  1. new update: this beldum I had it upgraded to 3x31 adamant the other day. Some good dittos were on gtl so heck why not 3x31 natured (everstone) + 2x31 (brace) with no overlapping stats is 40% chance of 4x31 natured 60% chance of 3x31 natured first try: 60% procced and it is still 3x31 adamant. second try: 60% procced and it is still 3x31 adamant. the odds were 64% in my favor but rng is fAiR. "yup 28m evaporated just like that." sadge
  2. Ribbons on shinies are an obligation imho, but I failed battle tower like 3 times at 40+ streaks. Tired of npcs freezing u 3 consecutive times, npcs using broken latios and npcs critting u to oblivion? Then DHT Ribbon Shop is what you need! FAST, EFFICIENT, RELIABLE Recommended 10/10 ?
  3. upvoted cuz I once turned off my own trick room
  4. hope my answer here helps
  5. When breeding shiny with a shiny, 2x31 + 2x31 with no overlapping stats is 1/6 chance of 4x31 4/6 chance of 3x31 1/6 chance of 2x31 risky but on average better expected value than overlapping stats. I decided to breed my 2x31 shiny beldum. Used 2x31 ditto. 1/6 procced and my beldum is still 2x31. Scrapped more money and bought another 2x31 ditto. 1/6 procced and my beldum is STILL 2x31. yup 28m evaporated just like that.

  7. I dced like 3 times in a row today then got a 3day temp ban for "client tampering". can't even appeal it cuz it's temporary. Am I supposed to fking know what is wrong with my client? Would reinstalling it fix whatever the problem there is?
  8. When you brace both mons, for the other stats old man tells you that there is 1/12 chance of high roll, 1/12 chance of low roll and 10/12 chance of average. But the real odds are 1/8, 1/8, 6/8 respectively. When you brace one mon and give an everstone to the other, old man shows 1/6, 4/6, 1/6 chances. But the real odds are 1/5, 3/5, 1/5 in this case. Even if the old man showed correct odds, it could be misleading cuz some ppl would think "oh then there is 1/8*1/8=1/64 chance of having high high rolls on two stats" when the two are complement cases. As for other cases the old man prolly shows accurate calculations but giving no item to one or both of the parents is basically unsignificant in most scenarios anyways lol @Munyajust for clarification, the tooltip I am referring to is not the breeding UI itself but the probabilities information we get when we hover over the stats.
  9. Old man never gives an accurate spread of probabilities so just might as well delete the feature lol It would just be better to have a separate dialogue or window explaining the breeding mechanics.
  10. any female mon of your ot will have an offspring of your ot. if you have a male ot mon, you can breed it with a female non-ot mon of the same evolution line species or a shiny ditto and get an offspring of your ot. as for breeding, there are 6 possible combinations when bracing both parents and 10 possible combinations when bracing one parent and giving an everstone to the other. 1. say I brace hp on one mon and speed on the other mon. then out of the remaining 4 atk, def, sp.atk, sp.def, 2 stats will be directly inherited and the remaining 2 will be averaged. directly inherited stats 6 possible combinations: atk def atk sp.atk atk sp.def def sp.atk def sp.def sp.atk sp.def the directly inherited stat will always be the higher value of the parents hence no low rolls are possible. example: if i breed 0/1/2/3/4/5 and 26/27/28/29/30/31 bracing the 0 hp and 31 speed, outcome: HP:0 / A:27 / D :28 / SA:16 / SD:17 / S:31 HP:0 / A:27 / D :15 / SA:29 / SD:17 / S:31 HP:0 / A:27 / D :15 / SA:16 / SD:30 / S:31 HP:0 / A:14 / D :28 / SA:29 / SD:17 / S:31 HP:0 / A:14 / D :28 / SA:16 / SD:30 / S:31 HP:0 / A:14 / D :15 / SA:29 / SD:30 / S:31 2. say I brace the speed on one mon and give an everstone to the other. then out of the remaining 5 hp, atk, def, sp.atk, sp.def, 3 stats will be directly inherited and the remaining 2 will be averaged. directly inherited stats 10 possible combinations: def sp.atk sp.def atk sp.atk sp.def atk def sp.def atk def sp.atk hp sp.atk sp.def hp def sp.def hp def sp.atk hp atk sp.def hp atk sp.atk hp atk def example: above 0/1/2/3/4/5 everstone and 26/27/28/29/30/31 braced on the 31, outcome: HP:13 / A:14 / D :28 / SA:29 / SD:30 / S:31 HP:13 / A:27 / D :15 / SA:29 / SD:30 / S:31 HP:13 / A:27 / D :28 / SA:16 / SD:30 / S:31 HP:13 / A:27 / D :28 / SA:29 / SD:17 / S:31 HP:26 / A:14 / D :15 / SA:29 / SD:30 / S:31 HP:26 / A:14 / D :28 / SA:16 / SD:30 / S:31 HP:26 / A:14 / D :28 / SA:29 / SD:17 / S:31 HP:26 / A:27 / D :15 / SA:16 / SD:30 / S:31 HP:26 / A:27 / D :15 / SA:29 / SD:17 / S:31 HP:26 / A:27 / D :28 / SA:16 / SD:17 / S:31 the difference with normal breeding is that shiny breeding allows you to play "safe" gambles. for example, breeding a 3x31 with 2x31 natured will always be 3x31 natured for normal breeding, but the odds for shiny breeding are 40% 4x31 natured 60% 3x31 natured if you choose the ivs carefully.
  11. quote from bulbapedia: If (and only if) a move is boosted by the effect of Sheer Force, several effects that normally happen after attacking will be skipped. This includes the effects of Eject Button, Red Card, Shell Bell, Kee Berry, and Maranga Berry; the recoil damage from Life Orb; the Abilities Color Change, Pickpocket, Wimp Out, Emergency Exit, and Berserk; as well as Meloetta's opportunity to switch forms if it acquires Sheer Force and uses Relic Song. Other effects are not negated this way; therefore, if a Pokémon with Sheer Force holding a Life Orb uses a move boosted by Sheer Force, it will gain the passive damage boost (because it isn't a secondary effect of the move nor is it on the list of skipped effects), but the Pokémon will not be damaged by the Life Orb.
  12. SD Garchomp, 120 BP Outrage, infinite turn shadow tag etc should be brought back to doubles too imo. Doubles balancing should be separate from singles, and I think any possible set should be given a chance to be evaluated whether it's healthy for the meta or not BEFORE getting simply outright banned cuz :thonk: singles op.

  15. So I've been tinkering around with the normal breeding calculator. It is coherent with my own interpretation + calculation of how breeding works. The thing is, I just noticed that the probabilities the old man shows when we hover over the ivs disagree with the calculations. Case 1. When both mons are braced, the non-braced stats have 1/8 chance of low roll, 1/8 chance of high roll and 6/8 chance of average. But the game shows the chances as 1/12, 10/12, 1/12 respectively which seemed to come out of nowhere. Case 2. When one mon is braced and the other isn't, the non-braced stats have 1/5, 3/5, 1/5 chance of each respective rolls. The game shows it as 1/6, 4/6, 1/6. Case 3. When neither mon is braced, the stats have 1/4, 2/4, 1/4 chance of each respective rolls and the game also shows these chances. Since case 3 basically is meaningless when breeding comps, I think there needs to be some clarification on the discrepancies of the chances expected and chances written in-game. Can some dev elaborate on this? Is it a tooltip error or is it a misinterpretation of the breeding mechanics?
