The main event is now over, and some players have expressed concern regarding Anniversary Medallions, as they did not immediately become exchangeable for Chests after the event expired: Anniversary Medallions will be automatically exchanged for regular Anniversary Chests during the next server maintenance, at a ratio of 7:1 Chests per Medallion (approximate market rate at the time of the event's end.) So, hang onto them until then Anniversary Medallions can no longer drop from Anniversary Chests. They were automatically removed when the event expired. Thank you for playing.

A small QoL-feature that I think would be nice is having a toggle on the Pokemon's move window to prevent learning any new level up moves. Honestly, even more time consuming than leveling up a baby Pokemon all the time is to press cancel on like a million level up moves which just feels so annoying and pointless. Also useful when you already have your moveset ready and you wanna save a bit of time. It's not that clicking cancel a million times is even MMO-related grind, it's really just a major inconvenience and rather major annoyance when doing any breeds with species that have a baby Pokemon form. I don't know if this has ever been suggested, did a few search words and found nothing related.

Medallions were automatically removed from the chests when the event expired, so you can not get more. They will be automatically exchanged for regular Anniversary Chests at market rates (approximately 7:1 regular chests per medal) during the next server maintenance.

That doesn't make sense because it's logical that when an event ends, everything related to the event ends. Having red stay a few more days is just poor planning on the part of players. It would be the same as if red left like he was supposed to, at the end of the event. Players should plan better

Welcome to VGC Season 0, a month long seasonal tournament bringing the best players, in the most competitive tier together to compete and see who is the best of the best. Season 0 is a trial season, if the event is successful I will commit to a larger tournament, with bigger prizes for season 1. Due to restrictions in MMO things will be adapted from the standard VGC in the games Signups: Format: The 32 players will be randomly drafted into 8 groups of 4. Each week for 3 weeks you will play one of the players from your group. The winner's and second place of each group proceed to a final tournament, hosted at Silph Co. All third place finishes will become reserve spots for the finals. Finals will be a straight 16 man bracket. Winners proceed and losers exit until we have a final winner. Rules: 1: Before week 1, all signups will fill out the following for each Pokemon on their team and send it to me. This will be the team you use for the ENTIRE tournament, so choose wisely. This information will be made publicly available for everyone in the tournament. This is for a number of reasons 2: Each battle will be a 4v4 Doubles best of 3 format. Good players adapt quickly to any tier or game format, whether OU/NU or Singles/Doubles, so honestly I wouldn't mind one bit if there was another gym with a unique, leader-specific tier (even if it was mine weakest tier) as we have enough time to challenge everyone multiple times, and I'm pretty sure I'm capable of beating anyone in any game mode.

The big distinction between tiers and formats isnt the meta, its the mechanics. The mechanics of OU are the same as UU and NU, but the mechanics of a singles battle is totally different from doubles. Whilst you can take your knowledge of OU mechanics to the lower tiers, its far less applicable to Dubs (and vice versa)

All my events intent is to be fun. I wouldn't do them otherwise. You have 8 weeks, you can make a team or borrow from a team mate/friend if you really wanted a badge. Also fun is subjective and you don't find this idea fun, in which case I'd suggest you go play some ladder matches instead, you can pick your tier there.

This 10 Year Anniversary event was one of the most epic events that I witnessed as my time playing PokeMMO. Kudos to the Dev Team for their hard work! All the best for Part 3 of this update!

I regretted asking the gyms to create their own rule. Seriously, all gyms have the damn rule of "you still have to win at least in two different tiers vs trainers to challenge the leader". Bro, I'm the challenger, like sayed here at General Thread, I have the right to choose the Tiers I want to play against the trainers. And in the legendary gyms, where I could choose to play all in the randoms, to hide my team from the leader and face him with a surprise card, I can't anymore because of that. A event that come to be 4fun, now is a event of Elite Players, Because if you don't want to face gym leader, with him using a team to counter perfectly your team, you need to bring at least a full box of comp mons, a thing that only rich players can have.

Why not replace this whole section with a one time use item (just like the dyes but) that lets you pick any color you want from these The item would be worth 75rps from gift shop. Why? -> well because we want as many color choices as possible for vanities. + Adding an item which does this would be look much neater than adding all those additional color dyes on the gift shop.

I dont really buy into the whole "versatility" and "exerience" stuff when it comes to dubs/singles. Theyre seperate formats, like VGC and singles, or heck to give a real world analogy sevens rugby vs rugby. Yeah there are obviously inherent similarities, but theyre different sports. I dunno, I guess the big thing is that if we want the players to be versatile, we should expect the same from the gym leaders. Unless we're just gonna acknowledge that the gym leaders aren't necessarily the best of that team, in which case their choice to select dubs is definetly a choice to try cheese things/the other better players dont want to be gym leader

I get that, but there is a difference between playing OU, UU, NU and not dubs, versus playing dubs and not the other 3. Imo you're a versatile player if you can play all the singles tiers, forcing someone to play a whole different format when there are 3 other options available is definitely cheesy as havs said.

Give anyone (quick maffs: 8weeks/3days=) 18 attempts to beat any player in the game and it’s pretty likely that after a while they will win a game or two. We’re playing pokemon, not chess. If you are confident you can’t win a single game out of 18, I’m not sure why you would attempt to reach the final tournament in the first place. It’s meant to be selective, weeding out people who are not able to adapt, otherwise everyone would make it to the final tournament. Those who can adapt will discover a new tier and be satisfied with their progression over the 8 weeks. Those who are unwilling to adapt are in no way forced to, as they can collect the rest of the badges, those that are attainable for them without having to play the tier(s) they are profoundly allergic to.

I believe that each team should use the weapons they have at their disposal to their advantage to offer a worthy challenge to their Gym Leader. Our team is very limited by being an exclusive team only of players of the same nationality, and this means that sometimes we can't recruit the most "acclaimed" names of the competitive in each tier, and that's exactly why we decided to choose by the Doubles tier in our Gym Leader. I know that most people don't know how to play Doubles because it's the most different, difficult and complex tier, and having knowledge about this tier is what makes me able to provide a good challenge to any great player on any other team.

Can we make gym leader battles BO3 with a format like (OU/Challenger's choice/Gym leader's choice) to avoid the situation where you will forever have to play a tier/format you don't like/play since that's always the option gym leaders will choose against you ? Like, OK I like that a badge needs challenge to be claimed but being forced to play a fucking Doubles match after climbing my way to a gym leader seems the definition of not fun.

Sufficient to say from my side, that this anniversary event and the update made me log in and actively play again, so for me that was a bomb. Event was great, competitive updates are awesome and super exciting, vanities are amazing (Turtle shell ftw) and even particles are amazing. I don't remember when was the last time I genuinely had fun in this game. Thank you.

This event truly was spectacular. Sure, it was a little late, but as soon as the event came out, it became increasingly more apparent as to why the hold up. Great effort, great event. Awesome cosmetics, the alphas were an unexpected added touch. A 2 week event rather thsn the usual 7. And despite the big changes, rather minimal bugs on top of releasing an iOS version. Credit where its due, staff and devs did a great job in our opinion. Thankyou very much for the great event!!!!!

Caio, before you started playing this shit, the current hosts of [BR] had already won a world cup for Brazil (World Cup 1) and in addition we won 3 Team Tournament in all, and we had the best performance among all teams of server in 2021, so before saying that we do not represent our country, remember that no other BR team has achieved even half of what we have achieved in the competitive scenario.
