These will be invite only, invites can be won by winning a Pokedaily tournament for the respective tier. People who come 2nd in each daily will win a reserve invite. Once the invite holders have confirmed their place in the Masters any spare spots will be opened up to reserve invite holders, it will be first come first served. Prizes are donated by the community and by the hosts. We agreed someone who won a doubles tourney should not receive a masters invite that will be held in singles format. Th original Pokedaily masters had a single bracket and a lower bracket with doubbles, this was changed though because of some bugs that accured in doubbles. You culd make it this format and then play some doubbles anyway. Personally I'm probably not really going to participate (though I like the intiative) but something I personally loved about Pokedaily was that I could play different tiers everyday as I had most fun playing different metas. The OU singles players just seem to out number the ou doubles player, consequentially: Singles are far more popular. My fear is that we do doubles in the loser bracket and it's filled with people who do not actually play doubles. Edit: We plan to host the masters in a singles format, which is why we feel doubles would not fit well except for maybe on a Thursdays, where the tourneys do not earn you an entry to the Masters Edit 2:We appreciate the constructive criticism. ^_^ Link to comment
Noad Posted June 26, 2014 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Personally I don't want to host doubles in any tier, it's glitchy and we can see from the last official doubles there were a lot of issues with it. When the update comes, if doubles is fixed then sure I wouldn't mind including it. This is my own personal opinion however, I cant speak for Jay or Archi. I think a good compromise would be to host a UU doubles on the Wednesday as a gimmick. Other than that I feel its best to stick to 6v6 singles and continue that format in the "Masters" that we will host. Link to comment

Just my opinion, but I'd like to see the masters to take place every month because there can have way too much happened inside of 3 months (metagame completely went upside down because of an update, lol, people quit, etc.) so those could just be 8 man Double eliminations like they were, only exception that they all could happen in one day so the "masters" wont take like 10% off from the whole month's schedule. Obviously, the prizes wouldn't need to be that big but that's not the purpose of these anyways. The masters of each month could have like a later tournament to decide who was the best or something. Either way, very nice to see this to get going again. Link to comment
