The lastest news from the developers is that they did set along iOS release a large suite of scripting changes to help them support future regions. Source: Everything seems polished to the development of the region and I have good thoughts that it will be released more rapidly. I don't want people to get sad with the waiting period so I would suggest people to forget about Johto for a period of time and focus on something else.
