After numerous thoughts and considerations I believe Draco Meteor has no place in MMO especially Choice Specs damages. It's just absurd and insane hitting everything on big damages if it's not named Chansey/Blissey/Empoleon. A scarf/life orb Draco Meteor can be somewhat handled with AV Mienshao/Tyranitar or "Steel Resistances", but the specs is just huge damages that you can't recover from. Most players prefer immediate damage with Specs rather than setting up and going for 50/50's.

Also something that some people might not be keeping an eye on is the slight increase in usage of Empoleon in OU it's currently sits at 3.09%. Give it another month, and more players would recognize Empoleon as a huge answer to Hydreigon and it will rise up to OU.

Empoleon is a core mon in UU and it going back to OU will cause to UU.

If y'all want to savour some headache from the future with UU Shifting and mons dropping to NU due to team changes and usages I think handling the core problem "Draco Meteor" would be the best outcome. not nerfing not removing nasty plot or any of these ideas

While im agreeing with the first part of your message, the second part of your post has nothing to do with Draco Meteor Hydreigon in OU. UU shift will always be related to what happen in OU and it shouldnt be an argument at all when we need to discuss about something in OU. Keeping draco meteor on hydreigon will put Empoleon in OU? Probably yes, but it's how tier works and it wont influence our opinion about keeping DM hydrei or not in OU.

  2. In my opinion, boosting sharpness to 1,4 is a bad idea. When it was annonced to us, some TC member already pointed that the nerf to 1,3 was fine and didnt need change. We got for answer that it can be reverted if it becomes busted again. However, the main problem here is that we just play with the original game aspect and this can make us go in the wrong way about tiering in the game. I dont think 1,4 buff will make gallade broken again but i personnaly dont like we have to play with something that's not pokemon.

I did not express my opinion when it got mentionned in TC chat because i dont really know how im supposed to think about it. Yes it shouldnt hurt the tier but is it good to play with the real statistic and mechanic from the original game ? i'm really not sure about that.

  3. We already know what Venomoth is able to do last time we tested it and NU didnt gain anything more to deal with it. Nu even lost some things that might be able to deal with it in some case.

Venomoth is , in my opinion again, not healthy for the tier. His only check that might be able to deal with almost all his set is gigalith, a mon that can heal only with rest, when other check like golbat are getting destroy by some coverage move (psychic in this case). Like mentioned in the main post, NU doesnt have the possibility to outspeed Venomoth when he started setting up and you just need to figure what set he is running to deal with it correctly and like i said previously, if you dont run gigalith you might lose to some specific set.

My final opinion is to not letting drop Venomoth and go for a quickban.

  4. So it's the first time medicham dropping, on paper it looks strong and it might be broken but i think it deserves at least a try since we already got times when we tought something was broken and finally it was fine.
Medicham can be revenge killed easily and his priority move arent that great and you lose coverage to get priority.
Medicham can go throught defensive core but it need to press the right move at the right time and with a life orb medicham can weak himself really fast.

With this suspect test we will be able to see if it's broken like everyone is saying and in this case we will have the opportunity to vote for a ban or a quick ban but i think banning it without even testing it is , in my opinion, a mistake.

  5. i agree with your suggestion but i would really prefer another way to get legendaries by far, we are just afk hunting something that everyone wanted for years. That's not rewarding at all to just get lucky to get them. Shaymin system was way better and was at least "rewarding" for the people who want to get it. Same with rainbow quills lo this is just dumb we need to get lucky aswell to get them.

1st controversial problem - Pay to Enter event

If you had spent all this time training instead of writing all these non sense of thread and other shit, maybe you would have been lucky to get picked into the brazil team, im pretty sur some player that got accepted didnt spend any pokedollars to enter.

2nd controversial - Little Cup Forced.

Major example is Belgium: Even with countrys like The Netherlands and United Kingdom, having only 1 player Little Cup that was their Captains, QuinnW and KaynineXL respectively, deciding to take the risk to play LC, they in a act of disrespect, refused to play the tier with eight LC players registered. "But belgium registered their players on all tiers to get easier to switch them on the tiers if needed." - then the players was disrespecting the tour and not taking the registration seriously.

dont speak about us pls, we had the choice and we choose what is the best for us not for the other team lol

3rd controversial - Gbwead hearing who he wants.

