  1. There's no way I was the first one to suggest this, but I couldn't find it when searching for it otherwise I just would've bumped the thread... so... Yea, In Player vs. Player battles make it so when clicking the "Run" option you are prompted with a "Are you sure you want to forfeit the match?" or something. I feel like this is long long long overdue and with all the new matchmaking and stuff, when you've lost it's annoying to have to relog. please devs, I may be wrong but it seems like a fairly easy fix.
  2. Currently, in the pokedex a pokemon's rarity is listed as either Common, Uncommon, or Rare. Example: What I would request would be instead of only 3 rarities there are 5 and 2 new types: Common (40% or higher encounter rate) Uncommon (40% - 20% encounter rate) Rare (20% - 5% encounter rate) Very Rare (5% or less) Legendary (???% Used for Mewtwo and Rayquaza, which currently do not have encounter locations according to the pokedex: Purchase (Any pokemon available for purchase, Magikarp (500$ fisherman), and all of the other Game Corner pokemon, Currently Porygon's ability to be purchased is not listed: Resurrect (All fossil pokemon: Omanyte, Kabuto, Lileep, Anorith, Aerodactyl, all of which have no data on how to obtain: Resurrect and Purchase would be new encounter types such as Rock Smash, Surf, Fishing, Grass. For Purchase "Location" would be where you purchase, eg "Game Corner in Celadon City" "Level" would be the level that the pokemon is received at. "Rarity" would tell you the cost, eg 9999 for Porygon. For Resurrect "Location" would where fossils can be taken to be resurrected, eg "Cinnabar Island's Laboratory" "Level" would be the level that the pokemon is resurrected at. "Rarity" would which fossil it is, eg "Helix" "Amber" etc, which upon hovering over would state: "Chance to be held by wild Geodude, Graveler and Nosepass" Upon hovering over the rarity category, I believe it would be of great clarity to the player if the pokedex gave you either the range that the encounter rate is percentage wise, eg 40%-100% for common, Or even better for clarity, tell us the exact encounter rate upon hovering over. I believe this would be of great use to players moving forward, and that currently some Pokemon with rarities as low as 30% are listed as "Common", which can be misleading. this would give greater clarity AND accuracy.
  3. Who has ever fought against a Ninjask baton passing to Metagross, wasn't the ban 2 years ago and metagross came out after that? along with Ninjask? Are you a time traveler?
  4. Difficulty is not the same as time consumption. There is nothing challenging about hitting the run button on a level 10 geodude. I would not ask for something to be made less time consuming that is core to gameplay such as berries because that affects many things. However no one realistically uses Nosepass, other than for obtaining its OT Pokedex entry. I cannot think of anything this would be categorized under other than Quality of life.
  5. A quality of life change, no one goes to Granite Cave to rock smash for Geodude, The pokedex claims it is common but the encounter rate from the Hand-Helds is only 30%, I would not call that common considering you must leave and re-enter to try for a rock smash encounter, which you don't always get and when you do it will 70% of the time be Geodude. My suggestion is to fully remove Geodude from the Rock Smash encounters in Granite cave. The only reason I make this suggestion is because none of the rocks are blocking your path, they line the edges of the room so they are only deliberately smashed in order to get encounters, and due to the availability of Geodude I can only assume that the only reason one would do so would be to encounter Nosepass.
  6. I understand that, I have expressed that I understand that this is not a "needed" change, however, I think it would be nice if you had an alternative option, People who don't want to spend cash on GC coins and instead want to spend time hunting etc would enjoy this change I feel. Either way I feel it is incredibly minor if it is or isn't changed, but being able to catch something in the wild feels more satisfying than simply spending cash. makes the world feel more alive IMO having that option.
  7. I didn't know that, the more you know, although I feel you still would have added them to the game anyway due to non-renewability.
