  1. Levitate Gengar was never broken, in fact many are concerned Cursed Body is more detrimental to competitive play. Regardless, this was an update to the modern meta which as most know, is the aim of the development team. Levitate won't be coming back.
  2. Impish Golbat outspeeds Torterra and only takes 30% from Adamant Life Orb Smack Down on the switch, delivering a deadly 77% damage with Brave Bird or 30% with U-Turn. +2 Adamant Life Orb Smack Down is only 57% top damage, so Golbat still gets to hit it. Golbat is a legend and Torterra would be better served with Stone Edge to check it. You wouldn't understand though.
  3. I did give a pretty good heads up a couple weeks ago... but anyhow. Viva la BYE MEDICHAM
  4. Mass x Acceleration = Gallade MC^2 = Sharpness Gallade x Sharpness = Force Γ— Energy = 🐐
  5. Dragon Claw to BP 95 Rock Slide to 100% Accuracy Focus Blast to 90% Accuracy Signal Beam to BP 90 All recovery moves to 5 pp max. Ez.
  6. Gallade changes came from the man. So long as we have a way to calc it and it's not broke, then that's fine. We (TC) will be keeping a close watch, but a strong Psychic+Fighting type can bring a lot of good so long as it's not broke.
  7. I thought he was gonna be that it should be lower. I think catching a shiny should be near impossible for these mons. I loved seeing Suicune going for a billion or more. Really shakes up the whales that hold all the cash.
  8. Venomoth has been quick banned by the TC and will not drop to NU with the upcoming tier changes. Medicham failed a quick ban and will drop with the upcoming changes. It is still eligible for the standard ban process and will be watched closely.
  9. This Quick Ban vote has come to a conclusion. In a unanimous 5-0 decision by the Tier Council, Venomoth has been quick banned from the NU tier and will be added to the BL2 list. @Munya you may now close this thread, ty.
  10. The quick ban vote for Medicham has failed, as there was not a unanimous decision to ban it. Medicham will be introduced to NU with the upcoming tier changes and will be watched closely by the TC. We will announce when a vote opens for a standard ban and the results of that when finalized.
  11. It's an old policy, we are just historically bad at staying organized as community volunteers. I'll try to keep up with policy requirements when these big changes hit.
  12. A Quick Ban vote has been initiated. As a reminder, there needs to be a unanimous vote to quick ban a Pokemon per TC Policy. If there is not a unanimous vote, then this Pokemon will be added to the tier and we will reassess for a standard ban which requires at least 1 week evaluation and a 2/3 majority vote to pass.

  14. Very true. No good Scarf users in NU is a problem! Unfeazant when?!
  15. Adamant, Jolly.... Quiet or Naive... it doesn't matter... is Medicham broken?!
  16. What is this? This is a discussion thread for the community to share their opinion of Medicham's presence in the PokeMMO NeverUsed tier. Comments and opinions will be reviewed by the Tier Council as they assess whether they should proceed with a standard ban, or even a quick ban, to remove Medicham. What to know? Medicham is really, really strong and NeverUsed has very few walls that can reliably check it. It's unique typing is both an asset offensively (Psychic+Fighting physical offense is incredible) and defensively (weaknesses to only Ghost and Flying). It succeeds most effectively as a wallbreaker, but can also sweep with Bulk Up or Choice Scarf if the conditions are right. The absence of a Dark/Ghost-type in NU is also a very real problem, meaning the entire tier not named Slowbro/Slowking is susceptible to one (or both) of its two STABs. It can cover the entire meta with its access to the elemental punches and it is only really held back by its frailty and minimal speed. And as you can see in the calcs below, with simple prediction it can easily 2HKO every wall in NU with the help of Stealth Rocks. Noteworthy sets? 4-Attack Wall Breaker (Life Orb) - Close Combat/High Jump Kick - Zen Headbutt/Psycho Cut - Ice Punch - Thunderpunch/Bullet Punch TrickScarf (Choice Scarf) - Close Combat/High Jump Kick - Zen Headbutt/Psycho Cut - Ice Punch - Trick Bulk Up Sweeper (Leftovers) - Bulk Up - Drain Punch - Zen Headbutt/Psycho Cut/Ice Punch - Bullet Punch Noteworthy calcs? Please discuss.
  17. What is this? This is a discussion thread for the community to share their opinion of Venomoth's presence in the PokeMMO NeverUsed tier. Comments and opinions will be reviewed by the Tier Council as they assess whether they should proceed with a standard ban, or even a quick ban, to remove Medicham. What to know? Venomoth is an outstanding set-up sweeper and is readily at the top of the food chain in the NU tier. It's only real checks are Gigalith and Golbat, which are fortunately in the tier at the moment. Everything else is set-up bait or fodder. With Tinted Lens it only needs Bug Buzz to hit everything (except Golbat) for at least neutral damage, opening up its movepool to wreak havoc with any combination of incredible support moves. One Quiver Dance lets it outspeed the entire tier, as the Ninjask now moves up to UU and the tier really lacks a quality Choice Scarf user (Tauros?!). After setting up, you better be carrying priority, or hope it's not behind a Substitute and ready to either Disable or Sleep your check. Fortunately, Golbat carries Infiltrator to get through the sub and Gigalith can Rock Blast right on through (fear the Psychic or Giga Drain coverage sets). Noteworthy Sets? Quiver Dance to the Beat (Life Orb or Black Sludge) - Quiver Dance - Bug Buzz - Substitute/Psychic/Giga Drain - Sleep Powder/Disable Noteworthy Calcs? It's an offensive juggernaut and beyond Gigalith and Golbat, there isn't much that can stand up to it. The real money is in what Pokemon can actually stop it after setting up. See below. Please discuss.
  18. Don't mind me, just watching the value of my Shiny Tyranitar drop drastically.... #stonks
