So while working on the battle background, I figured I'd download and replace those .xml files the guide says to use. I'm very new to this, so I have no idea how to exactly fix this, but PokeMMO can't load the theme I'm working on and this is the error in the log 😕

Any chance anyone could tell me if there's a way to prevent this stretching that occurs when opening the bag during battle?

The bigger Battle-Item Selection came with the latest (or one before?) Upate. I assume you can play around with the settings above but havent really f

ound time and motivation to play around there.

Tho, the Stretching looks like dante has 2 expressions 😄

Secondly, I've been spending a bit of time here and there editing things for my own GUI, and while testing what shows where before I came accross this guide, I discovered that one of these health bars is actually used for triple+ battles, as you can see in these screenshots.

Yea, the Bars Health/Info Bars are seperated for Normals, Horde and Spectating.

Sadly it seems that fixing the stretching issue with the Bag during battle is beyond me. I was able to reduce the size of the scroll window, but the other parameters don't seem to work or do anything noticable to it sadly. I may just have to deal with stretched Dante & Vergil or have a transparent background, which isn't the worst thing to deal with

Really!? You come through clutch yet again! XD

took a while to do it because I mostly have all my themes edited in some form

but if you overwrite your files with this it should work

https://www.mediafire.com/file/hzz85myx17f6mf8/battlepanels.zip/file

dont forget to make a backup of your theme before trying this

the gfx.xml its edited to work with login background edits (only need the main-widget.xml and the background.png correctly placed)

overwrite your gfx.xml and battle.xml with those one

then put battle-framebg inside res with all the other textures

this way when battle will shown the battle-framebg and when open the bag will shown the panel of battle-hud

I believe there are more fancy ways to do this, but im not expert

hope it works for you at first try

let me know if it works, good luck!

It worked in replacing the main battle screen, but the bag screen is still using the old one and is still stretched? Not sure what I did wrong lol

While we're on the topic of stretching, anyone know if it's possible to define what point a texture is stretched? For example, here you can see the border around the fight button is really stretched

image.png.6c53efb6483f79d89c54bb86aabbec9b.png

Below is it's corresponding image within the main-hud.png

image.png.4e68db9133db4eb502eb91a99e67500f.png

I want to make it so it stretches the image from somewhere within this white area so that it doesn't stretch and ruin the cut off corner lookimage.png.b5c9fa901eb9f4dbdbee937ae030aa4a.png

maybe I expressed wrong

this wont fix the stretching, but will allow you to use differents panels between bag and common fight

battle-framebg works for the common battle

when you enter the bag item menu it will use the battle-hud pannel like this

battle-hud.png.ccad5eb8619fcb1b47a1d679c11ed6c0.png

As I told you this dont fix the stretch soo you gonna need to use the image edited to work propperly when stretched check like this

df896d83bfec66c4a240be7c3f3ae1b7.jpg.61d337e585ccf32fb65a34d93b4a19cd.jpg

this is the original image I use, see in the battle-hud how made it vertically smaller, soo when its stretched dont gonna look as bad

the end result will give you thisscreenshot_1663093351.thumb.png.a059316bf629a7d3a9a14710f799cfe5.png

this one works well

screenshot_1663093217.thumb.png.318f5f2d64b79f4d517bcb2d02178a4b.png

and if you edit propperly your second panel it should look as good as original, see i did this quick to show, but see how works? still need fixing the resolution thou hehehe

you can try editing pixel by pixel, seems like you already get it, try making the line more straight and less diagonal till you find it fits propperly withouth getting ruin by the stretching

refer to xywh values in the gfx.xml and adjust accordingly. see gfx_ui.xml as well.

find the block where the .png name is listed, try adding or removing splitx / splity, inset flags until you achieve desired result.

you have full control over everything in the user interface, essentially. by studying these image file and area blocks, it will eventually "click" how the game sources assets.

Yes im not expert at all, just trying trough test and error, im glad I could reach you a simple effective solution, even stretching the imagen before its kind of tricky

here its the example and the results
