    Whats happening?

What is meant to happen when you catch the ship for the first time is that your "Kanto or Hoenn Mum" meets you at the Vermilion/Slateport dock and you are then taken to the starter town to begin the storyline. OP, this obviously hasn't happened in your case so I will ask a bug mod to take a look at this thread and see if there is something amiss.
  7. Here, bookmark this. I use it all the time and it's really helpful for a forgetful person like me. x3
  8. Yagami, I love it~ The story really adds to it!
  9. First Spring Championship qualifier this weekend! Who will take the first invite?

  10. UU usage from the last tournament. Will most likely make a new thread to keep UU usage separate this weekend. Thanks again to DrCraig for working excel magic or whatever it was that made it work. \o/
  11. I will start making the bracket prior to the tournament (but wont add the participants obviously) and post it in the OP when I post the events. Yell at me if I forget o/
  12. This is awesome, you are very talented. ^_^

    Help with roms

You need the Emerald v1.0 USA rom in your rom folders to be able to access Hoenn.
  14. Moved registration to Monday 30th March so that it doesn't clash with the UU Tournament running at that time.
  15. Opinions on 64 man tournaments seem divided at the moment, some really want them and others really don't from conversations I have had in game. I am hosting one later in the month to see what everyone thinks of it because we haven't had one in a while (link here: https://forums.pokemmo.eu/index.php?/topic/51973-uu-showdown-sunday-29th-march/).If I get a nice turnout and everyone seems to enjoy it I would not be against hosting more or maybe even make it a regular thing like my Oceanic, who knows. Unfortunately as much as I would love to let everyone who wants to play in my tournaments, time plays a big factor preventing me. On top of that, what if 100 people signed up? I know the likelihood of this is low but it is still something we need to consider. Some of you also currently seem to want time clause abolished too and that just wouldn't work out if we had huge unlimited brackets on top of that. To summarise, I am personally not a fan of having no cap on participants but I can host more 64 man tournaments if there is desire for them and providing the one on the 29th goes well.
  16. This could be a good area to focus discussion on I think, how could an extension system work? Currently we do give out extensions on some matches that hit 45 minutes if the referee feels that the battle will end soon. What are opinions of this?
  17. Updated best I could. Thank you to all that reported swarms- I have credited you. I appreciate the time everyone takes to spot the little mistakes here and there.
  18. Some good discussion here, I hope to see some more voiced opinions from other players too. I just want to ask though, there have been matches that have or have had the potential to go on for over 2 hours. If this was to happen in the first/second/third round it could hold up the bracket for other players and prolong the tournament. Tournaments go on for roughly 3-4 hours, so if we were to do away with time clause there could be a huge amount of time added to tournament lengths. Is that something that would bother people? I know a lot of Europeans have to stay up until 3-5am when they do tournaments so this could be a potential issue for them. On the other hand I respect the fact that a stall team is a legitimate strategy (albeit not a popular one) and I see that people may feel it is unfair to be punished for adopting that strategy. It can also be unfair for the other opponent that hasn't actually brought a stall team and is DQ'd alongside them (although this is something separate to getting rid of time clause altogether.) The above is just my own opinion and thoughts on the matter so far.
  19. I don't think Chansey should have an increased encounter rate, even if only for donators. Each wild Chansey has a chance of holding a Lucky Egg, whilst this item has considerably dropped in value they are still worth upwards of 200k each. Another issue I see with this suggestion is, just because a Pokemon is rare it does not mean that it is very popular. An example of this is Chimecho, it has a very low encounter rate but yet it isn't particularly viable in the higher tiers. This makes it quite undesirable to a lot of players despite it's rarity, however NU players would benefit from it's increased encounter rate. The only time increased encounter rates would be of great purpose to a player would be when they are mass catching Pokemon for breeding or maybe even just to find a competitive one. This would put Donators at a higher advantage to normal players making it a bit "pay to win", which some people may see as a con. Anyway, just a few potential issues I see with the suggestion that I thought I would share. It might be an idea to go into a bit more detail about your suggestion in the opening post and maybe even add a list of pros and cons.
  20. I brought a graphics tablet today (I cant draw but I have fun trying) and I will draw up something. Not an entry obviously but if others see my atrocious drawing it might inspire them to actually submit good ones. :)
