Introduction

PokeMMO Shiny Wars is a competition between groups of players that form teams, in order to showcase their dedication to a style of play that used to have a less competitive nature, shiny hunting. This event will allow for a different kind of competition within the game, on an official level.
 

Details

With the feedback from the community regarding the last event some adjustments were made, notable ones were:

Change to the length of the event, as well as implementations of other bonuses and restrictions that will contribute to more variety and team effort.

This Shiny War will include a Unique Species Bonus where teams will get Bonus points for each unique evolution line caught during the event, as well as a Duplicate penalty applying to each individual participant.

Registration Rules

  • This event will be capped at 150 teams, thus it's recommended you organise your team quickly and register as quickly as possible.

  • If you're unable to find a team and wish to participate you can use this thread:  LF Teammates to find teammates.

  • The sign ups for the event will open around 1 week before the event starts 02/07/2025 - 00:00 UTC+0 and will last until the 09/07/2025 - 00:00 UTC+0 - we will also announce it when the time comes.

  • All teams must be registered via the Registration Thread prior to the event starting (we will announce on the Registration thread when Registrations start and when they close).

  • All team registrations must include a Team Name and elect a member of their team to be the team leader (Team names must follow Forum rules).

  • All teams must include at least 25 players, but no more than 30. (You do not need to be in the same in-game team as your teammates for this event).

  • Players can only participate in this event with 1 character. Anyone found to be breaching this will be DQ'd from this event & future events too.

 

Event Rules

  • All OT shiny Pokémon caught by registered participants within the event period will be recorded by staff after the event concludes. You do not need to manually submit them.

  • You must keep your shiny Pokémon until the results are announced for them to be counted. If the Pokémon are not on your registered character, we will not be able to verify them. DO NOT SELL YOUR SHINIES - THEY WILL NOT COUNT TOWARDS YOUR TEAMS SCORE.

  • Each Pokémon within an evolution line will be worth the same number of points, you can find this list below.

  • Shinies bred from shiny parents are not valid entries, but shinies bred from non-shiny parents will be counted. We can tell the difference between them so DO NOT BREED YOUR SHINIES, THIS WILL MAKE THEM INVALID ENTRIES.

  • In the case of a point tie, there will be a "sudden death" race. If this occurs, whichever team involved in the tie breaker that obtains the most points in 48 hours after the announcement will be crowned the winner.

  • Shiny Pokémon obtained from Mysterious Balls are valid for the main event, but will not be valid for a sudden death victory.

  •  Vous devez conserver vos Pokémons chromatiques jusqu'à l'annonce des résultats pour qu'ils soient comptabilisés. Si les Pokémon ne figurent pas sur votre personnage enregistré, nous ne pourrons pas les vérifier.

  •  Les Pokémons au sein d'une même lignée d'évolution vaudront le même nombre de points, vous pouvez retrouver cette liste ci-dessous.

  •  Les chromatiques issus de la reproduction de parents chromatiques ne sont pas des inscriptions valides, mais les chromatiques issus de la reproduction de parents non chromatiques seront comptés. Nous pouvons faire la différence entre eux.

  •  En cas d'égalité de points, il y aura une course "mort subite". Si cela se produit, l'équipe impliquée encore en course qui obtiendra le plus de points dans les 48 heures suivant l'annonce sera couronnée gagnante.

  •  Les Pokémons obtenus grâce aux Balls Mystérieuses sont valables pour l'événement principal, mais ne seront pas valables pour une victoire par mort subite.

Regeln des Events

 

  • Alle shiny Pokémon mit eigenem OT, die von angemeldeten Teilnehmern während des Eventzeitraums gefangen werden, werden von den Organisatoren nach Beendigung des Events aufgezeichnet. Ihr müsst sie nicht selber einreichen. 

  • Ihr müsst eure shiny Pokémon bis zur Bekanntgabe der Ergebnisse behalten, damit sie gezählt werden können. Wenn die Pokémon nicht auf Ihrem angemeldeten Charakter sind, können wir sie nicht überprüfen. 

  • Jedes Pokémon einer Evolutionslinie ist die gleiche Anzahl von Punkten wert, diese Liste findest du unten. Shinies, die von shiny Eltern gezüchtet wurden, sind keine gültigen Kandidaten, aber Shinies, die von nicht shiny Eltern gezüchtet wurden, werden gezählt. Wir können den Unterschied zwischen beidem erkennen. 

  • Bei Punktegleichstand findet eine Entscheidung nach dem K.o.-System statt. In diesem Fall wird das Team, das innerhalb von 48 Stunden nach der Bekanntgabe des Gleichstands die meisten Punkte erzielt, zum Sieger gekürt.

