- VOW DRAFT LEAGUE -

 

Introducing the first iteration of the VOW Draft League hosted by DrewQ & Hymothy. The premise behind draft league matches is simple: conceptualize and design six Pokémon from your full team to beat every variation of your opponent’s team of 12 Pokémon. Teams will take turns drafting a Pokemon of their choosing until every team has a full 12. Each team’s draft is publicly available throughout the season, so the game becomes about outsmarting your opponent in innovative ways to catch them off guard and leave them with no answers for your Pokémon. Once a Pokémon is drafted by a team, it becomes unavailable to the other teams. This draft league’s format will consist of teams of 2 players that each battle weekly. For example, a matchup could be Team A (Sargeste & DrewQ) vs Team B (NecasInTrouble & Hymothy), giving us 2 battles per team. 

 

- GROUP STAGE -

 

The group stage will be round-robin format over 3 weeks, giving each team a total of 6 battles. 3 points will be awarded for a win, 1 for a tie, and 0 for a loss. Any necessary tiebreakers at the end of the group stage will be decided by a BO3. No other tiebreaking procedures will be considered outside of total points. 

 

- PLAYOFFS -

 

Playoffs will consist of the top 2 teams of each group. First Place of Group A vs Second Place of Group B, etc. Playoff matchups will all be BO3. 

 

- SIGNUPS & TIME -

 

There will be 16 teams in the VOW Draft league split into 4 groups, giving us 32 possible player signups. Signups close on Saturday, 6/22 @ 23:59 UTC. The draft will commence the next day at 19:00 UTC, pending availability. Only the first 16 team signups will be accepted. Please post all signups in #draft-league-signups.
