I love this game and its community, leading a team, meeting friends, hosting tournaments and giveaways, and getting into the pvp scene its been some of the most fun I've ever had in a video game. That being said im very disappointed with the bitterness and jealousy i have seen lately. When i went to log on yesterday my account and my alt had been permabanned. Strange because i had not been banned the previous night and i hadn't played all day, not to mention my ban reason was inappropriate chat conduct and i barely ever use global anymore and I dont ever say anything too wild there to begin with. I was sad to see a full friends list, multiple comp pvp teams, millions of yen and my team that I created and led were all now gone forever. I submitted an appeal with no reply. It was only when i decided to browse reddit that it finally clicked. I had also been banned from the subreddit, the reason given was "slandering staff. But how had i slandered them? Well a few months ago i had an argument with a certain gm [who i wont. Name so as not to slander them] on these very forums about gallade being banned, he assured me i was just a noob and didnt know what i was talking about when it came to pvp. a few days ago i saw him in vermillion and challenged him and i beat him. I posted a screenshot from our battle with his name blurred out and that was the post linked in my ban notice. It seems like a pretty big coincidence to me for my reddit account and game account to both be banned at the same time but i wont assume. Pictures of these posts and notifications will be below so you can decide for yourself. I dont really have anything else to say about this but since it seems pretty clear the staff dislikes me and will continue to ban any new accounts i make and will not view my appeals i guess im just done with pokemmo. Im sorry for anbody ive offended although i do like to joke around a bit i've always wanted my presence in this community to be a positive one. Pretty confused as I've barely been online this week and definitely havent said anything in global that should have resulted in ban, ive been very careful about my words since getting banned for saying "nuts" before. Is there a way to appeal or atleast have somebody give me the specific reason for why i am banned because id be very disappointed to have nearly a thousand hours gone and not even know why. =(

Yes? Theres tons of abilities in this game that arent gen 5, the most common team type (rain) uses a drizzle peliper which wasnt introduced in gen 5. And either way its totally irrelevant what gen a abillity was introduced that has nothing to do with tiering.

Same can be said about half of the other hidden abilities

Ill be unbanned in 3 hours from there im gonna have to speedrun the pts as fast as i can before it ends. Just in case we get some kind of exclusive shtuff for being testers

This is why we need to advocate against the tier council banning gallade and demand new abillities and move pools like we were given in the last big update to be standard and constant.

Just make it illegal to run sharpness with a life orb if its really such an issue. anything else seems to be unreasonably limiting to "legitimate" playstyles. If your reduce his attack thats makes any abillity other than sharpness unusable. Nerfing sharp isnt so bad but it basically pointless because you have to nerf it to like 20% or something for it to not 2hko with life orb and it makes running choice gallade pointless. I still dont really see any need to ban anything other than people wanting to use cheese strats like double regenerator with drain punch mach punch conk tho tbh. Ive used and played against gallades hundreds of times at this point and its never felt too strong or impossible to counter . Like ive said before and i know its crazy and radical but i think the best option going forward in my opinion is to just add other hidden abilities and moves into the game to compete instead of moving backwards and reverting to the meta we've had for years now.

Now im no nu expert, but it seems disingenuous to compare a blaziken to vaporeon, when tiering you need to take roles,typing,movepool and other mons in the same tier and other tiers into account. If i had to wage a guess id say vap. Usnt being used as a sweeper in nu, more likely a tanky wish/ status spreader and its HA is honestly pretty busted [not sure if it retains hydration as ive never used it] Blaziken would also be pretty unsable in uu or ou but vaporeon plays more like an espeon, pokes like these are nich admittedly but in the hands of the right player can become a real problem in any tier. Not to mention if memory serves me right vaporeon was firmly in OU for all of gen 5.

Randoms is the best tier for beginners my advice is to make sure you read all of your mons stats and moves before starting the match so you can begin to formulate a plan. Every team in randoms is built to be played a certain way and if you can identify how its meant to be played it will become a lot easier look for setup moves like curse or quiber dance and try to figure out a good time to try and use them to sweep, figure out who your wish user or healer ect. If yiu are struggling in the tier its likely due to not undertanding the fundamentals of team structure and how moves work. If that is the case playing randoms will help you learn hoe to play better but if you jump into ou your gonna struggle just the same but youll have to pay to build a team and if your no good at teambuilding its gonna be a waste. Also dont worry about your winrate, at this point its probably more benificial for you to lose than win anyway because you may not even know why you won in the firstplace and losing to good players will help you understand other players strategies and how to beat them. Just have fun and try to take mental notes when you get beat breally badly and if you are really worried about rank just play casuals
