  9. and then i crashed because archetypes UI is different smh (thats my hydreigon)
  10. yesterday saw them change the set to nasty plot, shadow bal, toxic spikes, and didn't show the 4th move. But besides the gar set and getting on topic, dug is certainly a compromising issue both in the builder and in game...having to second guess using things like empoleon, tar, metagross, etc. both in game and in theory is worth noting. Forcibly removing mons from a game and limiting the aspect that makes this game so intuitive (switching) is limiting how good this metagame can be. While this isn't smogon there is a reason the mon/ability was banned every generation after ADV.
  11. This is awesome! Love gen 9 mons so these sprites are so cool to have. Can't wait (and hope) to see iron valiant for gallade
  12. Shiny *Comp* Dragonite 🙂 And she's beautiful and was completed very fast, Gene's amazing
  13. Thanks for applying everyone! I can say i'm super happy to be a part of such an amazing team.
  14. Even scarier to think psycho cut can't even proc flame body. Also, the calcs at level 50 versus level 100 change a bit so psy cut has a higher chance to 2hko assuming volc doesn't roost, but ur point still stands. Is it of any concern that in this case Gliscor couldn't run toxic orb and therefore get the benefit of its amazing ability? Just a thought - but like you said it is very restricting to lose toxic on gliscor for a flying gem or itemless for strong acros.
  15. But gallade has shadow sneak.... you know what sets people are using before the battle starts? let me know how. Also, global isn't a great indicator. Didn't you make your forum account yesterday? Kinda odd if you ask me that you're calling reputable players who have won tournaments "trolls". Not to mention there have been plenty of arguments to show why Gallade can be problematic, you just refuse to listen.
  16. Again, you are forgetting that this is something that can happen on the switch. And any smart player would switch out of WoW. Theres no point in telling you that either way since you wont bother listening. like ArtofKilling said enjoy gallade while it lasts.
  17. with sharpness 252 Atk Life Orb Sharpness Gallade Night Slash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Cofagrigus: 86-101 (52.1 - 61.2%) without 252 Atk Life Orb Gallade Night Slash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Cofagrigus: 57-70 (34.5 - 42.4%) Minimum of 86.6% and a max of 103.6%, which is an OHKO. one round of rocks chip basically guarantees the kill. Stop being naive
  18. uh, night slash has a good chance of 2hkoing cofa (1st slash w mummy and second without) oh and weezing gets 2hkod by psycho cut regardless of reactive gas. I recommend you check out https://calc.pokemonshowdown.com/ before coming up with "counters"
  19. hey dont forget dragon tail on both dnite and chomp btw, super important to countering gallade lol
  20. Agree with ur points here. And "walls" lol... 252 Atk Life Orb Sharpness Gallade Leaf Blade vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Spiritomb: 73-87 (46.4 - 55.4%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery 252 Atk Life Orb Sharpness Gallade Leaf Blade vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Sableye: 84-100 (53.5 - 63.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
  21. the point is volc cant switch in. The point is investing in spatk with pelipper decreases its value as a rain setter, which is super important for you SS mons. You clearly havent looked at the overwhelming number of calcs that show that gallade 2hkos most of the bulkiest mons in the game.
  22. 1. pelipper doesnt ohko with hurricane unless its invested in spatk, which would be surprising because rain needs pelipper to have longevity 8 SpA Pelipper Hurricane vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gallade: 108-128 (75.5 - 89.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO - oh and gallade has a 98% chance to 2hko peli. 252 Atk Life Orb Sharpness Gallade Psycho Cut vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Pelipper: 82-97 (49.3 - 58.4%) -- 98% chance to 2HKO 2. you can switch gallade out so it doesnt die to kingdra in rain, switching is pretty basic in PvP 3. +1 volc doesnt even kill gallade and dies in return. +1 252 SpA Volcarona Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gallade: 105-124 (73.4 - 86.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO. 252 Atk Life Orb Sharpness Gallade Psycho Cut vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Volcarona: 161-191 (100.6 - 119.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO. And you can't even get a flame body proc when using psycho cut. So, there go a few of your "counters" that you think exist.
  23. To be fair I disagree. First off, speed boost blaziken will never be healthy for the MMO meta. It was banned in every generation except for gen 8, and even then it was arguably banworthy. Your point about the faster meta being "better" isn't necessarily true either. Like i mentioned before, the current meta arguable forces you to run certain archetypes with very little wiggle room in those team structures. Sure HO is fun, but its unhealthy and reminiscent of gen 5 OU where broken checks broken.
  24. Unfortunately regardless of whether action is taken on Gallade or not, the meta is in a rough spot either way. If you ban gallade, you revert back to the same old centralized meta where games are won if your starmie spins first in smurf HO mirrors (no reliable long term spinblockers btw, but not important) or if your dug traps ttar and reuni sets up to + 1 million. If you keep gallade in the tier with no sharpness nerf, meta becomes even more centralized around spiritomb, sableye, or which brainless HO team can win with gallade first. Sableye and spirit potentially raise their own issues. 2 dark/ghost in a fairy-less meta might be issues even with the mediocre base stats of those mons due to the support movepools they have (not likely an issue but still a noteworthy topic). While I agree that gallade in its current form is an uber worthy mon, the issue comes down to a lack of diversity in the selection of mons. We don't have HA alakazam, ha slowtwins, or HA tangrowth (not answers to gallade either though). We also dont have non-uber legendaries like heatran, mew, victini, or zapdos to name a few. Not that the devs would ever do something like this, but it would provide a fresh take on a stale meta. My point being that regardless of action or inaction on gallade the meta will continue to be extremely centralized where broken checks broken, with no room for team styles outside of HO or hard stall. In short, nerf sharpness to some extent rather than ban (if possible) because gallade is a cool mon, and the current meta sucks regardless.
