I don't care what you say. The shiny rate is ridiculous right now and is depending on too many variables apparently.

1/8192 is still hard as we say but compared to the current rate which is nearly impossible. With the current rate you might find ONE shiny after 2 years or something insane like that with the current mechanic. 100k encounters is still not enough to find a shiny according to my luck.

Remember 1/8192 is still a low chance. And it used to be like this.

This game is not suited for shiny hunters which is a big part of the pokemon community for the handheld games but not in this game. I stopped at 50.000+ encounters and that was all counted since I started my hunt. Assuming I have over hundreds of thousands since I started playing this game in 2012 October.

I am serious after 60.000 encounters (COUNTED) and not a single shiny yet. I will not be playing this game anymore since the game only focuses on a few grinding methods and finding a shiny in these methods is just a little feature to it.

Vanilla shiny mechanics. No fun for shiny hunters and there aren't really any consequences that I can think of.

That doesn't make any sense at all because they said many factors was based on the shiny rate and it was variable. So does it mean that new accounts have a disadvantage now and older(played) accounts have an advantage only if they're not detected as cheaters in this case?

I see that you're doing altruns. So are the shiny pokemons found accross all of your characters or just your main character? EDIT: flavajabari asked the same. :)

What date did you find your shiny pokemons?

Would be logical since the chances of finding a shiny is nearly impossible. I don't think any human being here are able to spend almost everyday in a whole month doing the same task over and over again.

I see that. But I do hope they realize they are killing a GOOD grinding method which players will be able to enjoy and spend time on together.

I don't know about you guys but I don't really feel like shiny hunting anymore after this. We don't have any knowledge of the current shiny mechanic. For me it feels like an infinite hunt after all these encounters. If I finally get a shiny after 50.000 encounters more, then I don't really think this game has any potential for shiny hunters at all. I think there are better ways of grinding in this game instead of paydaying the same pokemon over and over again in icefall cave. Something tells me that most people here aren't even shiny hunters and are just here to BS on the game developers. So this might not be a problem due to the minority shiny hunting in PokeMMO. What do I know? But I do hope in the end that the game developers will make it more enjoyable for us shiny hunters. I'll thank you again for the confirmation of the new shiny mechanic so we don't waste our time on doing something that is impossible. Peace.
