Wisps location - Update - Halloween 2022

This guide is different from the previous posts because I re-ordered the wisps location for each region to go in order which will cut down how long it takes to collect 27 wisps per region. I also added more detail to most of the locations since some wisps can be confusing. 

 

Region: Kanto

Pokemon: Alpha Gengar

Moves: Shadow Ball, Giga Drain, Pain Split, Taunt

Ability: Cursed Body

1.      R2 – Start from Viridian City, head north, and use cut

2.      Mt. Moon after the Paras hallway, from rt4 entrance.

3.      R4 – East from the two fighter NPCs. Start from Cerulean City and surf onto the land.

4.      R24 – go to Bill’s house then take the side route back down to Cerulean City

5.      R8 – near the slopes 

6.      R9 – Go from Cerulean city side 

7.      Power Plant. Outside of the exit.

8.      R11 – Top right corner near the entrance to route 12

9.      Rt12 – After entering R12 from R11, head north. You need surf.

10.  R13 – You need cut. Located where Chansey swarms occur.

11.  Celadon – Northwest behind the buildings 

12.  R16 – You need cut. Located in the area where you get the Fly HM.

13.  R17 – Bike down. The wisp is located between two lakes, near a sign.

14.  Fuchsia City. Go into the Safari and it is near the surf house.

15.  R22 – Fly to Viridian then head left.

16.  R23 – South of the Pokémon league.

17.  i1 – Treasure Beach.

18.  i1 – Kindle Road, behind 3 rock smashes.

19.  Mt. Ember – Use Strength to push the two boulders on your left. Then use rock smash to clear the path. Go in the left cave and follow the path as if you were heading to Moltres. You will see the wisp on the way.

20.  i2 – In front of the house on Cape Brink. (There is a hidden rare candy behind the house)

21.  i3 – You need surf and cut. Berry forest. Surf on the lake at the end and cut 2 of the 3 trees blocking the way.

22.  Viridian Forest – Start from Pewter City.

23.  R21 – You need surf. Above cinnabar.

24.  Poke mansion – Cinnabar Island. Climb the stairs to the third floor.

25.  Inside seafoam islands – Start from Cinnabar Island. Keep going down the ladders and the wisp will be in the water.

26.   Rock tunnel – You need flash. Enter from Lavender’s side. Go past the two green trainer girls and down the stairs. Go south until you see the hiker, then go east. Go north past the trainer girl and then east to the alpha spawn location

27.   Lavender Tower, 1st floor


Region: Hoenn

Pokemon: Alpha Dusknoir

Moves: Shadow Sneak, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Leech Life

Ability: Frisk

1.      Petalburg Woods Part 1 – Enter Petalburg woods from Petalburg city and immediately take the exit on the right to come out onto the raised platform or Route 104

2.      Petalburg Woods Part 2 – You need cut. Make your way to the end of Petalburg Woods, but do not exit. Cut the trees to the right of the northmost exit and make your way down to the next wisp

3.      Route 105 – You need surf. Fly to Petalburg and surf south. Surf to a small island that has a regi structure.

4.      Granite cave – You need a MACH BIKE and Flash.  

5.      Abandoned Ship on route 108 – follow the stairs, don’t enter any rooms until u get to the deck again

6.      Route 110 – in the water near bike road (slateport side)

7.      Route 111 –  Fly to Mauville. Change from mach bike to ACRO BIKE. Enter the desert and go south to the regi entrance.

8.      Route 115 – You need surf. Fly to Rustboro. go along the west coast, surf and go up the stairs

9.      Route 117 – behind south flower bed, from verdanturf, hard to spot

10.  Route 116 – Enter the tunnel from Verdanturf town and take the exit immediately on the bottom left.

11.  Lavaridge town – Hot spring.

12.  Mt Chimney – at the peak where you get the Meteorite

13.  Route 113 – Fly to Fallarbor and head to the right.

14.  Route 114 – Fly to Fallarbor and head to the waterfall on the left. Climb the waterfall.

15.  Meteor falls – Go up the waterfall, take the first ladder down, then climb up the ladder in the southwest.

16.  Route 119 – You need surf, waterfall, and ACRO BIKE. Fly to Fortree City and climb the waterfall behind the weather institute.

