I wouldn't say impossible since we could maybe get the mon without the region itself. the devs aren't fully closed to the idea of introducing fairy type wich would most likely require the gen6 rom (for leagal reason) it would allow many more thing to be possible such has new move and maybe new pokemon 

I understand the difficulties but it would still be awesome if gen 6 pokes were introduced! I'm gonna live with high hopes

I know some pokemon of gen4 are still missing but I'm just curious as if we will ever be able to play x and y, even if it takes time.
