It's true. when the light pillars is activate, you battle an alpha. Yeah, 12 alphas in total. The alphas are listed on the main post of this thread if you want to check them out

Some other infos : 

You'll never loose the 12x zodiac tablets even after catching the alpha. They'll be destroyed when the event end.
You may use your regular alpha-catching team to catch the new alphas (Spinda will work well).

 

Note that each tablet share its cooldown with another region's tablet, so this scenario can happen :

- CD RESETS

- Pick a tablet K7

- Pick a tablet H113

- Everyone sees a tablet at U3 but you don't

- Pick a tablet S217
- CD RESETS (~20 minutes after last cd reset)

- . . .

I know and have seen Victini in the Abundant Shrine challenge. Can't remember what you have to do to get it though.

Victini is locked to the event, like apparently Raikou was playable last year

Snake Pillar in Sinnoh is in Mt. Coronet (Oreburgh/R208 entrance, Rock Climb required)
