    I loved highschool, idk how it is in america, but it looks cool as fuck in the movies with all these sports and clubs to get into and whatnot.
    Ill still have like 2 weeks to enjoy the summer when i get back to Portugal, but i cant wait to be back in college.

     

    It's not very much like the movies, but there are similarities. At my original school, there were still groups such as jocks, nerds, ect. They even acted just like the movies (jocks thinking their better than anyone, nerds being shy and awkward). The thing the movies leave out is the classes, which aren't very fun at all. Also, no school is so happy-go-lucky as in the movies. America is facing economic problems, and due to this most schools are dirty and even face structural problems. That is, unless you live in a large city, have a newer high school, or have a 3/4-A (largely populated) school since the state seems to actually focus on them.

     

    tl;dr: In some ways, it's like the movies. In others, not at all.

    Only 4 periods? You are lucky as fawk.

    I spend my entire day in school , which is 6-7 hours a day ; n ; and you only have 4 a day D;?

    Also , The reason why I am still in highschool is the fact that in our country we have these ''Lvls'' We have Basis / Kader / T / Havo / Atheneum / Gymnasium. Basis/Kader/T = 4 years in total Havo = 5 and Atheneum / Gymnasium = 6  , basicly this is how it goes in my school C:

     

    Hm, although I've never heard of such a system, it sounds very interesting.

     

    Well, don't worry. I also spend around 6 and a half hours in school (8:00 AM - 2:25 PM), but I simply have very long classes. :P

    My first day of school hasn't happened yet. I go back on the 26th (next Monday), but I'm glad. I love my school. It hasn't happened yet, but I'll tell you how I expect it to be.

     

    My School

    Well, first I should say that my High School is also a Technical School, so I have an "Academic Week" and a "Skill Week". Basically, I'm doing college level work there and can get certified to do things. I currently go there for IT & Networking, in preparation for college where I will go for Computer Science. Upon graduation at my school, I'll take the test to get my CompTIA A+ Certification. I will also get many college credits out of the way at this school.

     

    "Academic Week"

    Well, Academic Week is pretty boring like any other school. I know all of my teachers, so I can expect what the first day will be like. I'll take the bus to school, being greeted by the new principle (My IT teacher's wife) then say hi to old friends that I haven't seen in a while. I'll then go to period 1 (there are 4 at my school). That period will be English IV, where the teacher is pretty nice. Depending on the people in my class I will determine whether it will be a fun year or not. I guess the same can be said for periods 2-3 (Financial Literacy, Honors Computer Logic). 4th period will be a fun period, as it will contain all of my classmates from last year. The class is Honors IT & Networking and everyone in it is an internet nerd. In the class we will be told what to expect for the year. We will then go on to work on PCs in the school in need of fixing, whether it be hardware or software related.

     

    "Skill Week"

    Ah, Skill Week, the reason I love the school so much. Periods 1-3 (8:00 AM - 12:45 PM)are all one class; IT & Networking. During that class on the first day we will likely dive right into fixing computers. The teacher has already had all of us for one year and knows we have the knowledge to do most things. I'll get to see my old friend, Aiden, again. The guy is hilarious, and knows more about computers than I could ever >.> I'm jealous. It was in this class last year that I could play PokeMMO almost all day and surf the forums. Anyway, onto 4th period (12:50 PM- 2:25 PM). Period 4 is Computer Literacy. I honestly do not like the teacher. He is also my Honors Computer Logic teacher but that doesn't change the fact. He has been known in the past to beat his wife, and I honestly don't like it. Honors Computer Literacy, hm, I'm honestly not sure how the first day will be, so I'm ending it here.
