Clauses/Rules for this tournament: The only held item allowed for this tournament are Leppa Berries. All Pokemon should come into battle hold a Leppa Berry in case it runs out of Metronome PP. If the Pokemon runs out of PP after the use of the held Leppa Berry, a staff member will instruct you to use another one from your bag. You will not be punished if you forget to equip a Leppa Berry but you will be disqualified if you are found to be using any other held item in this tournament. Taunt and Mean Look/Spider Web/Block: In the rare event that a player rolls Taunt through Metronome, the taunted player must switch out immediately, so they can avoid using moves that arent Metronome. However, in the even rarer event that a player gets Mean Looked/Spider Webbed and then Taunted, a staff member will ask the taunted player to then throw Pokéballs until Taunt wears off. Imprison: If a Pokemon uses Imprison through Metronome it must switch out immediately. Only the use of Metronome is allowed. If you use a move that is not Metronome you will be disqualified. The staff of this game is filled with armchair economists, it's hilarious watch, i'll do it too: By putting PCs in secret bases, you'd be breathing life into what is currently a useless mechanic, and more people would in turn buy secret base decorations since they'd be relevant again. Someone went to 70% of their microecon classes Seriously though, the fact that you're comparing the market effects of the lucky egg glitch to the possible ramifications of a slight decrease in repel purchases shows how out of touch you are with this game's economy. Literally the entire economy was centered around lucky eggs back then, and the economy as a result was extremely unhealthy. Pair that with the fact that we had NO money sinks whatsoever, and it's pretty easy to see why the effects were so devastating. Meanwhile, in this scenario, we have a relatively stable economy with a bevy of money sinks to help combat inflation. I watched Darkshade's video the other day about money sinks and MMO economies, and it made a lot of sense - however, for you to insinuate that placing PCs in secret bases would negate all the safeguards currently in place and destroy the economy seems like exaggeration to say the least. -removed the off topic observation that is basically just preaching to the choir- Edit: would also love to see you address Vael's question, as to how your exaggerated hypothetical would even apply to this suggestion

It was mentioned a WHILE back by Darkshade that a new form of character customization would be making its way into Pokemmo, with new sprite models, vanities, and color options. Usually not a good idea to listen to rumors. We haven't had any full OU tournaments yet to see the OU meta without dugtrio. And with tiering policies, bans will basically never take place unless a month passes between a ban.

A friend asked me to make a sprite for him, and I thought it would be a fun thing to try. I ended up liking it a lot, so I did a few more. Only did the (front) overworld sprites as of now. I think what you mean is no NEGATIVE ramifications would be felt immediately. Positive consequences of this suggestion are numerous and would take place instantaneously. I guess my question becomes this: how is your illustration relevant to this suggestion? We are not currently in an economy lacking in an outflow of currency. Repels are but one of several money sinks, and there's very little, if any, credible evidence to suggest that this money sink would even be affected.

I mean, if developers don't want to improve gameplay by implementing a pc in our secret bases then I guess we will just have to live with it. I mean the pros are fairly extensive; from offering a healing station for private battles, a location to sit privately to organize your boxes, and a location to manage everything from mail to the GTL in a private setting that is your own. If they're scared of people using this as a benefit, well I guess that's a shame since it would offer a nice convenience for players in multiple ways. The longer a player is in game isn't necessarily a bad thing is it? Why would having a secret base near a farming patch be so terrible? There are so many money sinks in this game that letting a small number of people (shiny hunters in a particular spot) have a pc near a farming patch wouldn't hurt the game as much as this implementation would help it. Just my two cents.

If the PC would cost many BPs, no one would be able to exploit secret bases during storyline. Also you could make it so that you can't use the Secret Bases PC unless your party is fully healed, or just code the PC to not heal Pokes. I mean, how hard would it be to implement it? If you devs are lazy just say it, no point to find silly excuses.

why every idea become complicated with you guys ? this idea seems great , and who cares if people exploit that coz its cool for " certain thing " you think shiny hunting would be piece of cake then ? , i personally think most people i know are lazy to make a bace pc coz they dont the see a good point of it. Rather than having to calc what our pokemon's stats are if they're over leveled, I think the level 50 stats should be shown in a different color to the right of its current stats so that we know what we're workng with in duels.