People suggesting things and the host declining is something normal to events. Happens a lot. A unacceptable situation was the one that come happening in some tours that are people blaming others for no reason, like Grand Slam's post, people blaming the host because it decided to be anonymous(Like, what's the f*** problem? If a host doesn't want to reveal himself is fine. He just need to pay the winners of event, and not do s*** on events like Gb did this year to World Cup(Sorry Gb, you can be a excellent host to PSL, but not for World Cup. At least not until you understand both are whole different enviroments with different realitys each.) and if they don't pay and basically scam everyone, people can just report and staff will eventually found it. Edits of posts can be founded by them and they can found a IGN to track. People on forum are not familiarized with that but imo a anonymous host have no advantage or disadvantage compared to a regular host(only truly advantage is if the player does *** to the event rules it could avoid being blamed, but this is clearly not the case)). Even worse, is when a host blame someone due to their suggestion and make joke of it. That's what happened on World Cup 6. I won't give further details, you can read the main thread and discord to go for the details by yourself. (Resuming: Every suggestion done by me, even being theorically good, don't even get considered. Worse, instead of just rejecting it, Gbwead blame it because was my suggestion)

That's it for now. Sorry from the whole text page, and to do a Miles's picks too outside of the line. But this is something that has to be sayed.
On the Week 1 of World Cup, i will bring Miles's picks #3 for resuming the Groups and the Team Roster.

Why you speak like you ever played any PSL? the only things you did was being a timer during the draft
I assume the first part was for myself saying you wont get money on your tour because you are "anonyme", was just an advice but it seems you are not taking any advice like you suggest to gb

I hope you know people wont ever take you seriously even if you grow up or solve your issue to write all these non sense, and it will make people never consider your opinion even if it might be good. You created for yourself an image of a child who listens to absolutely nothing and who thinks he knows everything about every subject and it will be hard to remove it.

it's the last time i ll spend my time to answer you so gl

We might not need legendaries tbh, just adaptation I guess.

Jellicent with Taunt completely shuts down any Suicune

    Toxicroak is an offensive answer

Gastrodon should be able to deal with it as well

CM Reuniclus is capable of winning the CM war thanks to access to Psyshock/ Stored Power

    Shedinja kappa

    Unaware Clefable

    Empoleon

Hazards (especially toxic spikes), encore, trick

just some things from the top of my head which currently are in the metagame that can help dealing with it. Although I can't disagree, that the implementation of more HAs (Seismitoad for example) and Legendaries (Celebi is the first one that comes to my mind) would make it much easier to handle.

Let's just give it some time, it's not even been a week.

Toxicroak, gastrodon, reuniclus, clefable , shedinja all loose if you change only 1 move from the rest cm sclad sub set and that's a problem that you dont need to change all of your move/ev to win against pokemon that can check it. And even without changing move some lose to pp stall.
Even with time i dont see where Suicune can bring us to a good metagame actually. Maybe i will be wrong and i hope im wrong but atm is it difficult to find a way with what we have to deal with it.

I agree and I think there are a few fundamental problems I've witnessed:

    • The fact that we have an incomplete meta, meaning that when a legendary comes it either sinks into oblivion (Shaymin) or it becomes too strong for the top tier because we don't have other legends and tools to balance it out. If we get legendaries slowly, it'll take a long time for this 'meta' to be complete, but at the same time, how legendaries are being implemented is not cost-efficient for many competitive players and you'll likely need to spend between 10-20m for perfect comps (I think sweet addressed this issue on another thread)
    • The fact that if something is implemented (Sharpness Gallade), a large section of the community complains because it ruins their playstyle (6 wall stall) and teamcores, but when something just as potentially 'broken' drops (Suicune), that same group tells everyone that they're making a fuss and need to adapt
    • People claiming that releasing Regenerator Slowbro/Slowking would be healthy for the metagame in its current state because of its 'offensive' pressure of Future Sight and Teleport when we already see how centralising Amoongus is and we don't have the tools to heavily pressure these regen mons
    • MMO trying to be niche and implementing gen 8/9 mechanics in what was supposed to be a gen 5 metagame, although making room for many opportunities in the PvP scene, also making the meta completely unpredictable and unstable

Things will definitely smoothen out, but these will probably be the common occurrences.

Since our game will drop a lot of new really powerfull things, i think we should release almost every big things at the same time (all complex ban we previously made like sd chomp, dm hydreigon, outrage bp, knock off buff) and then we will be able to receive strong tool to handle them. Huge offensive tool are being nerfed atm so bringing slowtwin/tangrowth regen is just dumb but if we get more offensive tool to handle them it can become fine to drop them (even with that i still think slowtwin are really not good to add xd).

If we do that yes it will be a huge mess in the tier but at least we arent dropping things 1 by 1 and the metagame will be more able to able some legendaries drop.
But yeah i think we wont ever have a unstable metagme until all legendaries will be available and it will probably take a loooot of time before it happen.

