I can't remember if I liked Children Who Chase Lost Voices or if I just didn't get to finish it for some reason... also Wolf Children is amazing. I didn't think I would like it as much as I did, I'm not really a kid person. It was really fun watching the kids grow up though, and seeing the paths they each took.

I knew exactly what you were talking about haha. If you're looking for somethig as visually beautiful, but with a better plot (imo) watch 5 centimeters per second. Garden of Words is amazing as well, and Voices of a Distant Star is a must watch too. Your Name doesn't have proper subs yet (afaik), but I'm really looking forward to it.

No, placing the Breloom over your entry does not mean it solely took more skill. JUST STOP. Your post is beyond rude (see: "artwork at that level of skill since I was 12"). I highly doubt the Breloom artist was expecting all of this backlash over a very innocent submission to a contest. Find a way to move on from how it made you feel, stop posting about it, and let people feel as though they can submit art with a chance of doing well and not getting this level of negative attention. I really didn't want to keep posting about this, but I felt I could not ignore how shockingly rude and self centred your post is.

It's not that people are triggered by joke art (don't read as "bad"). It's an old joke and it's always the same people laughing is all. Oh god. Can we not go on about someone else winning last time? Rachel is one of the best artists here and before she was staff she didn't win every contest either - despite spending hours and hours and hours on every piece she made. She was pretty graceful about it I'll add. let's just enjoy the art and get on with it.

I mentioned how old the joke was months ago. It never dies. Ive said this before too, but why the fuck do people spoiler their art? This is an art contest. We're here to see your art. Stop it.

Anyone watching Girlish Number? it's pretty cute! I recommend it to anyone who has watched New Game and liked it. Also Stray Dogs is amazing. If you haven't watched it I recommend watching the first cour and then getting caught up with the season right now.

I've seen you post over and over in the contest threads with your submission status, basically blogging your creativity and thought "this guy is either really friendly and wants to share the process or just full of himself and waiting to be pat on the back". It seems to be the latter. Priceless. I'm sure you're a half decent person but you're not selling your case with letting us know you're a 26 year old entitled professional. By the way do you get paid for the 2 weeks it takes you to create anything? Don't professionals work on the clock? Honorable mention was added to art contests on this forum because there are too many good entries and the judges want to showcase them. To be fairly blunt there is absolutely no need for art contest judging to take so long. I'm happy to see so many art contests going on lately though! Can the next type be a good one? Fairy? :) Congratz to the winners. EDIT: Also please get over yourselves if you're complaining about not placing where you wanted to. It's really distasteful.
