1. @laGashetaHardcore Baggy hat suits Parasect better than the baseball cap.
2. @laGashetaHardcore As @McMagister said: Huntail has an 50/50 gender ratio. Just like Gorebyss and Clamperl. So I see no fault with that new sprite of his here. In fact, I'm sure I'll use it for myself whenever or not it gets used in this patch here. :P Great work @McMagister! :D
3. Moltres' head could be two pixel smaller. And Articuno's face may look better when showing a tad more skin, as it currently looks somewhat cramped/tiny compared to the other two birds. Bonus points if both Articuno's and Zapdos' wings were the same size as Moltres'.
4. Mermaid Dewgong FTW! There are already more than enough frilly dresses gijinka included. A change of pace is always welcome in my book.
5. @Moetal I believe Marowak's left upper arm would look more natural if the biceps were more developed. (Daily bone lifting is as good as visiting the gym!) Shrinking the left breast helps to reduce the stirring twin stripes too. Kind of like this: Very rough edit. But at least it's reduced to 16 colours for good measures.
6. @Moetal More like amputeefish. Just look at those stumps! :O Test subject #3 #1 and #2 with their side profiles didn't survive the procedure. So it's back to the roots as it's much easier to draw. Somehow through gene manipulation, she received tentacle hair instead of pointy spikes. But, oh well... moving hair could come in handy.
7. Slowely but surely working my way through Qwilfish. Mainly because I couldn't bear to watch the current sprite any longer. Original from the Moemon database for comparison; Cropped, cleaned and brought it down to 16 colours. Mostly gave her a bigger right hand and a new lower body. Not entirely happy with the right arm though. It's supposed to be bend backwards rather than outside. But this makes it appear rather short for her height. A pre-alpha sketch of the backsprite is currently on the drawing board. Nevertheless, If anyone else wants to give the back a try, go ahead.
8. @Jonikari There were countless of Moemon patches up 'till now. Not only for Fire Red. But for Emerald, Ruby and Leaf Green as well. Plus the Japanese Moemon doujin games and numerous Moemon ips patches. It is true that amongst the very first "wave" of western Moemon patches, there were indeed a dozen in which all of them were catchable. This is of course not the case with the Fire Red Revival Project. But it's still worth to remember the history of moeficated pocket monsters. Also, possible food for thought concerning Azumarril:
9. Two days ago, Zeromaria over at pixiv did this rather cute kuudere treecko-tan sprite. Figured some here may find it useful, seeing as its size matches the new standard.
10. Personally, I always was quite fond of this Staryu here from the Japanese moemon upload site. Nothing says psionics better than floating weaponry. Also, Battle Loli -> Pinup Model. And yes, that is the final version the artist drew. Its earlier versions were quite... scary. In a Picasso meets The Ring kind of way. All I did was to change her colour palletes a bit. Oh, and here's also some edited Yangire Gligar goodness as well: Not the best edit of mine, imho. The lack of available slots for another skirt colour drove me half mad while working on it... But suffice to say, it fits the bill for my casual gaming needs.
11. One thing I always wondered about is why Aozane's Togepi, Togetic, as well as Golduck and Ampharos aren't used in the patch.
The current Togepi family line is anything but moe... more like Lovecraftian abominations.(O_o" ) While the current sprite is not bad at all, this one's body language takes the cake for me. And even if it isn't used as Ampharos it could be modified rather easily into another moemon: Pinsir and Gligar come to mind. Dojikko Golduck FTW!
An undead Shedinja is fine too.
12. Old Glalie: Heavily edited Glalie: Jobchanged Ballerina Glalie into a freezing Onihime Glalie. I blame boredom for that. And yes: the sclera are intended to be pitch black. :)
13. Old Edit: Reworked Relicanth: Original sizes for those who have problems of doing further edits on the enlarged sprites: Changed shape, ankle and size of the mask. Also decided to give the headband a more "tribal" design instead of the previous minimalistic black. Modified Relicanth's camouflage pattern and gave both sleeves an "older" fibe. Placed "holes" here and there in order to show skin. This will hopefully help to visually parse her better. Tried to enlargen her shoes a couple of sizes in order to add more balance to her stance. Fishtail also got more fleshy by properly joining it with her legs. Always liked aquatic moemons with 5 limbs, or more. Blue Shiny Relicanth also didn't look quite right with fair skin, so I cave her choco instead. Last but not least: I re-imaginated Relicanth as a "lolibaba". Thus altered her mouth slightly and added "wrinkles" below her eyes.
14. Moefied Relicanth for my own enjoyment, mainly because this living fossil deserves more than the current included derpjinka. Old Relicanth: Edited Relicanth: For those interested, here are also some nice coelacanth and relicanth gijinka designs.

