  2. From our discord announcements: "Hey everyone, most of you may have already noticed that we lack the new items. They are being recorded and are accessible only via the Discord Bot atm. We are basically waiting for a 3rd party to update his private dataset of PokeMMO items. Because of this and the fact that we are lacking the time and resources to add most of the ideas you propose. We want to open up the source of the website to the public so everyone can contribute to it. We will also create our own dataset for items, pokemon and more that can be used on the website but also is open for other people to use. We never started an opensource project and may lack the knowledge. But here is our small roadmap and some info for people who are interested. Info: There will be 2 new repositories: Pokemmo-data: This repo will include, as mentioned above, all static data and images about pokemmo. After game updates people can open pull request with additions and changes. Pokemmohub: This repo will be the actual website source code. The code in this website is not live and will be synced with the live repo if its stable. Roadmap: Create pokemmo-data repo, define layout, put sample data and make it public Create pokemmohub repo, write a guide on how to setup your workspace, update website to use pokemmo-data repo instead of 3rd party data (this will take most of the time) The Website is written in JS using React, Gatsby, FireBase aswell as GraphQL. Expect the data repo to go live in a few days. The pokemmohub repo will need some time tho so maybe 1-2 weeks if im fast enough." Vouch for Hagene's services, I tried doing the ribbons myself but it proved to be very confusing and difficult, with this in mind Hagene's prices are very reasonable and they kept me updated through-out the process. It also took quicker than I expected. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting ribbons on their favourite mons

  7. I approach this topic prudently because there's obvious benefits to a third party developer's interests in getting an API, and the end product can be useful to players as well. However, there's a reason why API hasn't been provided to the public after all these years, and only the devs have the answer to that. I trust that they've given careful thought to why they haven't yet. It could just be that it hasn't been of any significant interest or priority to them, as there's always been something else to work on. In which case I hope this thread can spark interest in them considering this suggestion. I hope PokeMMOHub shows the potential of an API being used for good. But I can also understand the skepticism of releasing a detailed public API, as it can pose risk to the health of PokeMMO due to bots and malicious programs being able to utilise this information in real time. You have listed very good suggestions and examples of what API can be added, and I am interested on what the devs think of these, if they want to chime in.
  8. Oh... yep. That seems to be the issue then. Need to update dex numbers with the PokeMMO dex, not the vanilla pokemon ones. Thanks for that insight! I understand more on why you prefer to have catch number displayed. I'll consider displaying it if I can, thanks
  9. Thanks! We have pokemon catch rate numbers, but just wondering what use does that have to the user? The number seems kind of arbitrary, going over 200 for example. Is it a well known measurement for catching difficulty? Cuz ive never seen it before using the pokedex data. If this is the case, I think the percentage probabilities are all thats needed Location filtering is just a unova issue atm, due to pokemmo adding custom non-unova pokemon to the unova dex, so we will try to get that fixed soon.

  11. Of course we would like volume too but we have no access to information about what sells, we can only see what has been listed. Like you said it would require testing, however we can source info from guides and videos already out there, but we wouldnt truthfully know which is the best to display on the website. It would kind of be great if we could extend our dev team in this aspect, not sure yet. Yea, the problem with these things is that these comps are constantly changing, especially in pvp. Our website is designed to be dynamic, and if something is static then it wont change for extended periods of times. To always check and update out of date info is something we want to avoid. But like I said im seriously considering all these suggestions and ill add the ones I find appropriate at the time Yea thats a good idea, there are many resources on this as well I appreciate all the thoughts and suggestions. Posts like these make me motivated to develop again, so I appreciate that. PokeMMO Hub still has so much room to grow and you have emphasised that ❤️
