  1. 13100 encounters, finally a shiny damp mon...not sure if I want it to go Toed or Wrath... EDIT: Went Toed
  2. I remember some mod quoted that statuses increase catch rate by a fixed amount of 12%.
  3. Some guy posted a shiny Dratini that ran away on the subreddit for this game... If you have your Safari exclusives all caught OT I don't think there's any good reason to go in there ever again. I don't get it.
  4. So in reality he's simultaneously wasting a repel and not activating his Starmie's illuminate? So he coincidentally got really lucky with a single encounter shiny while believing he was actively avoiding that?
  5. I'm a little confused. Can somebody tell me how he encountered this shiny as a single encounter with a repel up? He's basically actively trying to AVOID this kinda thing.
  6. Like I said, can we get back on topic with solutions rather than bashing staff? Regardless of how I feel on the matter the goal of this post is to be constructive whereas the other one was locked for dogpiling staff whenever they chimed in.
  7. 8th OT was hunting it for a shiny to deal with Take Down/Final Gambit 7.4k encounters
  8. To avoid this thread becoming another dogpile that gets locked by staff I'd like to propose that we keep this on-topic. Thoughts on the proposed solution in the original post or other solutions that you think might work should be the focus here.
  9. Yes, but as I stated the notification pops up when you attempt to list/purchase something for much more/less than that item is currently being sold for by others. For example, by adding or forgetting a 0.
  10. So I saw the thread. Regardless of how I personally feel on the matter, I'd like to offer something constructive that may be taken into consideration to prevent these issues from occurring in the future. I play a game called Escape from Tarkov, there is a "Flea Market" that functions very similarly to the GTL in PokeMMO. In this market, if a player decides to list an item for sale at a much LOWER price than its comparables/buy an item at a much HIGHER price than its comparables they are met with a pop-up, clear as day, in the middle of their screen with a notice that reads something along the lines of "you are about to purchase/sell an item at a much lower/higher value than what is currently listed, are you sure?" Implementing something like this would allow buyers/sellers the protection against potentially making a bad sale/purchase and would also eliminate the burden from the person who under/overvalued an item by warning the other party and requiring their consent to continue with the transaction. I understand for Pokemon specifically this would likely be difficult to code, given the differing values of Pokemon based on IVs/EVs/shiny/particles/egg moves/nature/gender etc. But, it's just something I thought I'd present since it works in another game rather well. My 2 cents.
  11. And you used this to get high enough winstreaks that you'd be able to register some of the legendaries?
  12. Starmie. Thunderbolt/Ice Beam/Surf/Psychic. Ability doesn't matter, IVs don't matter, EVs don't matter, nature doesn't matter. Breed a new one before you start each region and train it up to level 20. Thunderbolt and Ice Beam are egg moves so you only need to buy them once. Congratulations, you just beat everybody.
  13. Mostly for the purpose of registering some of the legendaries as seen.
  14. I haven't seen anybody mention ocarinas so I'd suggest buying those if you don't already have.
  15. Well then I guess keep failing dude, cus it seems like your method is really working out for you huh.
  16. I gave you a solution and you say it's too hard to level and give moves to one Pokemon that will make your playthrough a piece of cake. Rather you would prefer to triple post complaining in caps lock on your own thread. Good luck dude...
  17. Ooh that's something I hadn't thought of. So that could deal with Take Down, I'm not in front of my game right now so does it get any sleep or False Swipe-esque moves? Also does this work against Final Gambit or is that a no?
  18. I guess that would work with an Imprison/Take Down/Final Gambit/False Swipe moveset. Maybe I'll shiny hunt one for that purpose. A bit of a shame though...I thought the answer would be a Ghost type that I could shunt for. I find them a bit more colorful that a slightly yellower Smeargle with a red paint dip.
  19. Well being Ghost type is pretty much the bare minimum for what I'm looking to do. I need to not be hit by Take Down or Final Gambit suicides.