15. From out of all the Bellsprout gijinka lines designs I saw on pixiv, deviantart and similar places. I found the ones made by jejejeca to be the most thought out by far. Both thematically and design wise. Bellsprout

Weepinbell

Victreebel

These three Sōhei designs also fit rather well with the monks from the Sprout Tower. So that earned them some significant bonus points in my book as well.
16. The front of WIP Centaur Rapidash Mk. 1; A freehand drawn sprite without using any body parts of existing moemons. Nor do I want to take any, as it's more interesting that way for me. Fun fact: I found out that drawing fire manes are much more entertaining than drawing normal hair. To the point where I might have gotten over the top with her "hair" volume. But I don't care. It was helluva fun and would do it again in a heartbeat! :) The horse body was a bit of a challenge to fit into the 64x64 pixel canvas, but I'd say the outcome became surprisingly nice considering the difficulties. Still, I can't shake the feeling off that there's something wrong with her right hand in the background. Best would be to somehow tug both hands together. But how to fold it... Hrm... Still tinkering with the backsprite layout.
17. @OtherPlayers Ah, yes. That was more or less an experiment of mine for drawing shoulder blades and the spinal cord. Having just the top cloth on the otherwise skin coloured back felt like a waste of space to me. Whenever I succeeded in that experiment or not is a different question altogether though. :P Edit: This will probably be the last retouch of Ekans from me, as I already invested more time on it than planned. Changed the colouring of her spinal cord to a more subtile one, enlarged the cord all the way down and changed the back shadows. This should prevent anyone from mistaking the back with the front. Or vice versa. Also retouched Arbok again to separate her more from the human/elven cosplayers in the patch. Elongated her tail end and added additional scale highlights at the tail and belly to make her look more like a snake and less like an earthworm. Also changed to pupils to slits, added fangs, enlarged her mouth and added forked tongue.
18. Something, somewhere went terribly wonky. Not really satisfied with either hand, or the newfound massive size of her arms. But it's good pixel practice training either way, I suppose. *shurgs* Looks like I have to enlargen her lower body by some pixels to cope with the extra weight though. As for my age, I'm 29. Just tried to stay in the PG13 zone when posting the above reference picture of an Lamia kindergartener's arm length.
19. @Moetal Finished Lamia Ekan's backsprite and shiny variant. Given the fact that she not only leans her head forward, but also is tilting it sideways, I felt it would be strange to have her mouth suddenly appear in the middle of her face. So I left the mouth position alone. Same with the arms; I see her right arm as positioned behind her torso and stretched out towards the side. Her left hand/arm rest on her waist, personally I feel this makes the arm a tad *too long*. I could probably thicken both arms slightly to some extent. But it's likely that this could crumble her anatomic balance. For reference:

20. @Moetal Like this, perhaps? -> Any larger than this and I'm afraid her snake body becomes too weak to support her. The body proportions of Lamias are quite different from humanoids after all. I'll have to make the backsprite and shinys at a later time, as it's getting quite late.
21. To honour the arrival of Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou's anime, I felt compelled to change Ekans into a Lamia loli: Intended to go with Lamia Arbok below. Slightly changed her skin colour from the original for better matching her prevolution. Next on my list will be the Ponyta Centaur family tree. All hail to the Monmusume~! Edit: Looks like for some reason the backsprite lost colour either by exporting or uploading. Strange.. Anyway, be assured that I will fix it sometime after work today.
22. @Moetal I don't think it's a good idea for Swinub to have bigger legs than she has now. Compared to the other first evolution moemons, her legs are much more developed. In fact she's currently as big as her second evolution, Piloswine. Which makes me almost want to shrink her down a bit. Well, I finally found out what bothered me with the scarf: it needed a lighter colour tone. (Another attempt at posting it 512x128) On a side note, I played around a bit with Persian. This is not a serious attempt by any means. I only wanted a counterpart to go with Meowth below, as the other Persian sprite looks somehow too brittle.
23. @Moetal 1. Click on the image 2. Press Crtl and hold the key 3. Zoom in with your mouse wheel. 4. ??? 5. Profit! Doing this would be much faster than me manually rescaling the sprite. And becomes much less blurry, as we saw in the other attempt. :P It was my intention to give the legs a little bent, but maybe outcome was too subtile. So here we go a last time~ Lengthed her legs by 1 pixel and returned her facial shadings to that of the original. Also made her fur scarf (hopefully) stand out more on the shiny variant. New highlights for the backsprite hair added as well. And corrected some stray pixels in the fur pants. That would be all I think. I will now turn my attention to another pokemon. Maybe Piloswine or Magcargo. Who knows. *shrugs*
24. Behold, for I am back with Swinub Mark II! :P No more meomons were sacrified for this update. Yup, drew the limbs from scratch this time around. That took longer than expected. But it looks much more satisfying than before, if I do say so myself. I also tried to get a more woolly feeling for the fur clothes. Hopefully it resembles now the coat of a wild boar piglet. Lightened skin and blush colours for better contrast with the browns.
