A question, in which format we will play VGC? Because exists 3 formats:

- Regional Dex: Plays with pokemons of only one pokedex.
- National Dex Open: Plays with all pokemons avaliable
- National Dex Restricted: Restrict the most powerful mons(In VGC are some legendarys, but on MMO we can't get Legendarys so we can adapt and put the 15 most used on Doubles) to 2 per team

Decided how the Individual prizes will be splited? If not, here is a suggestion:

60% of prize dedicated for this, go to the best player of each tier, 10% per tier.

30% go to the best player from tournament

10% go to the star of the championship. Is the same concept than Best player of tournament, but only players doing their debut on team tournaments can participate.

Bienvenido al hilo general de la primera temporada de PCL presentado por@Quinn010 y coanfitrión por@xJoseee. La PokeMMO Challenge League (PCL) es un evento por equipos donde los mejores competidores se enfrentan semanalmente para reclamar un gran premio. Los jugadores serán seleccionados por subasta por uno de los seis  entrenadores de la temporada e integrarán un equipo que buscará ganar la primera corona de la PCL. Una vez formados los equipos, comienza la competición.

 

El evento tiene dos fases: la temporada regular y los playoffs . Según su desempeño durante la temporada regular de todos contra todos, cada equipo se dirigirá al grupo de eliminación simple de los playoffs con algunas ventajas o desventajas.

 

Cada semana, los entrenadores enviarán una alineación de jugadores basada en niveles que se enfrentarán a la alineación de un equipo contrario. Los niveles de PCL son: batallas aleatorias, monotipo, 1 contra 1, sin niveles, VGC, batallas de rotación.

Anfitrión

El anfitrión puede participar en el evento como jugador. el anfitrión no puede gestionar un equipo. El anfitrión será ayudado por un consejo de Otros Metajuegos para ciertas decisiones y decisiones de actividades. El consejo de OM también realiza subastas sobre niveles si es necesario antes o durante el torneo. Para llegar a la mayor cantidad posible de competidores en nuestra vasta comunidad, sería ideal tener un anfitrión/consejo pequeño que pueda hablar varios idiomas.

Subasta

La Subasta de Pretemporada de la PCL se realizará en discord en un canal privado. Solo los administradores y el anfitrión podrán utilizar funciones de voz y escritura. Todos los demás presentes serán silenciados y actuarán únicamente como espectadores. El draft se realizará después de que se completen los registros de jugadores. El horario lo decidirán todos los gerentes y el anfitrión para adaptarse al horario de todos. A diferencia de eventos como PSL, no se utilizan créditos para este draft; en cambio, se llevará a cabo en un formato de draft de serpiente y el orden de los equipos se determinará al azar. El orden del draft se habrá determinado antes del inicio del draft y los equipos elegirán en este orden. Cada equipo elegirá un jugador, hasta llegar al equipo final, después de lo cual el orden del draft se invierte y el equipo final ahora obtendrá la primera elección para la siguiente ronda, lo que lo convierte en un Draft Snake. Este proceso se repetirá hasta que cada equipo tenga un total de 10 jugadores, suficiente para 6 titulares, 3 suplentes y un entrenador. Se solicita a los gerentes que tengan una lista predeterminada de los jugadores que pretenden nominar para que el proceso se desarrolle lo más rápido y sin problemas posible. Cada equipo tendrá 90 segundos por ronda para elegir a su jugador y si exceden este límite, su elección se omitirá y podrán compensar esto después de las siguientes 5 selecciones (media ronda). En el próximo intento, tendrán un cronómetro de 30 segundos para volver a elegir. Si no lo hacen dentro del tiempo asignado, se les agregará esta selección en particular al final del draft.

Jugadores

Respetarás a tus compañeros y sobre todo respetarás a tu manager. Si te seleccionó un entrenador que no te agrada o no quieres, tendrás que dejar estos sentimientos a un lado. Registrarse es como firmar un contrato y estas son condiciones que debes aceptar. Desobedecer sus deberes de PCL resultará en su exclusión de PCL. En cualquier momento, el anfitrión puede darle una advertencia o una restricción basada en su comportamiento. No actúes como un uguu y deberías estar bien. Intentar evadir partidos intencionalmente o no intentar terminar el partido, por ejemplo, puede resultar en sanciones. Es imposible que el anfitrión planifique cada situación, es posible que surja algo que no esté dentro de los límites de las reglas. Es importante recordar que la decisión final recae en el anfitrión. El entrenamiento no está bien, pero no hay forma de evitarlo. Transmitir a través de Discord y el chat de voz es demasiado fácil y accesible. Si entrenas o te entrenan, la culpa es tuya. Algunos jugadores quieren jugar solos y eso es honorable, pero por el bien de la competición deben saber que su oponente puede no ser tan honorable como ellos y, por tanto, prepararse en consecuencia. No se permiten imágenes fantasma. Cualquier persona que sea sorprendida siendo fantasma o fantasma será expulsada del evento. Tampoco está permitido registrarse en un alt a menos que te asegures de que todos sepan que es un alt. Cualquier persona que sea sorprendida registrándose en un alt sin revelar su identidad real será expulsada del evento. No espere que el anfitrión o el pequeño consejo emprendan una caza de brujas a menos que haya pruebas abrumadoras de irregularidades. Una captura de pantalla de los jugadores en un canal de voz en l no es una prueba abrumadora, por ejemplo.

