possibly returning?

Been rolling around the idea of getting a 3ds for pokemon, also considering steamdeck. Was also considering molding an old gba for the sake of playing firered again.

I saw this can play great on steamdeck, which means I'm almost entirely excluding the initial idea of a 3ds now.

That all being said, if there is anyone who has started playing recently that sees this and would like to share their experience so far, I'd like to hear ya.

And just a similar specific question for anyone who has played this for awhile, how would you describe getting to "endgame", and what it has been like so far.
