I think the Customization forum was originally intended to be this. A few users (me included) hijacked it into a GUI changing forum though.

There is actually, the login.xml decides how the images are cut into different parts which can or can not be stretched. Pretty sure its possible to edit it directly in the Xml file itself (If you know where to look.. lots of text) or by using the TWL theme editor.

Definitely. the GUI engine is quite flexible and it will change the colours without any problem whatsoever.

That's possible, simply follow this tutorial. A: Find your login.xml file in the pokemmo/data/gui file folder. B: IMPORTANT Create a backup of login.xml(copy the file into the same folder with a different filename) C: Open login.xml with your favorite text file editor (I use Notepad++ myself). D: Use the search function to look for "fontDef". E: Look for the text type you want to change the colour for using the image I have provided: F: Pick the colour you want, some standard ones are available from JAVA itself (i.e.:red,black,white) but I recommend using a Hex value to edit them. To find a hex value for a specific colour you can use this handy website. G: Put the colour at the right places like so: "#FFC0CB" (between the quotation marks). H: Save login.xml. I: Start pokeMMO, if you have done things properly it should start without any problems, if not it will give you a render error. Use the backup you have created to set things right, and restart this tutorial if you still want to change the colours.

Steps to install: A: Open the .zip inside you will find these this file: login.xml B: Extract it to a random folder C: Open another file browser window and browse to the location where you have PokeMMO installed. It should look like this: E: Open the "data" folder. F: Open the "gui" folder which is inside the "data" folder. G: Copy login.xml into the "gui" folder. When asked to replace, click yes. Now start pokeMMO, your different coloured chat should be installed and good to go. Happy gaming. This fix should work until the next patch at least, I can not guarantee it will work after that.

I think this is due to how java works with panels, I have worked with Java before and came across the same problem.

Hm, may be smart to make several sub-forums in the main forum then, to sort the guides into categories.

What would these guides entail? things relating to modding GUIs?, things related to the game itself (I.E where to get badges) or simply on every subject?
