Overmodding even the suggestionthread concerning overmoderating. I mean. Several comments that were on topic and breaking no rules is now gone.

Seems rather clear to me that the developers of this game has hired staff with 1 job in mind. Make it appear that everything is perfect and community always want the same thing as the staff/developers does.

Propaganda trying to alter the view of a community by simply removing criticism whenever discovered. It only make the matter worse as the rest of the community will also start to wonder what is going on.

I guess this is no matter for me to get involved with since I dont even play the game anymore. I also guess this post will soon enough be hidden as well but at least you can still see hidden posts so I will post it anyway.

Edit. No I was not referring to my own comment concerning number of fingers that would be pointing back at the one pointing. Not that I feel it needed to be removed anyway.

The only thing mods should do is block nudes, ban those who post extremely racial comments, and when fights get too violent. A forum is usually self moderated unless it needs to be moderated. Over moderation is too much moderation and by doing so you have an unhealthy relationship between those who work for the game and those who play or participate in the game. I do agree that moderators should be treated with respect but if they don't respect people's opinions it's very hard to do so.

This. I remember when Gizmo was making cancer jokes after someone said their friend had cancer and wanted a shiny magikarp, all screenshots of them that got posted on the forums were removed.

 

If you don't want people thinking your administrators and staff make cancer jokes, ask your administrators and staff to not make cancer jokes.

The problem with 'shitposting' is made fairly clear with the name given to it.

 

To quote Wikipedia;

• They don't add anything useful to the discussion

• They reflect badly on the rest of the forum, our users, the community, and have potential to discourage new users from joining the forum.

Shitposts are very literally a waste of space, and are therefore not something we want on the forums.

If you don't have anything of value to say, then it's not worth posting - it's as simple as that.

I think they use "nazi" as an insult, not for jokes.

Make a subforum where people can make threads about whatever they want (within CoC restrictions, so no porn n stuff) and then they are allowed to wander in whatever direction happens.  If OP wants a structured discussion then they post in OT, in NT anything goes.

I've been on other forums before where people need to "opt in" to a subforum like this. Basically it won't up your post count and you can post what you like within the ToC. This means the general public won't even know about it, only the people who opt in, so it keeps everyone happy. Could be done by PMing a moderator to add them to the subforum or something.