Gerentes

son responsables de liderar a sus equipos dentro y fuera del campo. Son responsables de redactar sus equipos, establecer listas semanales, garantizar que su equipo siga las reglas y comunicar la información del equipo al anfitrión. Los jugadores que deseen ser considerados para las seis posiciones de entrenador se registrarán en el hilo "Registro de entrenador" cuando se publique. Como entrenadores podrán jugar los seis entrenadores seleccionados por el anfitrión. Se publicará más información sobre el rol y las responsabilidades de un gerente en el hilo de registro de gerentes. Si el entrenador está en un momento u otro demasiado ocupado para administrar, puede seleccionar a uno de sus jugadores o pedirle a un amigo que se haga cargo de sus funciones temporalmente.

Temporada regular

En el round robin de seis semanas, cada equipo jugará contra todos los demás equipos una vez.

Un equipo recibirá 3 puntos por victoria, 1 punto por empate y 0 puntos por derrota.

Eliminatorias

4 equipos se enfrentan entre sí en un grupo de cabezas de serie regulares.

Hay partido por el 3er puesto.

En caso de empate, los equipos se enfrentarán en un desempate BO3 con Randoms + Manager Choice de ambos equipos.

Niveles

All tiers that are played this PCL
1v1 :  is a Metagame where players choose a Pokémon that they believe is capable of defeating most—if not all—other Pokémon in a one-on-one situation. Players are allowed to bring a team of three Pokémon to the game but must select only one to battle with. So, while your team of three should be able to cover a wide variety of common threats, the Pokémon you send out must be able to beat any of your opponent's Pokémon, or at least the one you think they will use against you. 

Untiered : Is a metagame as defined in the Pokemmo Pokedex that bans all Pokémon from the upper tiers in OU, UU & NU

VGC : is The Pokémon Company International's official tournament series but played on pokemmo. This format is played as a Doubles Battle it only allows you to select 4 out of your 6 Pokémon to send into battle.

 

Monotype : Monotype is a format where all Pokémon on your team must share a common type. Both single- and dual-type Pokémon are allowed. For instance, Gengar is eligible for both mono-Ghost and mono-Poison teams. 

Random Battles : In Random Battles, in this format both players get a randomly generated team with premade sets. 

 

Losers Game : In this format, you win by losing! That is to say the win condition is changed from knocking out all of your opponent's Pokemon to winning by knocking all of yours out first.

Because the unofficial tiers has no automated usage gathering system, each match played  will need to be accompanied by a screenshot of the Team Preview. This gives us a small but better than nothing sample size for future tiering decisions.

Congratulations to @atlewis and Can't Stop Meowth's for winning this event, really tough opponents and thoroughly deserved.

 

I would like to thank @Quinn010 for hosting another great event and picking me as a manager, it was a great experience and an enjoyable one. I would like to thank all my teammates for being continuously active, supportive, and dedicated despite the prize pool not being the best compared to other events.

 

About the event itself, it ran smoothly but if there will be another edition next time then these would be my suggestions:

• All random battles are BO3 as this is hugely RNG dependent
• Potentially replace Loser's Game with Rotation Battles which also involves skill with a chess-like mindset
• Keep Untiered, VGC, Monotype as they are are
• If C&B becomes a thing, do not include the remove Pokemon rule each time as that makes it completely RNG based

Once again, thank you and I look forward to hopefully becoming a manager at a future event.

I'd had to disagree on untiered. It can't stay the way this are, they should do like Slam and attempt to run a banlist. 

Emboar running entire season being broken as ***, Vanilluxe having few switch-ins and Blizzard being spammable in 90% of tier and torterra in part of season was broken, torterra more because all possible checks/counters are NU or above. This stay the way that are now is not acceptable.

Remaining i agree.

I don't think Emboar was a big factor at all this PCL. Same with Vani.

Checked all scouts and the teams we ran in Untiered, they really weren't a big factor at all.

So no reason to add a banlist. Banning stuff above cutoff like its done in TCL is usefull, but more seems ridiculous to me.
