  1. What is already done on PokéMMO is the mute while waiting to check the history of the player in question to make a decision to ban him or not. A mute is not binding, and can serve as a delay to prevent a player from polluting a chat, and while waiting for a MOD to come, whether it is for a language or not. I don't see how it would be restrictive to give permission to mute but not to ban a CM in a subsidiary way, in my opinion it does not require great knowledge - if you see the person insulting in your language live In any case. There are solutions, and motivated people too.
  2. Good evening everyone, I'm writing here after much reflection regarding the state of non-English-speaking communities, using the moderation of the French community as a basis. To be honest, I'll also elaborate on what led me to ponder this question, although it may be considered secondary. If you want to focus on the main question, I've highlighted the essential parts in bold. To ensure everyone understands me here, I'll have to use a translation that may not be 100% accurate, so feel free to refer to the original message in French if in doubt - which you can translate on your own. The purpose of this message is to be as objective as possible, although initially motivated primarily by my own opinions on the matter. I'll try to separate the two each time, hoping that this separation isn't drowned out by the translation. A few weeks ago, I personally wanted to ask the community about their thoughts on the French moderation of the global chat, which I often found harsh; many were muted without warning for jokes, while at other times dramas unfolded for several minutes without any moderation intervention. That's what motivated me to create a Google Forms in the first place. I have the statistics of the form at hand, but it wouldn't be of much interest to share them with you due to its low participation compared to the entire French global - even considering the most active participants (about thirty of them responded, and while it's not bad, it's still too small a sample). However, in this form, I left text areas for people to explain more in-depth their opinions on the game. The more I received these opinions, the more nuanced the main topic became because indeed, I hadn't realized earlier that there was a significant factor: we only have one GM, shared between his active life and the EN global, who moderates the FR global alone. Regardless of our opinion regarding moderation, the vast majority of people who responded to the form as well as the numerous feedback I've heard about it, all pointed out this same issue. Many times, when there was a beginning of dispute and due to the lack of personnel, it dragged on for far too long, until the moderator logged in to impose heavy sanctions which, even if they could be justified considering what was said, could have been avoided if warnings were given via PMs before it escalated. With more people in moderation, we would have more time to address the origins of the problem, more time to warn those involved before it escalates, and finally more of a sense of "justice" for those involved. This seems to me to be a more respectful approach towards the players, but also towards the moderator, who would share his heavy task with others, being less overworked. Moreover, more people in moderation would especially allow for quicker and more effective action against potential trolls in the global chat, because even if the sanctions are considered severe by some, there are still many situations requiring increased moderation presence... A pace impossible to maintain for one person alone. If adding more personnel would be a solution to all these problems, here are the criteria to become a CM: https://pastelink.net/HowToBecomePokeMMOStaff - Having at least 500 hours of gameplay. - Being able to communicate in English. - Having knowledge about the game. - Be preferably an adult, with no in-game punishment history. While the other three criteria seem to be fulfillable, we notice that many people, although motivated to join the staff - and thus address the aforementioned problems - find themselves stuck by the language criterion. Even if it's understandable to have a minimum grasp of English, the level required to moderate a chat that isn't even in English, screens out many. There are motivated individuals within the FR community alone willing to do this work voluntarily, and it's a shame they're stuck on a criterion that doesn't seem coherent considering what is expected of a CM (and I'm not the only one who thinks so, judging by the forms). Understand that even if the criteria are the criteria, it will affect the entire community as well as the staff involved. Between a moderator unable to be present 24/7 and a considerable number of players feeling aggrieved by this situation, all of this presents flaws that, however, could be easily corrected. So, Im asking the question to non-English speakers, to Spanish, German, Chinese, or Portuguese speakers: do you have the same issues, the same feelings within your community? Regarding your moderation? Your global chat? What about those who are already MOD+ currently, who must, in addition to moderating their own global, moderate the EN global? I specify in anticipation that even if this could be a problem that other communities would not have, on our side in any case it has been going on for some time, and there is no doubt that both player and staff side, it would be nice to have a gesture for us 😉 Thank you for reading until the end, and feel free to share your thoughts on this. 3. Haha, ever so condescending. As far as I can tell, nothing has changed in 5 years, even with the arrival of Sinnoh, weather affected 4g pokemon were present in the META, so my arguments back then are as relevant as they are today . Still don't see the problem? Not to agree is one thing, to fire with misunderstanding is another. It's just curious to see how things evolve, and I just wanted to indicate that. Look at yourself, even here, now, you're allowing yourself to be condescending. You and your buddies make the strategist community look very bad, on PokéMMO and everywhere else, and it shows in the game. It was the same with the Wobbuffet. Nevertheless, good luck to you, hoping that PokéMMO will evolve for the better, because from what I could see, there are still things to save.
