Where to obtain ability patches?

Really want a HA Serperior for my competitive team. Saw some Ability patches on the GTL, so curious to know how people earn them in the game. Thanks in advance!

You can get one per storyline by filling caught OT Pokédex and then talking to one of the assistants in the respective region's professors labs

E: What kind of ability patch you will get depends on your starter selection

Much appreciated everyone! Luckily have 1 region not started, so going to pick the grass starter for that region so I can get the grass ability patch 🙂
