  1. Mawile, Froslass and Lilligant are my top 3. Wooper, Quagsire, Paras and Oshawot are next.
  2. From my observation trainers use healing items if a pokemon is around 30-40% health left. And around 50% if it also has a status condition.
  3. That's sucks. At least now you know what to expect and be better prepared next time.
  4. 1, Because it's fun. And who are you to tell people on how to enjoy MMOs? I've played MMOs where the whole point is role-playing Just because people aren't farming then they're playing the game wrong? And how does the random battle reduce the lifespan of the game? A game which is already 7 years old, mind you. Yeah, new players interested in the mode would just make an account and play it and eventually quit, but what about old players? They play for a bit then what? They'll quit too? Hell no, they're just going to go back to whatever they were doing before the update, whether that's farming shinies or PvP or just socializing. This update isn't going to kill the game. 2. UU, NU and Doubles already has a small playerbase. And new players aren't interested in that. They almost always jump straight into OU. LC was deleted because it didn't have enough players. 3. Pretty sure they made the rewards less because the devs didn't want random battles to replace traitional PvP. Random battles is a great way for players who are interested in PvP but don't want to invest time and money on making a competitive team. You think that's a bad thing but it really isn't. Not everyone wants to spend 400k-600k per pokemon on making a comp team. And if they want a new team? They gotta spend more money. I got bored VERY quickly playing OU after investing a lot on my team. I made a new for UU and NU team but also got bored because I was just using the same team every single time. There was no variety. Random battle is a nice change of pace. 'jUsT pLaY sHoWdOwN' No.
  5. Always take screenshots. Mods are very strict about scamming so the other person always gets punished and you get your Pokemon back. Having proof of what happened would make your case go more smoothly. Also if you're really worried you can ask a GM to trade with you instead. Like for expensive Pokemons like 6x31 and such. There's almost always one in chat or in the Discord server.
  6. 1. Making breeding have a daily limit is cancer. First off what's stopping players from making new accounts and breeding on those new accounts? All this will do is add one more tedious step. Of course you're going to say 'jUsT LiMiT oNe AcCoUnT pEr Ip'. And what about people living with others? College dorms? Shared WiFi? Second, what's going to happen to players who don't play everyday? Imagine someone working 12 hours shifts with a 2 hour commute, like me, and they don't have the energy to play the game. What happens to them? What, they can only breed 1 pokemon on their day off which is only 3 days? So others can breed 7 pokemon a week while people like me can only breed 3? Get out of here. 2. Making a pokemon extremely rare isn't going to do squat. Take Excadrill for example. A pretty good pokemon for PvP. They changed it so it can only be caught in phenomenas which is extremely rare. Do you know how much it's selling for? 5k. Sorry, but making a pokemon hard to find isn't going to magically drive prices up. Also these suggestion isn't what I would call 'balanced and friendly'. New players will have a harder time breeding the pokemon they want for PvP while older players already have the teams they need. Also older players have a lot of uneeded pokemons just sitting in their PC. If prices for certain pokemon did go up from 3k to 200k then all it will do is make older players have more money. The rich gets richer.
  7. Yes. The Pokedex description of Cherubi is that it's 'sweet and delicious'.
  8. Gengar - Life Orb Heracross - Choice Band Milotic - Leftovers Gengar is speedy and fainting a pokemon without losing any/too much health is good. Give it Destiny Bond to get a 2nd one. I forget what moves it had. Close Combat and Megahorn Heracross with Choice Band hits hard. And it's relatively fast. Earthquake and Rock Slide for coverage. Milotic walls most things and give it Scald/Toxic and just stall them. Scald, Toxic, Recover, Haze. Didn't use Haze that much but I didn't know what else to use.
  9. I've done and completed a similar run before, although my rules were a bit more lax. In my run I didn't restrict myself to what Smeargle can Sketch in the wild so I was able to do any combination of moves by using my main account and letting Smeargles Sketch what I already had access too (which was pretty much everything). Since he's not doing that and want to only use moves he encounters it'll be more difficult but I still don't think it's impossible. 1. If he manages to get Metronome early on then he should be able to Sketch pretty much anything as long as RNG is nice. Although I'm not sure where to get Metronome. 2. Encore lets him fish for moves so the enemy Pokemon isn't stuck doing the same move over and over again. I don't remember what I did for the Tate and Liza fight but some ways to do it is use Follow Me or Rage Powder on one Smeargle with Focus Sash so it can guarantee taking two hits, while the other Smeargle use stat upping moves, like Shell Smash then just sweep. Another option is to use Toxic and stall your way to victory. Use moves like Mean Look or Bind to prevent one of them from switching. Anyways, some tips for this run. I think it was Sinnoh or Unova that forces you to fight with another trainer in a double battle. I remember one of them having a Chansey, make sure to get everything you can from it. Healing moves are pretty good. Also be prepared to lose a lot. Not because it'll be hard but because you're going to want to Sketch moves from trainers and gym leaders so you don't have to try to get those moves in the wild. Good luck.
  10. The reason behind the nerf is because of PvE and not PvP. The game's AI is stupidly simple and anyone with a brain can use Shedinja to make 90% of the game into a joke.
  11. If the problem is players buying cheap shinies in the GTL and using them as raffle prizes, why not just say you can't raffle them out unless they have their OT?
  12. Log in using the client. There's really no reason to log in using the website. If you want to donate you do so in the game client.
  13. If you're not worried about the costs of healing items you can probably brute force your way with any hyper-offensive teams. But if you actually want to make money with the E4 then it becomes trickier. The best I got is a team that can beat Kanto easily and Unova but with some items used. I've also used the same team for Sinnoh and it worked but that was when the region first came out, I haven't done it at all recently so I'm just going to assume it doesn't work anymore. Hoenn just kills my team, especially the first E4 match. My team is Chansey, Skarmory, Ferrothorn, Chandelure, Krookodile and Salamence.
  14. I guess I'm one of the few that hated it. Mega Evolution was a dumb gimmick that forced everyone to have one on their team because they were just stupidly strong. I would have tolerated it if every single pokemon has a mega evolution but no. If the team I like using doesn't have mega evolution then I'm either forced to change it to keep up with the power creep or just become weaker if I don't. No thanks.
