I like the idea, in my case I would love to have stars alongside the name to indicate an accomplishment, like one for becoming champion on all regions, other for completing the OT dex, etc. Kinda similar to the original games.

Oh, that explain my confusion, I thought maybe I had forgotten one of the locations when you mentioned Lapras and Mantine on the same spot, and i was looking at the dex for that, my mistake. Also i will try again to search for Dragonite, Seismitoad and Lanturn, because genuinely i cant believe that after 20 lures on each spot i didnt find a single one.

When i was doing the guide i tried to get dragonite from challenger's cave while fishing, and it didnt appear, then i tried on route 8 for a seismitoad and nothing, and finally i tried on driftveil city for a lanturn and nothing again, and in the three cases i used 20 expert lures, that give me the impression that you can't get the lure exclusive pokemon while fishing, but it turns out that i was just unlucky. Im gonna fix the guide then. It seems to be that when multiple lure pokemon share the same location, one is more rare that the other? If that is the case, that means the the 5% could split with multiple pokemon, something like 4% for the common pokemon and 1% for the rare one? Like the one you commented with the Lapras? if that is the case, im gonna do some testing. Also i didnt know about the SOS battle, i didnt experienced once on my entire time testing the lures, so im gonna add it the guide, thanks!

I'm not quite sure, the only pokemon you get from lures while surfing on route 13 is eelektross, so if you like that pokemon go for it. You need to know that you get lure-encounter pokemon from walking and surfing, but not fishing, that means that the only effect of using the lure while fishing is having more stronger pokemon and the possibility of a double encounter. I did a test, and i got a staryu while surfing with the lure on route 13. Normally the staryu is between level 35-55, but because the lure is active, you will always get the highest level from that encounter plus some extra levels, as in my case that I found a level 56 staryu. The dratini is a special case, in most places, the pokemon have very similar max levels, so the lure does as intended, but on dragonspiral not every pokemon has the same max level, dratini max level while fishing is 40, but basculin, another encounter from fishing, has a max level of 55, so what the lure does is that it takes the max level from basculin (which is the strongest pokemon from that area) and applies it to dratini plus the extra levels from lure, thats why you got a lv56 dratini. This is not something that i knew, so thanks for the discovery!

Yes, the starters are exclusive to lures since the last update, you cant find them without the lures anymore.

I think this guide is finished, i already tested how the lure works, the locations, how lures interact with other items, etc. In the case of the spanish translation, I wanted to place it as a comment, i saw other guides do that and I thought that it could be better than placing it on the topic. The only thing i see myself updating, is the locations when johto is released, and any other changes that is done to lures when an update arrives. Now i dont know what has to be done in the forums when a unfinished guide is completed, its my first time doing a guide after all, but thanks to everyone who gave me information on lures, especially locations.

I wasnt sure if i should put the prices on the guide or not, because the lures are new and the price on GTL can change from time to time.
