Beat up is counting statused (burnt) pokemon as dead?

Varying number of attacks. For example I had 6 pokemon but it only hit 5 times and when I had 5 it only hit 3 times. However at the beginning of the battle it hit the full 6 times. I believe it may be because for the first example my conkeldurr was burnt and for the second both conkeldurr and my weavile was burnt. Is status specifically burn lowering the number of beat ups or is this a glitch?

its not a glitch, thats how beat up works, and its like that with any status, not just burn
