1 out of 108 Ain't Bad By: Alysstrasza (@Kiralexis) As she stood in the purification circle, Alyss couldn't help but wonder why her Spiritomb wouldn't follow her in. Whatever magic was in this circle, it relaxed her muscles and made her lower her defense- maybe Spiritomb knew that feeling and didn't like it? Regardless of the reason, she pressed onward. They were here for one purpose only: to study Ghost-type pokemon, as requested by the Neo-Enix Research Department, which she had been assigned to recently. Enix as a whole had been more than welcoming to her, but she felt a desire for something more, and applied to a few different sub-teams within Enix; NERD had responded the same day, as eager to accept her as she was to help them out, she was given a task that same day: researching Ghost pokemon and their habitat. Though she wasn't given any other particular mission, she remembered from the Job Description when she had applied that they liked initative in regards to their research information, so Alyss took it upon herself to give her research more oomph: why do certain Ghost-type Pokemon stay in some locations, but not others? Her Spiritomb had been an ally of hers for a few months now, ever since she caught him just South of Solaceon Town. Her Pokedex explained how Spiritomb was actually the combination of 108 different souls trapped inside the same Pokemon. A perfect test subject, she figured, so she decided to cart him around to all sorts of different locations where Ghost-type pokemon could be found. Lavender Town, in Kanto, was where she had decided to start. Everything was going smoothly, with Spiritomb not minding any of the atmosphere or other Ghost-type Pokemon of Pokemon Tower, until she reached the Purification Circle on the Fifth Floor, where she found the first oddity. Her Spiritomb would, under no condition, follow her into the circle. Alyss, and her Spiritomb, explored the rest of the Tower, but she found no other instances of weird behavior, so she noted it down and moved on. Alyss found her next objective in Mt. Pyre of the Hoenn Region, and brought Spiritomb along with her. She noted the Pokemon types that she encountered, as well as noticing that her Spiritomb seemed to linger behind her, as if reading the Grave Stones this time. This behavior was new, and distracted Alyss from recording the rest of the Ghost-type Pokemon that she encountered, instead observing exclusively her Spiritomb, who was spending longer and longer observing each grave stone. As an astute observer, Alyss couldn't help but wonder what exactly was making her Spiritomb act like this, so she started to also write down the names of each Gravestone that Spiritomb focused on, which was roughly every third name. Eventually, the two of them reached the top floor of Mt. Pyre, where there was a single Gravestone of a different stone entirely. Spiritomb rushed over to this Grave, and Alyss followed, but then they seemed to lose interest and turned to face Alyss as if they hadn't just spent an hour reading names. With no other choice but to move on, Alyss wrote down the name of the marble Gravestone as well as all the others around, and started walking towards a hole in the ground that she notice. She fell down and hurt her butt, and Spiritomb followed after her happily. Realizing her research here was done, she headed towards the Unova Region next, remembering that the Old Chateau in the Sinnoh Region was always being studied anyway by someone nicknamed 'the Professor', whoever that was. It took her a week to figure out where she was even headed, but eventually she found the Celestial Tower north of Mistralton, which was exactly what she was looking for. Inside the Celestial Tower, Alyss returned to writing down every Pokemon she encountered for her notes, and continued observing Spiritomb's behavior. She found that her Pokemon was not acting weird here, but was instead staying very close to her. Eventually, Alyss and Spiritomb climbed to the top of the Celestial Tower, where they found the Mourning Bell. Spiritomb rushed up towards the bell, then turned to look at Alyss as if asking the object's purpose. Alyss explained what it was for, and how people could use the ringing of the bell to help with their grief of losing a Pokemon. Spiritomb turned towards the bell once more, staring at it intensely. Alyss walked up towards it, watching Spiritomb and the bell at the same time. She wondered once again why he had been staring at all of the graves at Mt. Pyre, and what exactly her Spiritomb was looking for. Was one of the 108 souls inside of them still grieving for itself? She remembered how, in her youth, her father had given her a Charmander for her 9th Birthday, but an unfortunate boating accident en route to Sinnoh... it was a painful memory, and not one she enjoyed lingering on. She rang the bell, letting the object serve its purpose and help her get over her grief. Her Spiritomb brushed against her leg, as if hugging her and thanking her for it. This was also new behavior for her Pokemon, so she wrote it down in her notebook quickly, then hugged the Spiritomb back. While she had her arms wrapped around the Keystone Pokemon, she heard faintly, as if very far away, a distinct cry that she could never possibly forget. "Char!" Alyss was overwhelmed with emotion for a brief moment and held Spiritomb even tighter. The cry was not heard again, but Alyss was sure she hadn't heard it in the physical world. Where ever that cry had come from, Alyss was the only person in the world who heard it. Regardless, she'd completely forgotten what her original research task was, and began to write about her Spiritomb and their crazy antics at Pokemon Tower, Mt. Pyre, and Celestial Tower. It makes me wonder why these features are even implemented in the game. If they're not actually serving a purpose, why have they been here since Generation 1? Did the formulas change over the years, or is it a PokeMMO thing? Please elaborate on your data points and where it was gathered from. Also, at the start, you assume the player has infinite Pokeballs. What if the player has exactly 1 Safari Ball left? What should they do then, if they've only got the 1 shot?