  4. Oh well, as if by chance, it set me on fire at the time, and now he's OU tier, what is this magic? ? Yes, I was passing by by chance. ? Hi @RysPicz @razimove
  5. [EN](Google Translate lol) Hi. For once I do not understand why there is to debate the need for such a ban. Wobbuffet is not a strong pokemon, but a completely anti-game pokémon: it comes on a large pokémon of the opposing team having no attack of support, nor provoc nor of Volt / Turn and it is finished of your pokemon. Dugtrio with the talent Trap has been banned for the same reasons, this pokemon is not strong in itself but is completely anti-game. With such a pokemon on the strategic field, one must be forced to predict each of his movements, and it's just heavy to force. If Smogon has always banned (7G included), I still do not understand what he has to do here on PokeMmo, but hey, given the distribution of those who creates the third no wonder there is this pokemon in NU, as well as the Sun in UU (͡ಥ ͜ʖ ͡ಥ) I did my research on the forum to know how such nonsense is possible, and I saw that it was just a guy from the tier -cil who wanted to leave it for the sole purpose of "rendering Pursuit + popular users ": http://zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=19/43/p6q3.png Well. I really do not need to explain how this is a completely exploded reason LOL (See what I said above about the prediction, which just makes the gameplay infamous) By debating this forum several times, I know what to expect here, as well as the intellectual level of some, so I will post this message and never come back to see the answers LOL, given the predictability of the false "arguments "who will arrive (Gnééé there is Heracross in UU and Scizor in OU to counter it so it is zero). I repeat one last time: this pokemon is not strong in itself, but just anti-game, similar to the reason given to Dugtrio. If Smogon, the reference in terms of strategy Pokémon, has banned up to 7G (even +) Shadow Tag talent, it is not by some magic (I repeat, I do not even understand why it should to have a debate on it WTF) With that, I leave the rest to the happy people with a brain here (if it exists?) Tirelessly repeat how the mere presence of Wobbuffet Shadow Tag is an insult to the pokemon strategy (good luck to these latter besides there is a strong risk of ridiculing you for daring to criticize the current meta), and I return to take care of my own community, on my own pixelmon server (with the Smogon-based meta OF COURSE ;)) ======================================================================= [FR] Yo.
  6. " P o k e m o n i s f o r c h i l d r e n "
  7. I play Machamp and i use it for counter Snorlax many and many times :)
  8. So far, the only counters proposed were Altaria and Mandibuzz, to which I replied that only 2 counters is not enough, and is too cheat (example of the Snorlax banned in OU, while there In Heracross, Machamp, Breloom the cancer to counter it) and you speak of counter-argument as if you have given thousands of them. Do not take it badly, dear English speakers, but if things are carcinising more and more, it is because you annihilate the opposition under a flop of insults (I will not make the list of nicks, we will say after I am "too virulent" lol, so I spare their anonymity by very great generosity) for fear of being annihilated by your friends. Bravo. For my part, and it seemed to me that it was clear, I said, by finality, that I will have to get used to this low-floor gameplay, breeding 1 pokémon only and for the sole purpose of countering the suns teams. On this, have a nice evening, even if you do not deserve, for some, this courtesy (you saw what a generous man I am lmao)
  9. Yet another who attacks people and not arguments, it's sad how sad the world is :) But I do agree with you on one point, I made a request, and it turns out that people do not want to change their standards. I will have to rely on the majority. I do not know if you noticed, but you come after the war. My my my...
  10. No money for breed lol. I will do like all low-players, ie breed Mandibuzz just to counter a climate over cheat, and hope to find a good parade. In addition, I will not rebreed a team to be banished after : ')
  11. Je te l'accorde, la transition entre la 3G et la 5G a laissé des traces. Cependant, ma team, sans le soleil, a su rester très efficace. Toutefois, je déplore le fait que je sois obligé de breed un pokémon juste pour contrer un climat abusé. I grant you, the transition between 3G and 5G has left its mark. However, my team, without the sun, was able to remain very efficient. However, I deplore the fact that I have to breed a pokémon just to counter an abused climate.
  12. Anyway, I made my request for banishment way too late, since the PokéMMO community has let itself be easy and now the whole metagame of the UU depends only on the Sun. Sad.
