I suppose it's down to personal experiences, but the NHS healthcare we get here is shit. I broke my ankle in July and they told me it was a strain, finally got it casted last week but too late so now I need an op. So im pretty mad atm seeing as I would have got help sooner had they not shut down 2 of our A&E departments for "funding" lol. Im glad your Grandad is ok.

I'm currently playing through Skyrim :) Such an awesome game! I chose to play through as a Khajiit, enjoying it loads so far. I take it everyone else has played Skyrim? :P I only got into gaming over the past 2 years or so (but have always loved pokemon and Zelda) but the game that got me into gaming was Dead Rising 2, I love that game!

Not at the moment, what was once an amazing thing is being slowly ruined. Damn shame :(

Game of Thrones (read all the books before so was haps that it got made into a show), Breaking Bad, The League, Modern Family. Also 'orange is the new black' is a new Netflix exclusive and I watched the whole series in a day, it was awesome!

I'm a massive fan of this show :) I cant wait until Monday (when us Brits get to watch it). Not sure how to do a spoiler tag so I wont say anything about the plot :P, but have you heard about the plans to make a spin off after the series finishes about Saul Goodman? Should be pretty epic no? Edit: Also, best moment of Breaking Bad EVER:

Finishing up a degree to qualify as a researcher for the government in the department of education. It is as boring as it sounds.

The media wont publish things that they do not think their audience wont want to hear/read/see. Im from England so will use the example of British newspapers, each newspaper over here caters to a certain target market. The Daily Mail publishes a story with a spin on it that will engage their right wing readers, so most issues in society are caused by immigration according to them (go figure), whereas The Guardian is so liberal it hurts. Media moguls didnt wake up one day and decide to be racially stereotypical in their publications, there had to be a reason or market for that. Racism outdates the media, long before we had access to it daily we had slavery, the holocaust, with a load of sexism and homophobia thrown in for good measure. If the media wasnt around to preach these beliefs to us then that means there was a different platform to instil these stereotypes into society. I suppose the point im trying to make is that mass media cant be given sole blame for the reason why we have racists, homophobes and sexists in todays society, which seems to be increasingly the case.
