It was mentioned that you can be eliminated even before you get your first starter. On match 3 I had only a level 5 Shroomish while waiting for the trades to be available, had someone attacked me then, early elimination. Not to mention, those with the afore mentioned Ninetails could wipe out most of the starters pokemon before they could catch anything else. Strategy was lost because people decided to get as many good pokemon early on as possible to have a better chance. There needs to be a way that awards people for not going after pokemon at the start with something that could be dangerous to other competators, making them desirable and ofcourse creating a large window where you can ambush people to eliminate them.. So yeah, Feast = good idea. It gives more options.

It was great, but looking back in it while speaking in Teamspeak we noticed a few flaws. 1. The starters were unbalanced, Alakazam was almost unusable without a pokemon on your team that could reduce speed, Nintails was simply OP (I won with it Second round, Spxter won with it third round, both were team sweeps). I noticed you removed the starmie after the first round, good call, it was too powerful, I know because I was the one using it in the first round. 2. The potential for catching too many pokemon, big flaw that could easily be solved by 6V6 maximums and switching the format to Double battles. It would also help with the starter balancing too since there'd be more ways to counter them. 3. Nothing to aim for aside from pokemon, everyone at the start of each round first hunted pokemon, why, because they knew that was what everyone would be doing. Getting a good team of pokemon was pretty much the primary way to win, no one wanted to battle early. I'd suggest adding something called the feast, an observer in the surf hut that gives random great stuff to trainers that trade with them. This would make a good place to ambush people and a target to get to aside from more pokemon, as players getting there first would have an advantage over other players. These are all just ideas to solve potential flaws though, I'm just putting them out there because we discussed it in TS.

I had finished typing mine and sent it before I noticed he'd already said something. Too late by then so I just continued, didn't realise how odd it looked until I watched the video back, by then, too late.
