I'm writing this suggestion as the incoming of a friends suggestion, but I really agree with this. As it is now we don't have choice band/scarf/specs which often leads to the fact that more defensive teams can be very hard to break, especially some of the strong walls. I think by making the type-enhancing items(Mystic Water, Charcoal, etc.) work by generation 4 and onwards mechanism, which means the type-enhacing items boosts 20%, instead of generation 3 mechanisms, which means the type-enhancing items boosts 10%, could help nurf some of the walls a little. Sometimes having that extra 20% damage can make the difference between a 2hko and a ohko, or a 3hko and 2hko, while the extra 10% just isn't worth using as an item(in most cases) I think by making it 20% would be able to make a great difference. So basically change type-enhancing items from 10% to 20%. I found out this was suggested back in 2012 but things have changed now and I was wondering what peoples opinions on this is now? Discuss.

So the idea I have is that teams should be able to have their gyms, exactly like the everyday poke gyms we're all familiar with. I call the idea TAEM GYMS. Here are more details: 1- Qualifying teams to have gyms: Not any team should be allowed to have their own gyms because that would be a big mess. I suggest the following qualifications for having gyms: a) Beating the Elite Four for each member. b ) Each member has to pay say 100000 Pokecoins to start the gym. c) The gym members must all have specific types up to 2. For example: a Ground/ Rock gym. 2- Gym location: Gym locations should be flexible. For example, gyms can be started in empty houses, in caves, in special buildings like the ghost tower, on bridges, in the sea.. etc. Moreover, maybe PokeMMO can build special empty houses in each city for team gyms. 3- Gym activity: this is to make sure gyms stay active and fun at the same time. I suggest the following: a) Each channel can have different gyms in it for more fun. For example, there could be only one gym in Altering Cave in channel 1, but there could be another gym in the same place in channel 2 b ) Any player should be able to fight team gyms after beating the Elite Four. c) Players as well as gym members should gain money upon beating the other, just like the normal gyms we're familiar with. d) If a player beats a team gym, he/she should be given a badge showing the name/type/date of the team gym he/she beat, which should give the player boosting points and bragging rights! e) Battling should be competitive. i.e: no potions, heals and revives are allowed during a team gym battle. f) Each player should have only one chance daily to fight a team gym, regardless if the player wins or loses. g) If a team gym is beaten way too frequently, it should be disqualified from having a gym. h) If a team gym has been inactive for over a week, it should be disqualified from having a gym. i) As I said earlier, a team gym should stick to a specific Pokemon type (or 2 max.). j) Pokemon levels of team gym members should be homogeneous. For example, levels between 60 and 75. Please spread the idea if you like it.. thanks for your time.. I really hope this gets implemented :D