17.  Route 120 Part 1– You need surf. Enter the scorched slab. It is the first cave to the right of Fortree City, in the water.

18.  Route 120 Part 2 – After passing the scorched slab, there will be stairs to climb at the southwest part of the map. Climb the stairs and head north towards the second regi cave location.  

19.  Safari zone – Once you enter the safari zone, head north towards the path that requires the ACRO BIKE.

20.  Mt. Pyre – You need Surf. You want to climb Mt. Pyre as if you’re going to collect the orbs. The wisp is near a gravestone.

21.  Route 123 –  You need cut and surf. When going through route 123, stay towards the top. You want to end up at the lake near the Berry Master’s house.

22.  Route 124 – You need dive. Start from Lilycove. It will be the 1st diving spot you see. When you dive, head south and pop-up at the first available spot you encounter. You will appear on route 126.

23.  Evergrande city – Fly to Evergrande city. It is the entrance of the victory road. The wisp is on the flowers.

24.  Route 127 – You need surf and dive. Fly to Mosdeep. Go southeast until you see an island with a fighter and 2 hideouts. Dive into the patch of water there.

25.  Sky pillar – You need surf. near the entrance

26.  Route 134 – You need surf. Stay around the bottom currents.

27.  Route 102 – Closer to oldale town, above a ridge.

 

Region: Unova

Pokemon: Alpha Chandelure

Moves: Flamethrower, Shadow Ball, Energy Ball, Psychic

Ability: Infiltrator

  1. Route 1 – You need surf. Fly to Nuvema town, walk north until you get to the river, then surf down. Wisp is on the grassy, raised hill. Procees southwest until you go through the entrance to route 18. 
  2. Route 18 – You need surf. 1st wisp as in the grass at the P2 lab. For the 2nd wisp, go from the P2 lab carefully to the beach in the west by avoiding the currents.
  3. Route 2 – Fly to Striaton city. Go south until you hit the stairs. Go up the stairs and follow the path to the wisp.
  4. Dreamyard – Fly to Striaton city. Cut the first treat, go through the hole path, and climb the stairs.
  5. Striaton City garden – Wisp is located in the southwest.
  6. Wellspring cave – Located on Route 3. You need surf and flash. Go to Floor 2. It is on the east side.
  7. Pinwheel forest. It is in the northeast.
  8. Route 4. Fly to Castelia city and head north. After entering route 4, go to the left towards the lake then head north.
  9. Desert Resort – Fly to Nimbasa city then head to the Desert Resort. The wisp is in the southwest
  10. Relic Castle Exit – After getting the previous wisp, go to the northwest tower. 
  11. Lostlorn Forest – You need surf and waterfall.
  12. Route 5 – The wisp is at the top part of route 5.
  13. Cold Storage – inside at the back.
  14. Driftveil city – You need surf. It is at the lighthouse.
  15. Route 6 – Top left of the Season Research Lab
  16. Mistralton Cave – You need flash, strength, and rock smash. Guidance chamber
  17. Chargestone Cave – Enter from Mistralton city. Go down two flights of stairs and head south.
  18. Celestial Tower – Top floor.
  19. Route 7 – On the circle bridge that one of the clowns is running on.
  20. Twist Mountain – Enter from icirrus side. When you enter Twist Mountain, take the bottom entrance to enter the middle open chamber.
  21. Dragonspiral Tower – At the top
  22. Route 8 – On the way to the Moor of Icirrus, you have to pass by a lake. The wisp is located to the top left.
  23. Moor of Icirrus – Northwest
  24. Route 9 – Right above the entrance to challenger cave
  25. Route 10 – Fly to the beginning of victory road then go backwards. Do NOT go into victory road. You will find the wisp in the 2nd to last badge gate area.
  26. Daycare – Wisp is on the slide.

