When I first started this game in 2013 it was such a different time, lucky egg trading was the meta and vanitys? Who cares about vanitys? Shiny pokemon were everything and to me that shiny was phanpy. I hunted and searched for one for years until finally buying one off of a friend named Easyrole in 2014 who sold it to me for 7M. Which was all I had at the time. It may seem like a lot for a phanpy, but there simply was none, I spent countless hours searching old forum posts and found a couple people who had found them but they either evolved them or wanted to keep them. I even found one guy who had 2 OT phanpys found on the same day, but would not part with them.

 

With that being said, this is kind of bitter sweet for me as I feel it's the end of my era, and what I mean by that is sometime in 2019 I set out to buy a full box of shiny phanpys because it's my favorite pokemon. It was insanely slow going because the only spot you could really find them was canyon entrance so they were far and few between for years, until Johto came out. I collected 51 before Johto all ranging from 2m-4m and when Johto hit I was able to get to 59 in the first couple weeks. I could have bought the 60th one anytime but I wanted it to be my OT, and despite already having a shiny phanpy OT I wanted another. So I hunted and today I found it.

 

None of the Phanpy's I own are unknown OT besides one (Thank you Pibb for the gift) I owe a great thanks to the many people who have gifted me a phanpy over the years for christmas/birthdays and I appreciate each and every one of you for indulging me in my weird quest for a pokemon I love. Shoutout to Awkways for gifting me several phanpys, as well as Fry, Nuz and dreamy.

 

My ultimate end game goal in a game I love is now finished.

 

 

 

This Phanpy will be getting every particle and ribbon I can possibly throw at it.
