Syrei
Figured I'd post a preview of my custom punk mod. Which I did thanks to this tutorial. It's about 50% complete as I still have the male trainer to do. What do you guys think? http://i47.tinypic.com/6dyf0h.jpg Link to comment

I guess you have no problems editing back sprites in battle, then. I can't figure out what's the matter with the Navigate stuff in my case. I really want to make my own full customization. This is what I got, by the way: http://oi47.tinypic.com/2nrzdlg.jpg And this is what I get after clicking Navigate: http://oi50.tinypic.com/2nsxm69.jpg Link to comment

Yeah I had no problem with my backsprites once I figured out my palette issue. I not sure what the problem is with yours as I've never encountered it. Some idea is it could be a corrupted ROM (less likely since you edited the overworld sprites) or you could have a corrupted nse2.1/ missing some dll files. Have you tried re-downloading the program? I download it near 10 times yesterday, but when I read your answer I tried once time again and... Voilá! The program working fine as it should do! I don't know what the problem was about, and I really don't care. I will make a badass customization from now lol I'll post my updates as well as I found the time between studies. Thanks you, Syrei :) InnerMobius 1 Link to comment
WolfSpirit
OMG I managed to destroy edit my first sprite!!!! I changed Caterpie into a blue abomination (Just palette editing) And... I can't believe I actually managed to do as such. I shall now change all the pokemon. And by the time I'm finished that graphics update patch will be done, rendering it useless. lol But it's okay. I know with Linux you could run NSE with a program called Wine, you may be able to find an alternative to Wine for macs on google though. Link to comment
WolfSpirit
Okay. I can't help but ask. How would a person change the palette of the pokemon following? I'm guessing it's a patch for the HG/SS rom but the NSE doesn't patch the DS games. Link to comment

I've tried to do this using a program called Tinke but Heart Gold is very complex and thus it is extremely hard to navigate. I was only ripping sprites so it wasn't too bad but in all honesty I was lucky because I sort of stumbled across the sprite I was looking for.I did however find a couple different guides for DS rom hacking and a Pokemon Editing tool so you could try those. http://gbatemp.net/threads/the-ultimate-nintendo-ds-rom-hacking-guide.291274/ http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=218024 WolfSpirit 1 Link to comment

As soon as I get a chance i'm going to see if I can sort these out. I probably shouldn't be trying to delve into something more complex then what I'm already attempting to learn. but why not. lol Link to comment
InnerMobius
Nice work :D Just a pointer though: I think you used a shade of brown in his hair that the client changes into blue for your character, it would look better if you made it black. :P Link to comment
Killjoy
I made the Purple straps that he has as being the chosen colour, I didnt follow your tut completely but meh xD Link to comment

Killjoy
I did it again, FOllowing your rules this time. I have one question though, Can we somehow change the colours in the pallet so we can get a better image of the character we want? EDIT - My character colour is black, As you can see by the straps. EDITEDIT - Stevens trousers match his jacket xD Link to comment

Killjoy
Thank you so much for this! Its awesome :D I finally made a great Steven :3 The Green parts change depending on colour, Black doesnt look too good though :P Any chance of a backsprite tut? I might make a patch with this :P (The only hard parts are the running, biking and sprites like that, I hope) Link to comment
InnerMobius
Backsprites aren't much different either, instead just go to NSE2.X, click Navigate, Pokemon, BPRE, and then backsprites are in there. Follow the same instructions here, but with only two colors that change instead of 3 :P EDIT: I put these instructions in the first post now at the bottom. :D Link to comment

O.o And go for it lmao, I already tried making her, but there aren't enough colors for her (you'll find her scarf is red and skirt is pink, it doesn't work out) Link to comment
Killjoy
No, Cheryl. The green lady who accompanies you in the Eterna Forest :D http://bulbapedia.bu...net/wiki/Cheryl Link to comment

The green lady who accompanies you in the Eterna Forest :D http://bulbapedia.bu...net/wiki/Cheryl Oh, yeah I haven't played DPP since... Sopuguure year in High School? :D So a long time ago. That still might be difficult though with the color changes, she has so many shades of green and the client will only change two colors per backsprite Link to comment
