Making blocked players invisible

FurretTails

Question

Currently blocking players only prevents you from seeing messages, trades, battles, etc. they try to actively send to you. But this doesn't prevent you from seeing them or them seeing you which can still allow the more immature toxic players to doing things in the overworld such as following others around, actively going out of their way to server hop to you, showing up to shared team events with intent to harass, etc. etc. While you can file reports on things; to an extent it feels like some of these situations could easily be circumvented with a change to the blocking system. Unfortunately not all drama can be avoided; but active harassment from players can demotivate or deter folks from enjoying the game over time.

I'd like to suggest blocking to fully (or with the option) to make blocked players invisible. Whether that's making the blocked player invisible to you, or making both parties invisible to each other. I feel it would allow users to more easily engage with content without interference from the more toxic players. I feel the added feature could also help prevent conflict escalation, allowing players to navigate spaces comfortably without the added harassment that can still occur within the overworld.

just move to a different channel, make team events private and ignore them, they just want your attention and you're clearly giving them your attention.

Terrible take, sorry.

+1 on this.
I've had a few people harass me, Although submitting tickets about it, calling it out, moving channel etc.
They'd still follow me around and slander my name on channel/global chat.

Would love not being able to see them
Well... would love them removed from the game but we can't have it all huehue
Good suggestion, Furret 🤗

this was mentioned in the post as to why moving channels doesn't work since toxic folks have actively searched out the channel folks are on to harass them. the suggestion isn't just due to personal experience but as someone who has had to watch/hear about it happen to multiple people.
