DragoTamer
Introduction Breeding a Hitmontop, Hitmonlee, and Hitmonchan can be confusing. Not only are they all male breeds, evolutions of tyrogue, planning the correct egg moves for each one can be a little strange. Top it off, these breeds can get expensive. If you're spending all that time and money, particularly if you plan on using it for comp or for flexing, you would ideally want the proper egg moves for each breed, and the good news is that it's much easier to put egg moves on these 3 Pokemon than it is for normal breeds. My goal with this guide is to help people who are breeding one of these three Pokemon in order to maximize your moveset and further details will be included below Hitmontop optimal egg moves (4) Spoiler 1. Hi jump kick 2. Mind reader 3. Mach punch 4. Bullet punch **If you pass egg moves to the final breed, they are re-learnable. This means you will have expanded the maximum moveset of your final breed** HM Moves: Rock Smash, Strength Hitmonlee optimal egg moves (4) Spoiler 1. Mach punch 3. Bullet punch 3. Pursuit 4. Rapid Spin Breeding order recommendation: When you’re breeding a Hitmonlee, make the first evolution a Hitmonchan so you can pass down the first three egg moves (Mach punch, Bullet punch, and Pursuit). For the second breed, evolve it into a hitmontop so you can get rapid spin. You can also get pursuit from hitmontop, but you might as well get those 3 egg moves from hitmonchan first to make things easier. When you complete your last breed and end up with a Tyrogue, teach it foresight as that’s a prevo move before evolving. This will give you Hitmonlee’s maximum moveset. When your first egg hatches, evolve tyrogue into Hitmonchan so you can pass down the first three egg moves above (Mach punch, Bullet punch, Pursuit). When your second egg hatches, evolve tyrogue into hitmontop so you can get rapid spin. hitmontop can also give you pursuit, but it's more convenient to get the first 3 egg moves from hitmonchan. When your final egg hatches, make sure Tyrogue learns foresight as that's a PREVO move **If you pass egg moves to the final breed, they are re-learnable. This means you will have expanded the maximum moveset of your final breed** HM Moves: Rock Climb, Rock Smash, Strength Hitmonchan optimal egg moves (3) Spoiler 1. Hi jump kick 2. Mind reader 3. Rapid spin Breeding Order Recommendation: When your first egg hatches, evolve tyrogue into Hitmonlee so you can get both Hi jump kick and Mind reader. When your second egg hatches, evolve tyrogue into hitmontop to get rapid spin. When your final egg hatches, make sure Tyrogue learns foresight as that’s a PREVO move. **If you pass egg moves to the final breed, they are re-learnable. This means you will have expanded the maximum moveset of your final breed** HM Moves: Rock Climb, Rock Smash, Strength Tyrogue PREVO move (1) Spoiler 1. Foresight **PREVO moves are a way to obtain the move via leveling in a PREVO form. If you don't obtain the move in the previous (generally base) form, you can teach it via the move tutor.** HM Moves: Rock Smash, Strength Who gives what egg moves Spoiler Hitmontop gives: 1. Rapid spin 2. Pursuit Hitmonlee gives: 1. Hi Jump Kick 2. Mind reader Hitmonchan gives: 1. Mach punch 2. Bullet Punch 3. Pursuit How to evolve Tyrogue into its respective evolutions Spoiler They all evolve at level 20. Hitmontop: While Tyrogue is at level 19, the attack stat must be EQUAL to the defense stat. Hitmonlee: While Tyrogue is at level 19, the attack stat must be HIGHER than the defense stat Hitmonchan: While tyrogue is at level 19, the attack stat must be LOWER than the defense stat If you want to ensure that the attack stat or the defense stat is higher, you can focus on ev training while leveling the pokemon up. Although I mentioned level 19 above, it can be any level as long as the stats are set in the right way before you evolve Tyrogue. The easiest way to ensure that the stats are the way you want them by level 19 is to use EV items such as protein and iron. LucasLyn5
Nice and straight to the point. Only thing I could see missing is a small section on how to best make sure the stats line up with what evolution you're looking for. Great guide! Keep it up 😄 ❤️ DragoTamer 1 Link to comment
