I can't think of any ideas that are completely separate from the game becoming easy, but many good things stem from the game being easier:  More people sticking with the game after beating the Elite Four, more people sticking with the game could lead to even more people knowing about the game, and all those extra people could help speed along the progress of the game.  Also, since I forgot about curse being a ghost type move, just assume I said what type curse used to be.

     

    Odor sleuth can't be learned by Parasect (which is the Pokemon I was using when I came up with this idea), therefore it's risky to use a couple turns changing pokemon and using it

  2. the only thing i can see that could be bad about this is possibly making it easier/possible to bot. This one guy is the only thing that isn't completely the same every time around, so other than this the rest of breeding could be easily programmed into a macro.

    My other question is... Why would anyone spend the time to make a bot that hatches eggs?  The time spent programming or going through tons of add ridden websites with viruses seems like a huge hassle compared to actually playing the game

  3. Secenario:  EV training 3 pokemon at a time with my two Exp Shares.  (where two have the shares and one is obviously directly in the battle).

     

    What happens:  Each time the experience is calculated, my pokemon that is directly in the battle gets double the experience of each of my pokes with the shares (ex, 35 for actively participating poke, and 17 for each with the shares).  They are all three OT pokemon.  

     

    What should happen:  The experience gain from the defeated pokemon should be divided by 3 to give 11 per poke when rounded, rather than, what I assume is happening, having it divided into 4 and giving double to one of the pokemon.

    And the IV bonus is too over powered. It is fine how it is.

    Got it, thanks for clearing that up.  I think $500,000 is a good amount for adding IVs though, I think it's something that is worth testing out.

I was battling one of the last rockets in the hideout with a kadabra and I used future sight.  I OHKO'd the first two pokemon and by the time future sight was going to attack the game auto-calculated the damage (which I assume it is supposed to do) but the animation for damage still happened and the pokemon that was supposed to be destroyed by future sight was actually healed to full health.

  6. Of course there is, it's not a case of whether the player can be scaled to the Opponents level, it's a case of how well the AI players, and currently, it's not all that well.

    How well the AI players...?

     

    Giving players the ability to get Lvl 100s has no detrimental effect on the game what so ever, if anything it gives us something to do and it gives a sense of accomplishment when you have multiple 100s.  I actually think it is fun leveling pokemon to 100, and I don't think I'm the only one.

    Weren't you one of the people complaining about how hard it was to get money now, and how expensive breeding was? Then they put back in the payday function on wild pokemon, and you make this suggestion? uwot?

    What's to stop a player from going to cinnebar, paying to unlock 4 flags, then going afk immediately?

    So in other words, even if you unlocked 7 flags, you'd still be under the required 4 to trigger the hatching? So by going AFK your egg would never actually hatch?

     

    -1, we don't need this, you can't go afk and still benefit from breeding, give it a rest man

    Your egg would still hatch;  you need four flags for the timer to start, I doubt the amount of points you get per minute affects that.  I personally think the timer should always be going with at least 1 flag.

  8. I like this idea...  I can't see Masterballs ever having a use other than catching Shinnies anyway.  Maybe make them something like $3,000-$5,000 each

     

    Though, this would also only be useful for people who don't know how to make a Hunter Paras to catch them.

    The ONLY reason to put more lvls on the npc, is increasing the money you can get battling it.

    Also... 30% is a good average increase, it pushes the highest leveled Sevii Island trainers to somewhere around Lvl 65, and the lowest go up to 40 or so, that's a pretty good range in my book.  A 130% increase would put a good amount of NPCs above Lvl 100, we can't have that.  We might be able to have some sort of system where it increases per area, and is based on which gym leader they are closest to.  So maybe the 130% could be for those around Route 2, and 30% for the Sevii Trainers.

    yes, but thats part of the problem. When you can only do it during daytime it limits your options considerably

     

     

    I'm not saying it can't be dealt with - I'm saying that the inconvenience is at least enough to be comparable to the wild encounters in the poketower.  So why aren't you suggesting that EV training be made easier in all locations?

     

     

    Regardless because they plan to rework EV mechanics to make them easier/less mindless grinding I don't really think this is that necessary

    Very well said^,  I really don't see why they need to change the way we get EVs though, they've changed so much they just need to stop changing it and get the game up to how it is supposed to be, THEN change it.

     

    i think that atk is the biggest pain in the ass bc of paris spore. I dont want to do fushia fishing bc it fishing takes too long.

    That is easily fixable too, just use a pokemon that has a fire or flying move and that is faster than paras, and an Exp. Share too

     

    It hurts the game because it means that:

     

    You. Are. Not. Playing. The. Game.

    You're. Watching. TV. While. Holding. Down. Buttons. 

     

    Please explain to me why any situation where this is true should not be a cause for alarm?  Furthermore, 'It actually helped it bc it made breed grinding less frustrating. And im not the only one who thinks this.' could not be less true.  The fact that you and others feel this way doesn't make it true - it just means that you're players, not developers.  And as it turns out, more often than not players are stupid and have no idea what is good for the game - this is one of those times. This is because you are thinking in terms of 'rabble rabble rabble I demand easy, afkable gameplay because I don't want to actually play the game' and not in terms of 'What makes this game something that people have to pay attention to (and even more so, want to pay attention to)?'

     

    A game that you watch TV instead of focusing is hardly a good game.

    While I never liked bikemmo,the current system make me feel like Kyu and Desu are baby sitting me. Now instead of seeing a bunch of people furiously biking left to right on island 4 you see 50 people standing and occationally moving or fishing to not be flagged as "afk." I don't think the new system promotes "gameplay" The majority of people grab their egg, buy their flags, run from 5 encounters and sit.

    Breeding should be changed back to how it is in the handhelds, but keep the IV parameters, they seem much better than the handhelds

     

    Breeding will never be great but onto the thread the idea is like the biking in Pokémon tower one from a bit ago, the game has more important and better things to do.

    I agree, but the things they seem to be doing is ruining the game, I would prefer making the game better with small things than what they have been doing

     

    Totally in agreeance Robo, My post was mainly directed at Danno, The new system does not promote gameplay. If anything the devs implemented this breeding system as some sort of lazy money sink. However the afk timer attached to the eggs just makes breeding "that" much more tedious.

    We need every little thing we can get with how difficult it is to get money anymore.

  12. Yeah but if i face the trainers so many time they get lvl 100s? then my persian cant face the pokemons... and i need to heal before face every npc (just think in the cycling road...)

     

     

    I think there should be some sort of level increase for EVERY NPC trainer that we are able to use the Vs Seeker every time we battle them.  Maybe a 5% increase in level rounded down to the nearest level with a cap of 30% or so.