Normas del Evento

  • Todas as capturas de Pokemons shiny com OT de participantes registrados dentro do período do evento serão registradas pela Staff após a o término do evento. Não será necessário enviá-los para a Staff ou nos comunicar sobre os shinies capturados.

  • Você deve manter o seu Pokemon shiny no seu personagem até os resultados serem anunciados para que eles sejam considerados. Caso o Pokemon não esteja no seu personagem registrado no evento, ele não será registrado.

  • Pokemons de uma mesma linha de evolução valerão o mesmo número de pontos. Você pode verificar na lista abaixo.

  • Shinies breedados de parentes shiny não serão válidos no evento. Shinies breedados de parentes não-shiny serão válidos. Nós sabemos a diferença entre eles, não tente enganar a Staff.

Zasady Wydarzenia

 

  • Wszystkie Błyszczące (shiny) Pokemony złapane przez zarejestrowanych graczy w czase trwania wydarzenia będą zarejestrowane przez Personel Gry po zakończeniu wydarzenia. Nie musicie wysyłać ich ręcznie.

  • Musicie zatrzymać swoje Błyszczące Pokemony aż do ogłoszenia wyników, by liczyły się w rywalizacji. Jeśli pokemon nie znajduje się na Twojej zarejestrowanej postaci, nie będziemy go weryfikować.

  • Każdy Pokemon z linii ewolucyjnej będzie warty tyle samo punktów, możesz sprawdzić listę poniżej.

Secret Shiny will count as +10 Bonus Points

Safari catch will count as +5 Bonus Points

Egg hatch will count as 20 Points OR the species Tiered value, whichever is higher.

Along with the above, we've also implemented a new bonus. The Unique Species bonus!

Unique species bonus = gives +5 Bonus Points for each unique evolution line shiny pokemon the team caught as a whole.

Example:

PRK catches a shiny Gible (Tier 5) - this will be worth 3 points for the Tier 5, but also the team will get +5 points as it's the first time the team have caught a Gible.

then if Enzo catches a shiny Gabite, this will only be worth 3 points for tier 5, as the unique species bonus will have already be claimed for this species line.

 

Duplicate Penalty = duplicate shinies from the same evolution line caught by individual participants of the team will be worth 1 point only. Except for Shiny Alphas, duplicates of those will be worth 25 points.

Example:

PRK caught 5 shiny Rattata & 1 Raticate during Shiny Wars (Tier 6) - only the first Rattata will be worth 2 points (Tier 6) as it's the first one caught. The other 4 Rattata & the Raticate will only be worth 1 point each as these will be duplicate shinies.

Prize details

 

  • The winning team's registered participants will all receive the 1st place prize vanity.

  • The single player with the most points gathered by themselves for the duration of the event will receive the "MVP Prize", the 1st place prize vanity as well, unless they were a part of the winning team, in which case they will be awarded Reward Points instead.

    I have a curious question about duplicate bonus.

    "The other 4 Rattata & the Raticate will only be worth 1 point each as these will be duplicate shinies."

    Why raticate is 1 point too if example, you already completed the unique species bonus but repeat 4 more rattatas???. I think if you complete the evolutive shiny pokemon line like the example you posted referring "Shiny Gible and Shiny Gabite" I think if you already catch both of them and then try to get another Gible after the 3rd one in this case it cost 1 point I think it make more sense! is it not?

    I'm just asking this because the Unique specie bonus allow you to catch shiny gible and gabite and that doesn't affect the shiny gabite points, that one cost according to the tier points.

    BTW Everything looks awesome this year. LFGGGGGGGGG

    Excited for this official shiny war! One question though. Could something be done about the Tier points of the Blitzle line?

    It's currently marked as Tier 6, presuming because of the supposed guarantee horde listed in the pokedex. However, this horde is bugged and it's just another Watchog guarantee x5. The next best way to catch the Blitzle is the 50/50 split x3 horde in Route 3. I have word from customer support that confirms the horde does not work. It would be great if the value of this shiny can be adjusted accordingly. Thank you to all of the staff for putting in the work to make this event happen!

    All pokemon from the same evolution line are the "same".

    If you get unique species bonus in the team for gible, gabite or garchomp, then that gible evolution line has already gotten that bonus and any further gible, gabite or garchomp wont get it for that team after.

    Similarly to the duplicate clause, catching a shiny rattata gives full points once, then every other rattata or raticate shiny that player gets after is worth 1 point only.

    Difference between those 2 are that unique species bonus counts for the whole team and once per unique evolution line, while duplicate clause applied separately to each individial participant.

    So:

    Every participant of the team can get a shiny rattata for full points, but only the first one gets unique species bonus. And any player that catches multiple rattata's or raticates gets affected by the duplicate clause.

    This bug with the horde will be fixed for the next game update, however we aren't sure when that will be so instead of changing it in the tier list we will be leaving it in there as a precaution for now. But thank you for the feedback!