When she was 7 years old, Elizabeth was given a Swablu by her father. When she was 11 years old, she started to train the Swablu and grow its strength. Big thanks to everyone who showed up! This was a fun first event for me to run! We had some big names at the start, but by the end Kuramush came through with a sweep, never losing a match. That final game was definitely super close! I can't wait for the next tournament >:)

IGN: Kiralexis (Story is in Third Person) As the early rays of sunlight crept into the room, her eyes slowly began to open. She'd gotten used to living without an alarm clock, as her Kangaskhan usually woke her up before too much longer. Even now, as she glanced over to where her Pokémon slept, she saw Kangaskhan beginning to stir. Realizing that sleepy time was over, Alyss moved her covers and got out of bed. She was immediately greeted by Hypno, holding a cup of coffee out for her. Hypno never slept, which meant there was always someone watching the house, allowing Alyss to sleep much easier at night. The only part that confused her about it was how he always managed to get into the bedroom without waking her up. Kangaskhan woke up right as Alyss took her first sip and left the room. First thing in the morning was when the most 'creative juice' was flowing, Alyss believed, so the first thing she always did in the morning was sit down at her desk and begin to draw. She poked the blue blob sitting next to her, waking up her favorite companion for this event. Ditto's eyes opened slowly as they realized it was time to draw again, and excitedly began to quiver. "What are we going to draw today, Ditto?" "Ditto!" They hopped off the desk and transformed into Alyss herself. "We're drawing me again?" She said with a smile, glancing over at the notebook on the desk. "Ditto!" They changed slightly, modifying Alyss' outfit to be a frilly dress with ribbons on it. Alyss' eyes lit up and she immediately got to work on the drawing, with Ditto modeling for her. "Not many people get to use themselves as a model for a sketch... not like this, anyway." Hypno came by to give Ditto a glass of water, while Kangaskhan peeked over Alyss' shoulder to look at the Drawing, with her baby excitedly pulling on Alyss' sleeve to see too. With a laugh, Alyss shifted herself so all the Pokémon could see her drawing in progress. She'd been at this morning routine for a few months now, almost a whole year, and could definitely see the improvements she'd made. Every few weeks she considered going out to find a Smeargle, but figured that'd be seen as a lazy way out, and instead relied on her own skill to grow, and her companions to both keep her company and model for her. Hypno left to go make breakfast for the team, and Kanga joined him after a short pause, leaving Alyss and Ditto alone to draw until breakfast was ready. She only ever had the three Pokémon with her, as she wasn't much of the Battler type, and rarely left her house, so there was little reason to get more Pokemon than she needed, and her companions had definitely been good companions all throughout her life. Some people worry about not knowing what 'the good old days' are while they're living them; Alyss, on the other hand, had no concern over that. These, right here, are her good old days.

Shiny Nincada becomes Shiny Ninjask. Shedinja is an entirely separate pokemon with it's own 1/30k check. Given how you acquire Shedinja, you can see why this is a pain, and why very few if any shiny shedinjas exist in PokeMMO.

IGN: Kiralexis Tier: OU PokePaste of Team: https://pokepast.es/eaf989dcadd2cea7 Weavile up first since they're the required crux of the team. I tried to capitalize on their high speed and attack stats, giving them a Jolly Nature and a Focus Sash to try and make sure she kills whoever she was sent to kill. If she's faster, I can safely Swords Dance most of the time due to the Focus Sash, and worst case scenario I've got the Ice Shard Priority move to help out. Ice Punch and Night Slash are there for coverage and a stronger Ice Stab when I am faster. Sigilyph is here as our big counter to Weavile's biggest weakness, Fighting pokemon. As a psychic/flying, Sigilyph has double resistance to Weavile's biggest weakness, and with their high speed and timid nature I should be able to switch in on a fighting pokemon and mess them up, or whoever they send out back. If Stealth Rocks is already up, I can also Whirlwind with Sigilyph for some stalling annoyance. Gastrodon is a beast, and is my answer to both Electric and Water type moves with their ability and typing. Scald and Ice Beam serve as the only primary damage moves, with Recover and Toxic rounding it out. A calm nature and Special Defense EVs let Gastrodon be a small special wall, too, and we all know how Kupo loves stalls. Forretress is a great set up pokemon in my opinion, and with Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock he's here to annoy everyone on the enemy team. Rapid Spin will clear out my side if necessary, with Gyro Ball being his only damaging move. Leftovers feel like a given, and he's a good physical wall as well, which is a weakness I otherwise had fairly strongly. Rotom(Heat) is here for coverage and to be another special cannon, with three of his moves offering big damage to the enemy and Volt Switch for a good old-fashioned switcheroo. I know I can change Hidden Power in PokeMMO to be whatever I want, but Showdown doesn't agree >.> so his IVs are a little sporadic, but he's the only one. Blissey finalizes the team as the best special wall in the game, with what I believe to be a very standard kit for her, including a secondary stealth rock since I have a semi weakness to Fire and Volcarona. ... I hope I did everything right. ?
