Registration Method: Post your IGN in this thread once registration has occurred. I will allow two sign ups per forum account, given they are in different posts. Test posting in this thread will result in being unable to participate in the tournament. Please only sign up players who have asked you to in order to prevent any confusion the day of the tournament. Registration is based on Forum Time. Registration will be first come, first serve.

If you are on the bracket for this tournament and cannot attend please send me a PM, or post in the thread letting me know you cannot make it, this lessens the time it takes for signs ups the day of the tournament. Thanks in advance.

Notes:

• Do not AFK Timeout your opponent unless your referee has stated you may.
• Disconnecting during a match when result in a DQ.
• Do not block your opponents, or the Staff running the Event. If there is evidence of this and disregarding staff requesting you to unblock said individuals you will be DQ'd.
• Volpi Clause (requesting to change channels for your matches) will not be allowed for this tournament. Entrants are encouraged to uncheck "Render Overworld in Battle". (Menu -> Settings -> Video).
• Tournament Mode must be used for all duels.
• Once your match is called you will have 10 minutes to report to the table. A 5 minute warning will be given to you via whisper if you are not at the table. Whispering your ref with a valid reason, which will then be discussed with the host and other referees can result in a slight addition of time but is not promised. 
• Due to a recent post by Desu (link), it has been decided that any occurrences of the 'Battle Freeze' bug will result in a DQ; This is because it is actively avoidable when following the necessary steps and slows down the pace of a tournament. Please be read the post before participating and be sure to follow what is said to avoid this situation happening to you.
• Do not start the battle until told by the referee that it is okay to do so. The referee will ask that you link your team via whisper before allowing the match to begin.

Wow, this looks like so much fun. I may rise from my grave to play, even. I'd like to know why it's not permitted to use Pokemon that aren't your OT, however. I understand it would ruin the fun if people just bought everything they needed, and it kind of defeats the premise of the tournament. Might it be possible, though, to extend the allowance of trainer tags you can use to say +1, however (that is to say that you can user the OT of only one other than yourself)? That way, if you team up as pals, you can help each other out a bit! I think that adds a lot to the spirit of "old times" for me a lot, anyway (had to go back to this part mid-post, Emily commented to me that she already said this! haha). I understand it's a tad exploitable however (in that you can enslave or buy someone's services specifically). Anyways, looks really good. Glad to see something like this.

The rules have been adjusted slightly to allow for a bit of teamwork in preparing~ At least 4/6 Pokemon used in each battle must be OT. (Was 6/6 previously)

 

With that said, NPC traded Pokemon are now on the banlist~ They can all be caught elsewhere in the wild, whether as normal encounters or in swarms. It's up to players to find a good one rather than trade an NPC for one that's guaranteed to be usable if the nature is good.