  8. Oh, I just meant that Originality and not fitting in are two sides of the same coin in a sense. Obviously there are more reasons for the wild encounters of Jynx, Farfetched, Starters etc because they were non-renewable but this meant that every pokemon other than porygon that wasn't extinct was encounterable, and while I understand why it still feels a little odd to me, it's probably irrational on my part. I can't really explain it other than I think it would be super neato if we were given hunting for it in powerplant as an alternative option. Something to me is more satisfying about hunting and catching rather than buying pokemon.
  9. On a side note,, could you possibly make it say in its Pokedex entry that it can be located at "Game Corner Prize" or something? I forgot to mention that in the original post but it would be nice for clarity too. Originality is nice, but at the same time it feels a little out of place. it's definitely unnecessary though but I feel it might be appreciated.
  10. Very few Pokemon in the game now are only available through one method, the only pokemon like this would be Fossil pokemon and Porygon. While Porygon is obviously able to be obtained through the Game Corner, if you could implement Porygon somewhere, the most logical place seems to be power plant at rates similar if not less to that of Beldum in Meteor falls as an alternative method that is more luck based and time consuming rather than purchasing / earning the coins for it. Pros; An alternative to Game Corner that takes time and luck as opposed to cash (Or self-induced comatose gambling states) Every non "Extinct" Pokemon can be encountered. I understand that Porygon is artificial but SOME of them should have escaped. Cons; Game corner is no longer a necessity but instead an option, Potentially a con due to loss of a required money sink to obtain Porygon.
  11. Ooooh. I didn't know that it didn't realize it right away, i mean, not like I could since I would be disconnected. Maybe the server can display a message whenever someone manually clicks the log-off button on the menu as a trigger?
  12. I believe he is referring to when they initially disconnect, not when full disconnection occurs.
  13. I only mentioned that directed towards people who adamantly claim that it is a fact that it is too strong without testing it first. People saying that they think it will be too strong is entirely fine, and an accepted reason, but is an opinion that can have things supporting it such as examples like the video you provided yesterday, but is not a "fact". I only said that because I do not want the for OR against parties claiming facts without a test first. I edited how I worded it to better reflect what I meant, I did not mean to so harshly discredit those against, my apologies.
  14. No, and I shouldn't need to, this is the reason why it should have a trial, to find this out. I specifically mentioned that quote to give an example that we cannot know any facts until a trial is held. While the meta is this chaotic already I feel like this is an appropriate time to do a trial so everything settles out quickly and we can get info on baton pass.
  15. Baton pass is a move that has a lot of controversy behind it. People claim it is unhealthy, overpowered, annoying to play against and "No one wants it" People claim that we cannot know any of these things without a fair trial to see what it is like in the new meta game which is far far different than that of 2 years ago when baton pass last received it's trail. For those who do not know: Baton Pass Clause means that only one Pokemon on your team may know the move "Baton Pass". The number of people FOR a trial in one form or another would be the number of people who selected Option 1 plus the number of people who selected Option 2, This would be compared against the number of people who selected Option 3. Feel free to give your reasoning behind your choice. Simply saying "Nah lets forget it exists" or "I don't like the move" will not help help develop an understanding of why it should remain banned, as there are people who Will not forget it exists and that wants to use it. Please keeps your reasons OBJECTIVE. Claims that it will be too strong may or may not be correct, but we will not know until a trial is held.
  16. It is definitely not a big deal, If I was given a non-OT 6x31 natured poke I would use it, however, I am a stupid person who likes to get sentimentally attached to my achievements such as breeding my 5x31 natured feebas in preparation for milotic *cough*, And the fact that I can say "I made this and it is mine" feels nice because to me it is part of the validation of completing the whole breeding process. the other part is winning with the pokemon.
  17. Dittos would not lose all their value if they implemented a gender change pill, they would still be required for Genderless pokemon or Male-Only pokemon (Taurus) etc.
  18. My point was your argument is based on the fact that a video game is unrealistic by real life standards, The Horror!!!
  19. People make mistakes, this is an undeniable fact. Also this has relevance outside of "Mistakes" in shiny breeding. Also this is a pokemon game, You see pokemon IRL? why would that make sense in Pokemmo?
  20. and you could make it something extortionately expensive, eg, 900,000k or something.

