  1. Day 8: Going for some bigger ones tomorrow Result: Win Result: L but what a game that was to watch Result: Also an L but if I could pay $20 for Chelsea to lose every week I would
  2. And I threw our free bet on a 5 way parlay that hit just now Up to $240 again ez
  3. Big congratulations to Yjos for winning Season 0 of VGC Myself, Nagahex and Kepzal finished tied for 2nd and will split 2nd/3rd place prize Thank you all for participating, we are going to do Season 1 differently (no final tournament, just schedule matches each week, couple of other changes). Until next time, it was a blast hosting! https://challonge.com/dt87h3r3
  4. https://challonge.com/dt87h3r3 for the 5 that showed
  5. you're right, we havent started anyways Show up in 35
  6. Silph Co ch4 in 1 min, starting with whoever is here
  7. Day 7: Reason: I’m a Spurs fan, that and we should be more than enough to see off a Wolves team off to a shaky start. Perisic getting the nod should give Son more licence to cut inside and I’m backing Kulu to actually have a crack this game Result: L, game ended 1-0 and Kulu had no shot Reason: bit of a derby, backing some cards and a simple home W Result: Easy W
  8. Day 6: Back at it with two aggressive bets, trying to win big. If not then we have $100 and a free bet from bet365 for this weekends fixtures Reason: Sevilla will be disappointed to not have won last week, while Valladolid got pumped 3-0. Predicting a home win and two goals for the home side Result: L - Sevilla never looked like scoring a 2nd in a 1-1 draw Reason: Both teams to have a card has hit in all of the last 5 Millwall matches. Norwich is at home and have the stronger side, but Millwall has been on a good run of form. I’ve gone for the home side but wouldn’t be surprised if this gets kicked out for a 0-0 or 1-1 Result: Big W

  13. Hey everyone, thank you so much for your participation in the group stages. Here are the final standings for groups https://challonge.com/x6a64ujh/groups Prizes for group winners will be mailed out, in the case of Group D having a 3 way tie the 1m will be split between the 3 Now. Given we had a weird format with 20 players, then a bye and Medio becoming a bye after 1 week, I was purposely quiet on how finals would work this Saturday. As it happens we have had 4 spots finish without a win. Those 4 will become reserves for the 16 man bracket. That leaves us with 16 players, making it really easy to do a straight bracket. Players have been split up in the bracket based upon their W/L record. Everyone with 3 wins has a round 1 vs anyone that got 1 W. For those with 2 wins you have been randomly matched up with everyone left, avoiding people from the same group facing off in round 1 and those with 3 wins unable to play each other until Semifinals https://challonge.com/gxhe4lnz The final bracket for this tournament will be played Saturday August 20th @ 11AM EST Please react to confirm your participation
  14. Day 5: somehow despite keeping the winning average up, I’m losing more often on the bigger bets and winning moreon the high risk ones. We are at a measly $225 right now Reason: Backing two of the Championship big boys to pick up wins at home against newly promoted Sunderland and a more risky pick against high flying Cardiff New York should have beat Miami the other day, and a return to winning ways against a Charlotte side who just got pumped 5-0 seems like a decent shout too Going to start flexing the spending power a bit more, go all in or go home Result: First bet L - Sheff Utd won, West Brom kept being useless and got a 0-0. Second bet L - New York dominated the match, but somehow conceded two late goals and lost
  15. Day 4: Reason: Having watched LAFC demolish Charlotte the other day while resting Chiellini and Bale I can’t not back them again. The best team against the worst in the league. DC United missing 6 first team players. A rested Bale and Chiellini. I played it safe with -1.5 but could easily see this being 4 or 5 Result: Big L - LA rested Bale and Chiellini again and somehow only managed 1 goal against 10 man DC Reason: backing Norwich to finally kick start their championship season at home. Huddersfield are a mid table level side and Norwich should be able to put them away Result: Win
  16. While waiting for Edwardinho I am going to clear some things up, also thanks to the staff member that cleaned this thread up who I wont name at risk of them being flamed by jajas 1: I don't owe anyone answers, especially those with no involvement in this tournament 2: I didn't take a bribe, and never have for ANY unofficial 3: My first and only goal with this tournament is to have fun, unofficials have been hijacked in the past by poor hosts who have taken the fun out of these tournaments, with strict rules and stupid decisions. My hope is that PSL, WC and others can eventually get back to being fun with some good hosts. 4: With the concept of fun in mind, I made the best decision I could make last week in regards to Eric and Killua. Its not as cut and dry as saying either I fucked up or killua cheated. He made a mistake with his team, I accepted that a mistake was made (with no deliberate attempt to cheat) and any battles he had already played were given to his opponent. From there I let fun take over, the remaining battles were played and the fairest outcome was reached. I won't be commenting further on the matter. If Gbwead and Caioxlive feel so passionate about the matter I encourage them to keep running their shitty tournaments elsewhere
  17. Today has been a lesson in keeping it simple, not picking a winner between Spurs and Chelsea was ultimately right and Roma won... but the added cards/corners/goals on the odds messed things up. Day 3: Reason: A little MLS accumulator here for this evening/morning for those in Europe. Its the MLS so im backing goals. Nashville vs Minnesota has the makings of a feisty midtable clash. Minnesoto has seen 3+ goals in 8 of their last 10. Seattle have scored at home in all of their home games since April and Real Salt lake away games have been seen both teams scoring in the last 5 Result: Win Reason: Liverpool have won 13 of their last 15 home games by 2 or more goals. Last season's encounters between these 2 had 9 yellow cards and Liverpool's extra emphasis on attacking with wide balls for Nunez should see them comfortably get at least 3 corners. Result: BIG L - Cashed out right after the Nunez red, saved myself $4.17 Reason: I was looking at Bilbao to use our spare $12 and change but the odds seemed like poor value, especially for the card market given their last H2H featured 10 yellows! So I moved to Atletico, they have not lost to Getafe in the last 21 encounters… winning 18 of those. Simple choice Paired it with a Juve win, Juve has invested smartly this summer to try and reclaim Serie A. They have won 4 of the 5 last H2Hs with Sassuolo and haven’t lost back to back Serie A openers since the 80s. Another simple pick by the looks of it Result: Win
  18. Yeah, I keep an eye on the football Reddit one. But I’ve had mixed success there. I find trusting myself has usually worked better