 

Region: Sinnoh

Pokemon: Alpha Drifblim

Moves: Hex, Acrobatics, Magic Coat, Thunderbolt

Ability: Flare Boost

1.      Amity Square – Located in Hearthome City. Take the right entrance which is located in the Northeast part of Hearthome city. Turn right when you go inside the ruins.

2.      Route 208 – You need surf and waterfall. Start from Hearthome city and head to Mt. Coronet. Before you enter Mt. Coronet, you will see an area with water and a waterfall.

3.      Mt. Coronet part 1 – You need strength and rock climb. After  climbing the stairs to Floor 2, move the boulder and exit using the southwest entrance. Use rock climb to go down the wall and get the wisp. Then go back into Mt. Coronet for the wisp in part 2.

4.      Mt. Coronet part 2 – You need strength and rock climb. Go from Hearthome city. When you reach the first snowy area, rock climb on the north wall twice.

5.      Route 211 – You need rock smash and rock climb. Start from Celestic city. Go left and use rock climb.

6.      Route 216 – You need strength and rock climb. Enter Mt. Coronet from Celestic city’s side and go up to the snowy area of Route 216. Rock climb to where the skiers are.

7.      Lake Acuity – You need surf. Top right where grass patches are.

8.      Route 210 – need rock climb

9.      Route 209 – top of the tower

10.  Route 215 – Start from Veilstone. You have to ride along a bridge.

11.  Sendoff Spring – You need rock climb and surf. The wisp is located on the water.

12.  Oreburgh Gate – You need strength and rock smash. Enter from Oreburgh City. Take the north path and go down the stairs. When you enter Floor  of Oreburgh gate, head left.

13.  Route 206 – You need cut. Fly to Oreburgh City. Go north and up the mudslide. Head north and go under the bridge.

14.  Near Eterna Forest Entrance – You need cut. Fly to Eterna City. Do not enter the forest entrance but rather go south from the entrance through the side path.

15.  Old Chateau – You need cut. Dining room on the first floor. Don’t go up the stairs.

16.  Valley Windworks – You need surf. The wisp is behind the fence.

17.  Floaroma Meadow – You need surf. Fly to Floaroma town and head right towards the first bridge. Surf around towards Fuego Ironworks and enter Floaroma Meadow from the rear entrance.

18.  Route 212 – You need cut. Southwest rainy area.

19.  Pastoria City – Inside the Great Marsh. Take the train to area 3 and the wisp is in the left area.

20.  Route 213 – You need rock climb.

21.  Route 222 – You need either surf or rock smash. Start from Sunnyshore city. It will be near the exit from Sunnyshore city onto Route 222.

22.  Lake Valor – You need surf. Grass patch on the bottom right.  

23.  Lake verity – You need surf. Grass patch on the bottom left.  

24.  Pokemon League – southeast part, near the entrance. Do NOT go down the waterfall.

25.  Route 221 – You need surf. The wisp is near the entrance of Pal Park.

26.  Iron Island – Go through iron island and exit. The wisp is on slopes at the exit.

27.  Route 204 – Fly to Floaroma Town and head south. Do not enter the cave.

 

 

After having collecting all the above wisps, Spiritomb will populate at route 209. 5 regular spiritombs, all with HA, will also spawn.

 After catching the last wisp, head to Route 209 to encounter Alpha Spiritomb

 

Notes:

Spoiler

- The last wisp you encounter per region becomes the alpha so prepare accordingly. I set the last wisp per region to be one that you can easily reach without HMs.

This guide doesn't specify but you need all 4 regions done for Spiritomb to appear

Great work with the locations otherwise, I spent soooo much time with the Sinnoh visual bug that makes it look like the path to Mount Coronet is blocked

Edit : 10/11 it appears wisps are still available even if the Pumpking battle is closed

Thanks for letting me know fam! I also got some info to make the details of the route 18 wisps a little clearer so i'll do that
