Shadow Posted Tuesday at 09:54 AM Posted Tuesday at 09:54 AM Making a 2nd leaderboard would just cause teams to split in order to get the first place in said leaderboard. It would not reduce competition but it would increase it, as you would have 2 chances instead of one. Â Also, how can said leaderboard "judge" if you are in vacation or not?

Rache Posted Tuesday at 01:43 PM Posted Tuesday at 01:43 PM If noobs are beating nerds, something has gone very wrong. Â I'll give you a hint though, Wigglytuff is good for this event because it's a "bad" mon. It was given a moveset that allows it to achieve a lot of KOs because it requires you to plan around its flaws to reach its full potential, whereas the strongest mons contribute less value in exchange for their ease of use. The goal for this year's event balancing was to reward groups skilled enough to run as many "bad" mons and awkward damaging moves (Copycat etc) as possible. Â No separate leaderboard, you'll just have to figure out the best team composition and play it well if you want the shiny hood. BrokenJoker, Toritorino, reenastorm and 6 others 7 1 1

I've done the event multiple times. All you need is a perfect run and it CAN be done if time and focus is invested with a decent amount of luck. There was a cap on the points last year and whomever reached it first wins the shiny nian hood and I might be wrong but afaik 3 teams reached the cap last year. Edit: The best way to do it will be by yourself. 4 alts. Continuous Trial and error / restart until you know the exact method. Then banking on that method with luck. Edited Tuesday at 03:03 PM by Goku YourAngst and Doctor 1 1

MightyMichele Posted Tuesday at 04:49 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:49 PM Dear @Rache,  I've been following this discussion about the competitive nature of the Abundant Shrine event, particularly the challenges casual players face when competing against highly coordinated teams. To offer a more balanced and enjoyable experience for all participants, I'd like to see an adjustment:   >>> Two Matchmaking Ladders for Abundant Shrine: Instead of allowing friends to team up freely, introduce two separate matchmaking ladders:      1. Coordinated Teams Ladder â Players who want to enter with pre-made teams can do so, allowing them to optimize strategies and aim for high scores.     2. Random Matchmaking Ladder â Players will be paired randomly through a matchmaker, ensuring a more casual, spontaneous experience.   >>> Why This Change?  Fairness & Accessibility By separating the competition, casual players won't be at a severe disadvantage against pre-coordinated teams.   More Fun & Casual Wins Randomly sorted teams will lead to more dynamic gameplay, preventing "meta-dominance" while still allowing competitive players to push their limits.   Balanced Reward Distribution With two ladders, players in both categories would have a fair chance at exclusive rewards. The top players in each ladder could receive separate, appropriately balanced prizes.   This way, I hope everyone may enjoy the event on their own terms, whether theyâre coordinated teams or casual. What an excitement would be become casual and claim Shiny Nian!  I hope you like my ideas!   đ,  MightyMicheleÂ

Making 2 leaderboards cuz of chinese playera would only cause controversy and is considered a form of discrimination towards Chinese players, you have a lot of pokemon in the Nian instance, you could try something new. You're not a noob, there's no need to say bad things to yourself, it's just a game.  With love, Klokt. Had they decided not to opt for the event this year, the majority in the top would still have been chinese players. That's just how it is. If numbers maded things like you think it is, Brazil should be giant on league of legends scenario, and it is not the case  you are right that statistically will be more chinese on leaderboards, for having more on the game, but the reason of them being top 10 or top 1 is not just for numbers, a group of 4 americans, mexicams, brazillians, etc can take top 1 if they get the right plan and skill and effort, and no ammount of players of their community will change that  The thing is: Culturally, chinese is more locked in online games, they were one of the first to embrace gaming as a legitimate sport, currently dominating many different competitive games  proof of the cultural argument, is specific countrys being stronger on specific games, like Brazil with FPS, Japan with fighting games, and goes on   All that said, Michelle suggestion on linked group separated from random groups is interesting, but i dont know how easily it can be bypassed
