Legendary POKEMON Rights of Use

Question

Suggest that Darkrai be made permanent like Shaymin.
Raid battle is very difficult, but Darkrai's usage is only for 1 hour, it's not cost effective.
If you think Darkrai is too powerful, you can disable PVP and bind accounts to use it.
For example, you can disable trading like the gift pokemon.

You can do the same with Shaymin's sky type, just disable PVP and trading.
The same goes for the other legendary POKEMON.

Games shouldn't be so painful!

Kyu already said no and closed the other thread with 0 justification. They made a terrible legendary system and are gonna force it on us wether we want it or not. We are not allowed to give feedback, it is never taken seriously. Every suggestion thread on here is ignored and even if the playerbase dislikes something it has never mattered because it sure feels like we are frequently ignored. But hey, we should be THANKFUL to them...no complaining allowed on pokemmo. Lol.

I think they should get rid of and reimplement king of the hill legends like arceus, mew two, Lugia, rayquazza, and keldeo.  They are normally farmed and gate kept by teams making them a broken mechanic.

Honestly, I say just get rid of the KOTH Legendarys in general and make all of them orbs. I fully agree with this suggestion. The amount of drama over the KOTH Legendarys is just insane.

The narrative about "I'm the dev and I decide anything over everything" won't keep up the more this game gets popular over time. They will revert this choice about legendaries, it's just a matter of time.

And this post it's easily one of the most upvoted of all time. They can't and won't ignore the attention this post received, they can't even shut it down anymore bcs it reached so many ppl.

Actually, have you quit over not having darkrai? Do you think anyone quits over this? But go ahead and quit, for sure it will be impactful in any way shape or form.

Not even close, plus thats irrelevant, there are suggestions with hundreds of upvotes that never got looked at.

They can, but if they do that, people will create more, and keep on flooding, while they could keep all the trash collected in a single thread.

Lol the devs could replace every Pokemon with Digimon and the game population would remain the same or keep growing. This legendary thing isn't even in the top 5 of worst decisions they have made.

It is the worst, and btw making examples so out of touch with reality doesn't make sense, internet needs to be studied.

You started playing in 2023, right? I doubt you have any idea of the other stuff the devs did in the past for contrast. Just reducing everyone's money to 200k alone far outdoes being given a thing we weren't going to get ever albeit in a limited manner.

Blame the posh girl at 5 island for that, not devs though!!!

U take anything from granted, and ur saying that an exploit to farm money is equal to add pokemons. The devs are threating 15 years old pokemons as something never seen before.... Keep glazing them for sure it's healthy for the game and the playerbase itself. I really wonder why the most toxic ones are always really old players. U don't want anything to change or to be added to the game and it shows.
Here it is a small reality check for u:
The devs already fucked up the balacing of the game 2 years ago when they started to add HA, starting with the most broken and useful ones, this lead to a bad scaling of difficulty and adaptation for EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING, pvp had no time to adapt with a proper scaling curve, same goes for pve. Now they are about the narrative "we don't wanna run out of content", U ALREADY DID, bcs in what world BEEDRIL DOESN'T HAVE SNIPER YET.

The only way to fix is to release all the missing HA at once, and hope for the best.

I don't think anyone is being particularly toxic or is glazing the devs. I just think that old players have been here long enough to understand better the thinking process of the devs and how they want to balance the game. If you've been here long enough you've probably seen your share of complaints on forums, heck we all probably did complaint at some point in time, whether we were right or not. The point is, and I think what Suigins here is trying to say is after all these years the game is still doing fine player-wise, at least it certainly has gotten bigger since I started playing almost 9 years ago and most likely the same for that old fart. Sometimes, the devs listened to our complaints sometimes they didn't, sometimes we were right sometimes we weren't. Ultimately, they have the final word, and so far there has never been a massive exodius as a result of their decisions. Now I'm not a huge fan of the Darkrai orb myself but I also understand where it's coming from. Releasing legendaries with uber-like qualities pose threats to the balance of the game. I don't believe the slow release of HA or few gen 9 mechanic update has disrupted the balance of the game permanently. Obviously some decisions are questionable (Sharpness Gallade) and we can debate whether or not the priority in which HA were release was done poorly but arguably the slow release of new stuff allowed for the game to adapt without just breaking altogether. The devs were most likely never gonna give you Darkrai at all before they came up with the temporary orb feature. They came up with a feature that would allow to have access to it without breaking their game too much

I've been playing for a year and half, and it's a reasonable amount of time, I developed some kind of degree of knowledge about this game.

We can agree that they released the most broken and useful HA for a reason, but there are some USELESS HA that haven't been released like SNIPER Beedrill, that still after 2 years since the introduction of HA haven't been added yet. This raises concerns about how the devs manage their mental releasing map road, bcs I don't think at this point in time we need an USELESS uber pokemon, when there are many more things that could be added, like a simple new HA with an alpha horde, instead of a new brand mechanic that took 10 months to develop, WITHOUT NEW CONTENT MEANWHILE TO KEEP PLAYERS ENGAGED.

Players come and go, and if the game "got popular" doesn't add any value, bcs what we must look at is the average time new players spend in the game since their first spawn, and how much time the spent in total idk, in the first 6 months? Ppl mostly play this game bcs of their childhood feelings, and once the players clear the regions, they aren't likely to stay and grinding for endgame. It's what a specific kind of player does, not the average player.

The game didn't adapt at all, there are important HA, like Slowbro and Slowking, Zangoose, Alakazam, Gothitelle, Mienshao, Tangrowth, Heracross and much more, that would make pvp really interesting, but god knows when we'll ever get them.

The game is stale, they can just make monthly updates with a single HA released and I would be happy.

Pvp should have patch notes, biweekly or monthly to shift the meta when it becomes too annoying for certain mechanics, this is what all modern games does, League of Legends, Valorant, Fortnite, any single modern game.

the fact you think regen HA on those would make the game interesting already shows that you lack your "degree" of knowledge.

The game is stale,

How do I break this down for you, its been stale since 2012, this dev team is far from the most competent dev team youll find, and they always only fed bread crumbs to the playerbase, they never provided any actual good content, even Hoenn isnt complete yet. With that said, they would only ever start to polish things up if there was any other competitor on the same market of them that was good, and honestly there just isnt, they somehow manage to all be worst. People most stick around due to making some friends, nostalgia and maybe some enjoy the different competitive scene we have compared to the smogon tiers.

No it shouldnt, the meta would never settle and there wouldnt be any accurate tools to measure what is right or wrong in that small amount of time, for lower tiers even monthly usage is a bit ass and it showcases little to nothing. I do agree however and Ive said this a lot in the past that TC needs to start being more in control of it instead of the devs, and that maybe they should also be forced to showcase public votings etc.

Cant compare to a game like league either which has millions of game samples in 2 weeks and a way more complex system to determine what is balanced or broken, aswell as proper elo system to determine who actually understands the game and can contribute, which pokeMMO lacks, any monkey hits top100 here since the community is pretty bad.

I also dont agree here, you could just do like me, login, do some pvp, log out, ignore what you dont enjoy, turn a blind eye to it, since well, sorry to burst your bubble, nor you nor anyone will ever be heard. And that ubers tier thing was decided shortly after Unova introduction if you care to search about it.

I'm not being toxic or glazing, I'm just giving you a reality check since you're so enthusiastically sure about the devs changing this to accomodate you when they are as stubborn as mules and past history proves that.

It's just how it works, as time pass, ppl change, and so they will sooner or later. 10 years is nothing, we'll see
