The game shifted from casual to PvP/ PvE-events to braindead shiny hunting on 30k odds over the years. 
 
 
Feels like a sentence from the past. Because there is hundreds of people just here for that one reason. Especially the last 3-4 years i see much more people just here for shunting/gambling.
 
 
No offense but dont get frustrated over a game for virtual casino mechanics. Quit the game, touch grass, use the summer time like a normal human beeing and ignore enticement to gamble in games. Most of all, ignore zombies with an endless amount of wisdom that come in with "you need to shunt more" or similar wisdom.

Imagine you sit in front of a one armed bandit slot machine and waiting 8 hours a day for it to hit the 1:30k chance. Thats shunting and what many here consider "gameplay".

Looks like I hit a nerve with my comment, but if you read my post (I know you struggle with reading posts here, so maybe give it a second try), you might understand that he doesn't need motivation, he needs to stop being told he needs it to begin with.
 
Hard concept to grasp, I know. But I guess trying to get snarky at people who corrected you in the past can be blinding. Hope that clarified it for you!

A dopamine hit doesn't justify getting bitter over not getting a shiny like people do during shiny wars and like the OP of this post, and it certainly doesn't justify glorifying gambling at all

It also doesn't help that a bunch of sweaty no lifers romanticize shiny hunting, as if it's this great feature that brings so much joy and rewards the most skilled players; when in reality it's just another form of a gambling addiction with little to no rewards (unless you literally throw your life away doing it) that uses its awful rates to predate on those who are willing to donate to "increase" their odds with charms, Ditto boxes, etc.
 
Do it in your free time if you like it, nothing wrong with that, but the moment you get bitter over not getting a shiny you know it's time to press alt + F4 and take a break. Look for other ways to make the game enjoyable for you, gambling on a 1/30000 chance ain't it

If you're looking for a sign to stop posting on the forums, asking people to stop reacting to things might be it. What's next? No more heartbroken emoji because "it can have a negative impact on our community?" Goodness.