    Rare Drops

If we make the assumption that the average (in average circumstances since we know that shiny encounter rates are dynamic) was say for instance: 1/30,000 A loot chest containing something akin to a "Turn a pokemon shiny" would have to be far far rarer than that, and statically rarer than that. It would probably need to be in the realm of 1/300,000. Because you could breed a competitive rare pokemon with egg moves and turn that shiny and simply remove the functionality of shiny breeding if the potion was too common, so it would need to be that rare. If a loot chest was implemented, I would imagine that it would probably be Pickup exclusive at a rare chance and be area dependant, with different locations giving different types of drops. eg: Pattern Bush has a 1/75 chance on successful pickup to find a Infest Chest, which would have items for that pool. Pokemon Tower 1/75, Spooky chest Icefall Cave 1/75, Frozen chest, etc etc Another alternative possibly to the idea of Shiny Potions would be that they would be more common, however, there are different potions found in different chests, so for instance the Infested Chest's Shiny potion would only allow you to turn a Bug type (Or Bug egg group? not sure if type or egg group is more balanced) shiny. If I were to imagine, I feel like chests would have a general drop table shared in large part between them similar to: "You found Gold within the Chest!" X amount of Nuggets (Its a rare chest drop so it would be a few, like 5 - 7 maybe "You found Medical Supplies within the Chest!" Some full restores, a max revive, a full heal, some hyper potions or something. "You found some Dye!" some dyes that are coloured to thematically match the chest, Olive for Infested chest (bug type) or Blue for water etc? "You found a stash of Berries!" Some rare berries, some seeds, roughly 10-20 berries and 20~ seeds? Colour(Flavour?) themed. "You found an old training Kit!" A macho brace (would now be renewable) and some Vitamins "You found some Rare items!" 2,3, or 4 of a rare item in that pickup table (eg Silk Scarves, Blackbelts, Leftovers) or a PvP item; Choice Bands "You found a Shiny Potion!!!" Ultra ultra SSS tier rare within the chest, a potion that would only work on pokemon of similar theme to the chest. Thoughts?
  22. Can you please explain why this would be overpowered? Asking because I literally do not understand the potential negative connotations of it. Also, are you saying that shiny breeding OT gender issues are a recognized problem? If so, that is nice to hear since it means I'm not crazy.
  23. While you may consider certain pokemon to be whatever you want, pokemon only have 2 canonical versions of "Legendary", being true "Legendary" and "Mythical", Mythical pokemon are your Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Shaymin, Victini, Meloetta, Darkrai, Deoxys, Manaphy, Phione(?), Keldeo, Genesect, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, and finally generation 7's Magearna. That is the closest thing I can see being your definition of "Semi Legendary". All other pokemon are classified as "Legendary". Also, Your idea, you mentioned they take a year to hatch? Why? I honestly associate some kinda of game mechanic taking that long to be literal torture, because if you get into the game later, say 1 year after this was implemented, You will have to wait a year before you can use the legendary pokemon everyone else has. that feels super discouraging for newer players. and no one will want to trade a legendary pokemon away that they took 1 year to hatch. Legendary and Mythical pokemon have been heavily hinted at being implemented in the future in the form of Dungeons, think mazes with strength puzzles where at the end you fight that dungeon's legendary. something like that most likely.
  24. There are also canonical cases where a pokemon's gender can change I believe. It sometimes happens with Azuril when it evolves into Marill, because they both have different gender ratios and it does something causing gender to switch sometimes. I might be wrong on that though, but I'm pretty sure I've read about it happening. please correct me otherwise. Either way, I support this because not only does it allow for corrections, but it can be used to overcome the issue with Shiny OT breeding in the newest update. If this was implemented, in order to be balanced possibly a non-shiny pill and a shiny-only pill could be implemented at different prices for balance. I think that would be a good solution
  25. The point is, I imagine, solely for making use actually go out and complete the pokedex ourselves for an achievement, and it does that perfectly fine, no qualms with it. But yea, does discourage Shiny breeding. Gender change pill which was suggested recently could be a nice solution to this problem.
