Well, you've proven yourself wrong here. You can now see why I thought you didn't understand what a check was. Here are some calcs of pokemon that, with a free switch in, check mamoswine. (The 80 base speed pokemon and below require a scarf, obviously) I've only included pokemon that kill mamo from full or after rocks. When we take into consideration pokemon that can check mamo after chipping, there are many more. I've also only included pokemon in the uu tier. When we look beyond into NU, there are many more viable checks to mamoswine availabe. I know a lot of these are unorthodox, but I am demonstrating the ability for the metagame to adapt to something more offensive. Yes, there are a ton. Yes, you must keep most of these pokemon healthy in order to keep mamoswine in check. This is how pokemon is played, you have to manage your resources correctly in order to not get swept. With so many checks, it also is very possible to have several checks in a team. I don't think this is unhealthy for the metagame. Well, no, it's not irrelevant. Mamoswine has to use ice shard to hit these pokemon and like I just addressed, keeping certain pokemon healthy to deal with mamo throughout the match is crucial in playing against it. I have demonstrated that there are many options to kill mamoswine, so mamo is not going to be centralizing in that way. Yes, there are few defensive options to handle mamo, but a wallbreaker to the overpowered walls in uu is necessary. Things like forre, gligar, mandi, dusclops, snorlax, and now p2, were able to wall a huge portion of the tier. I'd like to look at a couple of defensive options for mamo that i think you overlooked. (still, there aren't many). Shelmet and misdreavus, I know, aren't very viable, but I thought I'd include them anyways lol. This is very incorrect. We've seen a shift into more offensive play in both OU and NU, where wallbreakers are much more abundant. Bulkier teams still exist, but it's a huge difference from what we're seeing in UU. No it's not the fault of the people that choose to use bulky teams, it's the fault of the metagame that punishes more offensive play. That pretty much concludes why I think mamoswine is not overpowered and is necessary in UU. Since you couldn't help yourself but to make this discussion into some kind of personal beef, like the drama queen you are, I guess I should respond to this. No, I don't have any official wins, but I have many non-automated unofficial wins and have been a horse in several TT wins. This on top of the respect of peers that I consider much better than you. I find it funny that you would mention a win over me (in a tier I very much dislike and don't play), after your embarrassing losses this season. I've clearly been much more successful this season.

You are misunderstanding the "fair play" aspect quite a bit. Adding an option to speed up the gameplay becomes a requirement instead of an option. Effectively you no longer have a "Make the game faster" and "regular speed", you have "regular speed" and "extra slow". This is different from item/effects which increase the speed in other ways, since animations are part of the the baseline rate. For an existing example, take a look at text speed. It currently defaults to the maximum setting. The option used to default to half, but users who didn't notice the option were at a disadvantage compared to who did. This was bad design so the default was updated to address this issue. I'm sorry if you dislike our decision, but we are not interested in adding this option at this time.

Dibz response is actually very relevant in this case. It is the PVE aspect of the MMO experience that we need to keep everyone on a level playing field as much as possible. Having players stop animations to hunt faster and progress through the storyline or farm for money, pokes, etc quicker is not what we want to have occur. This is a massively online world where everyone playing is contributing to the world in some way including the economy of the server.

I'd like to suggest showing the abilites of pokemon in the pokedex, maybe also in the window where the possible moves are shown. It's probably a rather small change, but it would certainly cut down the time to look for possible abilities.

Pokemon Go is actually an amazing example of why it wouldn't work for the type of MMO that PokeMMO is. Due to irl issues I've missed Treecko Community Day. The next day I've asked random dude if he has any shiny treecko for a trade, he nodded, we exchanged our friend codes to make it cheaper days later, and we agreed to trade treecko for some random dratini. He had like 20 treecko, so they became almost worthless to him, but he needed another normal random "iv" dratini. I gave away like 13 shiny swinubs to people, because >swinub and I had like 26 anyway. Who needs 26 shiny swinubs, honestly. Now, imagine the same situation in PokeMMO. Next Saturday we announce that there will be shiny Tauros weekend. Well, you just have spent 100+m on shiny tauros today, and you are literally screwed since your shiny will become basically worthless, or at least VERY reduced in value. This can potentially kill basically the whole point of trading shinies- I wouldn't trade for any shiny, if I would know they can come in "PokeMMO Community Day" one day. This also applies to the "motivation" aspect you mentioned- sure it will increase shiny hunt on those days, but will also damage hunt on other days. I wouldn't go hunt for shiny treecko today, because what's the point, it has no increased rate, and I can get one easily from players, even if it will take few days to trade.

You dont know what a check is, it has a ton of checks. It needs to be dealt with offensively, which there are plenty of options considering how slow it is. Before there was an extreme lack of wallbreakers in the tier and it was dominated by bulky teams. I believe it's healthy for the tier to introduce some new wallbreakers. A lot of people would disagree, in fact many people were calling it the worst tier for how slow it was.

They don't, which allows you to switch your team between rounds. If you were worried about scouting, it would make more sense to randomize the bracket after each round rather than completely locking teams, as it does have its positives. Bold statement considering it's been going strong for 6 years. If the game dies it'll be because of inflation or lack of content, not because a few people dislike the tournament system.

It will damage the shiny-economy. It will also reduce the amount of people shiny hunting during non-event periods, reducing overall gameplay time. Those downsides are impactful enough to decline your suggestion.

I actually figured it out not long after this, you have to open up the mod folder, show path bar, and go to the data folder. From there, you open the themes folder and add your theme you downloaded into there. obviously go to settings and interface, change it and ta-da! Somewhat long process but it works. (i added my own image to a theme)

Considering this is an MMO and everyone needs to be on the same "time", being able to disable battle animations would still require you to wait the duration of the animation anyway, so what's the point? Everyone has to be synced so it wouldn't make battles any faster.

I'm happy to see such universal support for our Mayor, Bestfriends. It touches my heart. With his many years of community contributions, he truly deserves the role.
