  1. Bump What about fast forward for tournament once they're completely over? Or past a certain date (ex: 7 days after the tournament is over)? I would like to spectate some matches but they're so, so terribly slow
  2. Any advices on breeding a Rotom-W ? Is it most often used as defog-user or just some kind of bulky pivot ? Do you have any idea what the preferred spread would be ? I don't really understand what makes it strong besides it's typing+levitate but I'd like to give it a try and see by myself what it is capable of
  3. You need to breed the female larvitar with a male treecko that learns pursuit naturally by leveling (they're the same egg group and the baby will be a larvitar with pursuit) I would advise you to breed tyranitar to at least 5x31 since the iv you left untouched (sp.def) is particularly important for a pursuiter like tyra
  4. I don't think this work, I tried using it on Breloom because I thought that he has technician: he doesn't I ended up losing 70k (yes TWICE because I'm pooped) since he only has 1 ability and it consumed the pill anyway Any chance of getting my money back?
  5. Alright so I should keep in mind whe breeding that things such as Dnite/Mence, wobbuffet, dugtrio, blissey and tyranitar may not be in OU forever right ? corrrect me if I missed any other "contested" pokemon
  6. I've taken a look at OU viability and usage statistics etc since I came back after a long while, and I'm trying to compute everything that has changed.. One thing is bothering me though, how are Dugtrio and (even more so) Wobbuffet not banned ? I've never been a fan of outright banning everything thats big in the meta (see blissey or snorlax), but aren't those two just annoying-no-counterplay gimmicks ? Also, another unrelated question: why is Salamence so rarely used ? Why is Dnite used over Salamence ? Surely intimidate + better speed makes up for a bit of lost bulk?
  7. Ok nvm I hadn't been to Unova, and it's actually quite populated But as you guys said, when it comes to pvp it seems that the game has taken quite a hit yeah Thanks for answers
  8. Hi everyone, I came around to see how the game has changed over the last year ( I think last time I played was around 2016 christmas), since apparently there's a new region etc. Problem is that the game seems deserted, what happened ? Where do people hangout, why is /channel so empty ? Even the pvp ladder seems abandoned
  9. I don't use Chansey but clearly, some sp atkers can ruin my day if I don't predict right (they will depend on the team but I can't cover everything anyway)
  10. I think the problem of the Chansey usage rate is not something that directly comes from the pokemon itself but from the overall metagame of Pokemmo. If you ban her (and yes I absolutly loathe Chansey), the result will simply be a shift to Porygon2 with support from a few handful resists/immunities. So many chanseys don't even have spdef invest nowadays so there's little difference.. In my opinon, the fact that most of the biggest physical threats are (rightfully) banned means that the risk of losing momentum associated with switching on Chansey is lower. What would you do against Chansey? The number of decent answers is limited in my opinion (assuming you're playing a "standard" team), and they are also very easily shut down Physical sweepers? just fall back on Weezing/Milo/Arca Guts users ? Potential kill but most often easily RK since they end up crippled Spikers ? you get to para them which isn't that bad + they bring quite low pressure on their own, allowing you to take back the lost momentum What pokemon can truly take advantage of Chansey then ? Metagross and Venu (2nd and 3rd) to which there's no true "safe" switch among the common OU pokemons. The big 3 banned threats (Dnite Salamence Tyra) have in common with Venu/Metagross that they don't have any truly reliable pokemon you can switch on to "sponge" them, and I think that the lack of pokemons of this kind is the reason this meta doesn't se much diversity from a stalling point of view. (please note: I'm not advocating for the return of Salamence Dnite and Tyra, the cons would vastly overweight the pros) In conclusion I think Chansey is indeed unhealthy for OU because she limits teambuildding, but I'm not sure if she should be banned for it tl;dr: standard offense is low, makes it difficult to punish conventional stall cores even when playing ahead -> encourages players to abuse conventional stall cores I'm just trying to give my interpretation of the issue, as for an answer... I haven't thought that far
  11. Use a RS resist like metagross or swampert, though I agree it's really dumb & full of hax
  12. Porygon2 for A: this thing is as good as most of the A-list if not even better in my opinion, and it also doesn't require much support to fit into a team! Ok maybe you'll need to pair it with a few resists/immunites cause it's not as tanky as Chansey, but if you look at the top of OU lists, you'll see plenty of complementary pokemons which makes Porygon2 a pokemon that is really easy to incorporate into your team! Another reason I think it's A is its versatility: The spdef classic set is good and can use several different coverage moves, the more offensive SpAtk set can be really annoying to switch into with STAB tri-attack (and its BS status) or icebeam to ruin Venusaur's day, and finally the return set can really threaten Chansey (or you could even trick her). Overall Porygon2 has enough different working sets to make it more fearsome than a lot of A tier pokemon imo Kingdra for B+: Maybe even for A ? I'm not sure, but I'm sure it's more than B material for me. It's a pretty easy to read pokemon (once you've guessed if its DD or rain), but that doesn't really matter imo, as I feel it deserves at least B+ for the DD set alone. One of the best typing in the game capable of switching on any fire/water move, CC absorption via Rest, and only a handful of pokemon able to completely shut it down (Gyara, Milo, Slowbro, Vap... easy teambuild...). Thanks to rest it nearly never ends up losing much when walled -> easy switch in, easy switch-out. I do acknowledge that unlike Porygon, Kingdra requires support to shine so that why I proposed B+ not A Houndoom for B/B+ : Best user of pursuit + excellent double immunity + a whole range of very different sets that can make it a real pain in the ass for the enemy, but also very frail and 95 base speed + easy switch in for enemy Blazikens
