I never said this was my thread. I was referring to my original thread that was closed pretty much immediately after i opened it that was meant to be for discussion.

I made the thread so others could discuss as well. The thread wasnt just for me fucking kek.

Like i said before if i didnt make the thread calling out the TC for OBVIOUS DECISIONS CLOUDED BY BIAS. Then nobody else would have. I never claimed i was an expert on lax.

You expect me to be up to date with every single post in that thread? C'mon.

Public discussion should not = private discussion. You know those 2 players are biased thats why you shouldnt have included them in the vote. You know they havent been there for the months of the discussion as you all had been before as well. Not to mention you pretty much could just cherry pick candidates that are proponents of keeping lax legal is you really wanted to throw the vote. Its sounding to me like you might be the one behind all the corruption and bias at this point. Whispering in tyrones ear "pick this guy" because it fits your bias.

There is nothing to add to that thread. It has been talked in circles over and over and over. Anything i could have said in there had already been said.

Ok now the truth surfaces. How am i supposed to know he ""doesnt care" about OU? Maybe this bias was done out of negligence for the tier then because he "doesnt care" about it. Isnt the whole point of the TC to talk about things for months before coming to a decision. Why add two n00bs right before a vote? Especially when you already know their opinion. They werent involved in those months of discussion internally. Their opinions should not be considered valid. A revote should commence now that we know what actually happened. Without the 2 new TC members.

Idk what his motives are. It appears to just be personal bias. Regardless, 3 people is far too few to make a decision for thousands of others.

45% r8 is a sign that something is overcentralized. 4 walls is fine but they have to have some down side. What makes chansey/snorlax SOOO OP is the combo of its typing, spdef, hp, and (in snorlaxs case) amazing movepool and attack stat. Nobody runs fighting moves, and if they do its way easy to scout. Snorlax also doubles as a phys wall once he gets 1 curse off. Forcing the player to use gimmick sets to deal with just 1 threat.

If i didnt say anything literally nobody else would have. Literally everyone is biased in one way or another. Your biased, Tyrone is biased, every single member of the TC is biased. Thats why im calling for there to be many more members of the TC. Anyone that thinks snorlax isnt ubers is obviously using him and too busy being happy on winning every match to see past that (also the absurd 45% usage rate). Hes clearly broken. I think i would be a lot less agitated if i was actually allowed to state my opinion and start a thread without it having a mod reply 1 really generic statement and not allow me to explain my logic. Its not coincidence when Tyrone is the almighty TC god that decides who gets picked. Maybe is we saw their "credentials" publicly we could say for certain there are fit to be on TC or not. Too bad this is all done in secrecy. We also know for certain they are both proponents of snorlax. You can literally smell the bias from a mile away.

Thats a bad argument. The pokemont that those 2 counter arent at 45% usage. We would still be left with lots of sp walls to choose from too. umbreon, dusclops, venusaur, porygon2, milotic

We have been talking about snorlax for months in the competitive section of the forums. Literally everything that can and could be said about snorlax is said in that thread. They have been talking in circles over and over. Those 2 people added most certainly did participate in the vote. And they were both publicly supporting snorlax beforehand. That's why i was using the term "corruption". Because thats what it is.

Clearly nobodies extremely in depth discussion in the snorlax thread was heard because it was overshadowed by the bias which results from so few people voting. Jesus Christ atleast let us discuss your decisions. Tier Council is not a popularity contest. Whats wrong with people actually earning the position instead of just magically being fit for the roll. You dont share any of your criteria for doing so, and like i said before. You "randomly" added two people to the TC who already had public bias towards snorlax, right before a vote is taking place. Polling the intire playerbase is ineffective because not everyone has a clue about Tiering and metagame balance. Thus option 3. Top 8 in an official tournament isn't that difficult to achieve. Yeah maybe in your eyes but for the most part it weeds out the strong from the weak. Maybe top 4 is more suitable i guess? I dont think anyone who would get to the top 4 of a 128 person tourney would have "no idea" of the meta.

