I see...yeah I agree replacement would be a downgrade and adding it wouldn't add much... interested to see how you'll handle that route next to new bark town and the pokemon league since its in the same spot as kanto's...in that case it'll probably be more of a reimagining of Johto then just adding the region.

So when I saw that Johto region was coming I got excited...but then I started to think about it....There was an older Kanto in those games...how are they going to implement those when Kanto is already there? And what of the slightly different gym leaders like blue and the one in fushia city(forgot the name)? And what about the destroyed cinnabar island? Of course they could just omit that Kanto entirely and just add on new bark town to the left of that route from the original...but that route was slightly different from kanto's as well...one Idea I thought of was using celebi's time travel powers to travel between the two periods but dunno if that might overload the server...also how would the level scaling work in that case?..Am I missing anything?

I did that but not every trainer you can rematch and I'm not running all over the region just to find rematch able trainers unless I know exactly which ones...which the pokenav would tell you...I didn't need to do that in Kanto cause !! Marks so no...makes no sense...also do you guys know how to pay attention? I said I'm on the android version...if the option is exclusive to the PC or Mac version then just say so...that would have satisfied this question a while ago. If I have to read the guide to know which ones fine whatever..

Oh I see...so the bunch of texts that mention it in the game are meaningless then?...cool...also I read that guide already I just wanted to know what happened to that feature..because in hoenn not every trainer you can rebattle...So how would you know which ones...I know that guide you mentioned has them...but I didn't need that for Kanto cause they had exclamation marks above their heads...but alright..Also I have no issue with the map...I can use it just fine...it's just the call was how you knew that the NPCs were even ready for a rematch...

Hey so I remembered that gen 3 had the pokenav thing that allowed to to check if trainers wanted to rebattle and it is mentioned in hoenn and Its registering people but I'm not finding it anywhere, not the key items, not the menu but i'm seeing that people are using it so how can I access match call? I'm using the android version..does it only show up on the pc version or something or was the feature removed?

Greetings devs and fellow players how do you do?...I'm new to this game but not new to pokemon itself...I've played pretty much every gen since 1 on the Gameboy...the only main line games I haven't played yet are the let's go games and BDSP a.k.a the gen 4 remakes....I didn't grow up surrounded by friends who played the same games I did so I have little to no pvp or trading experience...I am aware of EVs and IVs though...As such I have no idea what my experience with the trading system will be but i guess we'll see...I had an interest in this game and another fan game because I always liked having multiple regions in one game....it's one of the reasons gen 2 is my favorite...HG and SS solidifying that even more...though I misunderstood something here...judging from the outset I assumed this was from gen 1-5, but as I started playing and read things on the forum...I realized that this is not the case...and that Johto is coming soon...a little disappointed but I'm curious as to what additions will accompany/follow it given the fan-made nature of this game.

My bad...I just realized it's because of one of the roms I loaded...it had the trade evolutions patched

I noticed something confusing about the Pokedex in this game. When I first looked at it, the evolution tree for what I originally knew as trade evolutions like Kadabra, showed as level up instead of, trade. So I figured okay...I'll try out Alakazam then...for Kadabra it said level up to 37...but when I reached level 38 I noticed he wasn't evolving so I started to wonder what was going on...leading to me coming on the forum and looking around, only to find out the apparently the devs wanted to keep it close to the originals as possible so they didn't change the trade revolution methods...so then why does the Pokedex say level up on the evolution trees of the trade evolutions instead of trade? If they never changed it, why is it different there to begin with?