Now let me reply to probably one of the few people here that are actually trying to bring valid arguments.

I don't think relying on potential stuff that can come in the future is solid enough to keep a potentially broken Pokémon in the tier. First because we know absolutely knothing about whenever new stuff will come, and second because we also don't know if the new stuff that would come are able to actually hinder Suicune. In other words, it makes no sense to keep a potentially uber Pokémon in OU (If deemed that way) for as long as new stuff are not coming. This will just create an unbalanced metagame that will tryo to unhealthily adapt to something that may or may not just disappear either way. IF Suicune is deemed an issue in the current meta, I'd say get it banned and then re-evaluate it after new stuff comes, IF, that new stuff proves to be solid enough to make Suicune balanced in the future tier.

This is the real problem ! We waited 6 month between Shaymin and Suicune and I dont see how we can deal with it without dropping other legendaries and/or some broken HA.
If we assume we get legendaries at each "major" event we can potentially at the end the year get 2 new legendaries (with entei + raikou that might probably come without new update).

I dont see which combo of legendaries can come into the game and stop suicune without breaking the tier themselve.

  10. Since i'm not a great enjoyer of NU i wanted to wait for some NU tournament to happen before giving my opinion about vaporeon.

This message describe really well Vaporeon and also why it is difficult to deal with vaporeon in NU :

Finally. Thank you to @TierCouncil for opening a discussion thread. As I've said previously on the NU Tier Discussion Thread:

Vaporeon is a really bulky phys wall in both defense and special defense too with only 2 weaknesses which are Electric and Grass. As you can see it has higher HP and Special Defense Stat when compared to Quagsire which is a common Physical Wall in NU. Comparing Vaporeon's situation in NU and UU is very simple. As I said it can only be pressured by Electric and Grass mons which we suffer from a shortage in NU, Unlike UU which has options both offensive and defensive options which can come take A Scald or a Toxic from Vaporeon with the ability of either 1 shotting it or pressuring it to switch out. Examples: Venusaur,Shaymin,Roserade,Jolteon,Rotom-Mow,Empoleon. These are 6 options in UU that can both defensively come take a scald or toxic and put in pressure into Vaporeon. As for NU there is a scarcity in Grass type mons in general as we only have Sceptile, and Ludicolo which isn't utilitized outside of rain. While keeping in mind that these two options don't have a health regen move like Venusaur, Shaymin or Roserade "Synthesis" when coming on a scald switch. Same points of comparison can be made towards the Electric types in NU, basically there aren't many enough and they don't get health regen moves. Yet again they can't get a guranteed exchange when switched against Vaporeon

Physical attacking mons have a difficult time getting through Vaporeon due to its bulk and ability to gain a guranteed x2 Leftovers health regen everytime it comes on the field due to the accessibility of the move Protect.

(All these calc are just information about what can do Vaporeon with the bold set so you are free to interpret them as you want)

Vaporeon can wall almost any physicall threat in NU even more with his acces to protect + wish and can also deal with physical setup with his acces to Haze. Scald pressure enough these physical threat to force them to switch to prevent being burned or getting big damage.

Without getting any spedef investment, Vaporeon still keeps a really great special bulk that can be usefull against some of the special attacker.

Indeed, most of the set of vaporeon are predictable and you will face most of the time the same set with the exception of 1 move but vaporeon does his job really well and combined with great teamate he can become very difficult to take down. Few pokemon can come on the field to pressure it and most of them doesnt get acces to heal (when vapo does).

I would like more imput from NU player about the pokemon and all opinion are welcome !

  11. Gallade with his new ability Sharpness is definitly something strong (probably too strong) in our metagme. He recently got acces to Sharpness + Sacred Sword with the recent gen9 move update. With his great 125 base stats in attack and his great coverage he can setup or hit to bring instantly a great pressure on the opposite team. His lack of speed can be compensated by using scarf to pressure offensive team but he is still faster than most of the wall available in game. Life orb, lum berry and choice band are also great item to use with the movepool he has acces to.
I feel like it's probably too soon to get a pokemon like that in our metagame and can force unhealthy 50/50 or can be centralizing in OU.

  12. Is there any chance we can drop Pz to UU ? empo got roost, gigalith still here, bronzong is already played, faster mon are dropping in the tier to revenge kill it, assault vest is now available, UU got a big amount of strong priority.

Also with the introduction of sinnoh for "spring 2023" will we get another 3 month without movement because of new thing that can come in the game with it ? since i guess we will have a new legendary and a bunch of new HA or even maybe new item who knows