This is getting pretty ridiculous guys. There are only like 4 members of the tier council, and then right when you need to take a vote you add 2 players that clearly have a public bias towards supporting snorlax. Yeah way to make the outcome what you wanted it to be. 6~ people shouldnt decide the outcome of an entire playerbase's game. Who should make these decisions you ask? Oh i dont know. The playerbase. I propose 3 options. 1. We hold public elections and have a much larger TC. People shouldn't just be "appointed" to the role. They should earn it and show, to EVERYONE, that they are fit for the position. This takes the power out of a select few so their bias can not show through as easily. 2. We poll the entire game to make our decisions. When you log in there could be an extra box that asks you the most pertinent question for the time. Once you click yes/no it goes away forever until the next time a vote is needed. 3. We only poll the top 8 comp players from every official comp. This is because you could claim that new players "dont know the meta like we do". Well im pretty sure the people actually winning the tournaments know whats broken or not.

Welll... the max amount of x31s anyone should really have is 3. 1 for 252 in something. another, 252. and the third 31 for the 6 left over of whatnot (this adds 1 point). The other 2-3 stats than arent having evs added to them should just be 30. This is because 30 and 31 both add 15 points at level 50, without ev points. So lets say for example i am making a slowbro. Idgaf about speed or attack so the only stats that matter (for me in this build) are HP, def, SpAtk, Spdef. Im building it as a defensive wall so my ev spread is going to be 252 def, 252 hp, 6 sp atk . That makes those 3 my 31s and sp def needs to be 30. Now you simply go onto the gtl and search for something in its egg group that has 30 spdef AND 31 def/hp/atk. Very often you will find these 1x31+1x30 mons for under 20k (cheaper than braces and pokeballs). Then you just use the 30 spdef as a base and buy the other stats you need to. Using this technique buying pokemon can actually be quite cheaper, and easier to breed.

lol well rip i guess it is a really viable pokemon but if you keep making them switch then hit them with something you know will be neutral and after a while there whole team will be rekt or they will be forced to sacrifice that starmie .

Thats just a product of your team then. You need something faster than it and with a SE move against it. Jolteon, Aerodactyl, and swfit banded heracross all are good to ohkoing it, an/or forcing a switch.

That was years ago and pretty much needed to happen to make like half of the pokemon in gen 3 viable. The devs have openly stated that they arent looking to add more regions because this would make pokemmos playebase very spread apart. Kyu said himself that he doesnt want pokemmo to be "as big as an ocean but as shallow as a puddle". Adding new regions add nothing of true substance. The meta is always evolving. You could start gittin gud with shuckle and maybe he'll be OU one day. Thats how there things work. We decide the meta based on our choices and our actions and it will constantly evolve and change. Also gen 4 completely blew competitively. But im sure you never played comp in that game. Why would I go to a shittier inferior pokemon MMO for no reason? Because they have more pokemon and shittier meta/playerbase? Yeah no thanks. More pokemon doesnt = better game. We know alot about this game and where its heading. The devs pretty much openly talk about whats coming next. Most of what i am saying is based on things the devs had said. Well thats excatly what they would do/already are doing. People would decide what region they like the best based on favoritism alone. People that really like johto would only stay there. Sam for kanto hoenn sinnoh or any other region. This would certainly spread the playerbase away from each other. As it is right now alot of players view going to hoenn as kind of a drag so the devs keep giving us cool stuff to do there. Gym leader rematches, berries, battle frontier. Now hoenn has become pretty much more important than kanto leaving kanto to be much more empty than it was before. Well adding new moves isnt possible because the games take the resources from the ROMs directly. New items have shown to be possible however theres only like 3 more future gen items that could be added that people would use. (weakness policy, eject button, red card). Also once again ading new pokemon would only disrupt the meta and doesnt even mean that it would make it "better" or "more fun". Look at gen 6. You have 700 pokemon to choose from but people only use like 20 of those regularly in a tierless, unmoderated battle system. This game has more diversity than gen 6 and it has almost half as many pokemon in total. Think about that.
